Now you can enjoy your teabagging parties throughout the day, as a ridiculous negative greeting has delayed our release date until tonight or tomorrow at the latest.
IF THIS IS THE BEST THEY CAN DO, WE’RE FORTUNATE…
The rules of negative greeting are that if your karma is good, they can’t STOP you from doing something… but they certainly can create agonizing delays in the process.
Our long-awaited release of Wanderer Awakening is still going to happen, but probably not until tonight or maybe even tomorrow, depending on factors outside our control.
Two things — first of all, if you have visited the site yesterday or today you’ll see, in big flaming red letters, that our site is still secure despite the SSL notification you would get if you tried to place an order.
Note from Webmaster at 4:20PM CDT:
The SSL certificate is now installed and store is back online.
“Wanderer Awakening” is currently being mastered and upload to the server will happen immediately afterwards.
Negative greeting struck yesterday, the 14th, because people were trying to order our products, only to get this big warning message from the browser (they make it VERY terrifying-looking) that our site was not secure. In order to do online commerce you must have a Secure Socket Layer, or SSL, certification. Ours is from Verisign.
Verisign completely neglected to inform us that our certificate was about to expire — not even a single reminder email was received. Had we known, we would have obviously paid the 100 bucks and kept it up. This is just an outside company that reviews our site and certifies that we have a secure server so your credit information is safe.
It was a natural expiration — one year since the last time we re-upped it. The site is just as secure as always. The certificate has nothing to do with the actual security system itself — it’s just a pat on the back from an authority figure who says, “Yeah, they’re good. Let ’em in.”
We had no idea this problem would strike the day before our biggest release ever! It definitely was a strong case of “bad timing”, intended to embarrass us and make us look unprofessional if you believe in such a thing as negative greeting (we certainly do) but now we’re waiting to hear back from Verisign. As soon as we do, we should be back up and running without any problems.
Larry and I have worked feverishly to get everything done in time for this release, and it was only late last night that Larry finished all the last-minute additions, tweakings and mixes to the songs on the record. Today he is mastering, which is the last step before we convert the files to MP3s and publish them here on the site.
The chances are that the mastering will take most of the day. I will publish my new article at the same time that we get the release in order — so it probably won’t be until late tonight. Unless we have a further problem with Verisign delaying, everything should be good to go by tomorrow.
TEABAGGING UPDATE
Writing about teabagging parties can be a mouthful, but we’ve decided to surge ahead and extend ourselves as deeply as possible into the dark, yawning cavern of this investigation.
There is now an entire website dedicated to exposing how the Neocons have completely bought, paid for and promoted this desperate attempt at a revolution, where so many people can get together and have fun hanging out.
The new “Save the Rich” website has all the details, including shocking audio of the same types of ‘robocalls’ that were used to try to teabag the election and spoon-feed us more of the same nutty stuff that we’d all grown so tired of having shoved in our faces:
Save the Rich: The Truth About the Fox News Tea Parties
Naturally, the old guard had no idea they would be exposed so quickly. They are used to doing their teabagging under the cover of night, and had no idea that the jaws of the alternative media would close around them in their most sensitive and personal places.
Thankfully, they’ve come out with a long and well-endowed puff piece to reassure us all is well, and there are no truths to the nasty rumors of morally or ethically sketchy activities in their teabagging.
Everything is perfectly straightforward, long and strong as the streets fill to the brim with red-faced teabaggers, eagerly shouting various ejaculations of delight. There’s nothing dirty about it, and how dare we judge or criticize them for their lifestyle choices?
It might be hard to swallow, but I’m pretty sure you can take it all in (emphasis added):
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB123975867505519363.html
Today American taxpayers in more than 300 locations in all 50 states will hold rallies — dubbed “tea parties” — to protest higher taxes and out-of-control government spending. There is no political party behind these rallies, no grand right-wing conspiracy, not even a 501(c) group like MoveOn.org.
So who’s behind the Tax Day tea parties? Ordinary folks who are using the power of the Internet to organize…
The movement grew so fast that some bloggers at the Playboy Web site — apparently unaware that we’ve entered the 21st century — suggested that some secret organization must be behind all of this. But, in fact, today’s technology means you don’t need an organization, secret or otherwise, to get organized. After considerable ridicule, the claim was withdrawn, but that hasn’t stopped other media outlets from echoing it…
This influx of new energy and new talent is likely to inject new life into small-government politics around the nation. The mainstream Republican Party still seems limp and disorganized.
This grassroots effort may revitalize it.
And now, for a few farewell messages to help firm up support for these in-depth, probing explorations of personal liberty — and the right to bare arms — that are filling the waiting mouths of so many angry Americans with the overwhelmingly sweet taste of revenge:

Tea Bagging
I appreciate the fact that not all tea baggers are puppets for the GOP and the dark ones. My question is, since this has been going on since 1913 why wait until a Black president is elected to protest?
This clearly is saying that Obama is corrupt when it is the left behind Bush/Rove factions that are still doing business as usual.
Clean up of our government has begun. It is not being televised as yet but sources say that there will soon be a revealing like no other in history.
Heads will roll including members of Obama’s cabinet, Bush Rove and many other dark ones. The banking and corporate systems will be done away with and gold is already being shipped to the US Treasury.
Obama is clever and has to make it appear that he is not aware of certain things as the economy is his main focus right now. These things will come to pass before 2010.

Oh, and I agree with one of the previous commenters: this tea party movement is an attempt to emulate both the style of Ron Paul (without his anti-war stance – how you can talk about cutting spending while ignoring the Pentagon budget is absolutely inexcusable) and the organizational strategy of the Obama campaign (social networking and lots of emotional rhetoric without substance).
That all said, one can be against the teabaggers AS WELL AS against big government and taxation. I know we all think Obama is a savior, but it’s far more important to govern and understand yourself than some political phenomenon. In my opinion, we are approaching the time when many things will become possible, including a world without the state.

LMAO… Thank you for my daily dose of witticisms, you were on a role there 😉

I sense tension on this topic b/c I feel JT hit it right on the money with his post…..he views the “movement” as a way to have people unite and speak up and stand together against corruption. It should become obvious that is the main focus. When I hear David and others poke fun at this, it promotes negative energy and takes our focus away and keeps us disconnected. It’s just another tool for division to help promote anger…..As much as I respect David he is way off base with Obama. Remember, we all need to be leaders to ourselves and find truths in us, no matter how smart and accurate people may seem, the truth is the truth and cannot be defined or explained but only found within.

David, I have to agree with JT here. I too have followed your website for some time now and I have to admit I’m struggling a bit as to why you’ve come out attacking this with such furor. Isn’t this part of what you’ve been talking about here for a long time – a collective awakening of the people?
The rally we attended in Connecticut was also well attended and quite peaceful. In our town, we all chipped in and chartered school buses ourselves. There were no funds from Fox, the GOP or anyone else… Of course we’ve had these events many times before in our state – one of which made national and international news networks nearly a decade ago. My understanding is that all the rallies in the tri-state areas were very much in the same spirit. I personally found the atmosphere quite positive, hopeful and uplifting.
I have no doubt that the neocons would’ve loved to have appropriated this movement for their own uses, and likewise the far left with their planned counter rallies, but the fact of the matter is none of this materialized in any significance. I think most average citizens saw right through these attempts and brought their own messages to the streets. Frankly, I just didn’t see the masses chanting the latest talking points or demanding armed revolutions.
After watching the news last night, I can also tell you that the rally I attended in our little state had far more people at it than the ones selectively featured by the mainstream media.
I never saw this as a great neocon sponsored event. Fox is free to make as many posters as they want, but that’s not going to stop friends and neighbors from gathering for the greater good on THEIR terms. Yes, it is possible for people to assemble freely in grassroots efforts. As I mentioned earlier, we’ve done it before in this state. We’ve also been sending teabags to elected officials for years here in New England. It’s not childish; it’s part of the culture. I wouldn’t expect people from other parts of the country to get that 🙂
On any given day I talk with many people on both sides of the fence politically. What I find striking is that they’re all starting to sound like they’re on the same team now. Why not explore this development more?
I would dare to say that I think as a people, we are approaching a point where media campaigns and the best laid plans aren’t necessarily going to be swallowed by the masses. So whomever you think is out there trying to engineer negativity and mayhem… They can keep on trying. I doubt those efforts will pick up any steam at this point. They certainly didn’t yesterday.
I remain hopeful that positive change is coming, but I don’t think this rests only on the shoulders of one man in the white house. Ultimately I think it’s all up to us.

Let’s use these tea bag rallies for truth. Make a sign proclaiming the Oneness and need for real UNITY of all differences in order to begin moving in a positive direction. If a lot of of do this, it will affect the consciousness of people around us. Lets show people what it means to be truly enlightened when you realize ALL is ONE and not follow the sheep herd of ignorance. Namaste.

I see that many of the commenter’s here did not actually go to one of these Tea party’s and are relying far too much on Youtube and media as opposed to direct experience. I was a little timid as to whether to go to the local one here in Rhode Island in Providence. Particularly after reading David’s assertion that it was all coordinated by Faux news and very right wing (I’m not affiliated either way), I almost didn’t go, but I was curious to see for myself.
After having gone, I can personally attest that around this area, with the people who showed up, and what was said, this has little to do with republicans, or any kind of partisanship. MSNBC’s coverage does a dis-service to what I saw with my own eyes in my own backyard, and that does not represent us in RI at all. In 3 hours we had about 3000 people at the statehouse, and the focus was on removing the corruption from our government, on all levels, federal, state, and local. About purging the greed and excess of our sluggish system, and put us back on the road to honesty, with accountability being a major priority. I fail to see how anyone here can argue against those values. This state is known to run on corruption, and many people here are tired of it.
It’s clear to me that these news networks (which we all know are bought and paid for) are playing off each other to make this look like some extremist right wing nut movement. The rally I attended had the exact same attitude as the Ron Paul campaign. It’s not as well known, but after the 08 election, Ron Paul started his Campaign for liberty. This whole Tea Party thing is an attempt to co-opt this sort of TRUE grassroots movement, and portray it as some attack against Obama. These national media outlets are trying to discredit anything that will give the people cohesion enough to stand up to the the established power structure, who keep us from reaching our true potential as a nation, and ultimately as a world and species.
I’m sorry David, I’ve been following your work for a few years now, and find much of what you have to say to be great food for thought. But I find I have a serious problem with how you are mocking this, and not giving it the proper context with which to view this. Whether this movement was hijacked or not, or even if it was coordinated by republicans who are sore losers, and it became something more. The point is, I saw thousands of people in my own community with the willingness to stand in the cold and wind for 3 hours because they don’t like the way things are going, because they want a better world, and are willing to work for it. These people need a way to be able to SERIOUSLY coordinate change. The Ron Paul campaign didn’t get far enough. And maybe this Tea Party movement, and all the juvenile mockery it’s garnered, isn’t so great for the purpose of real change. Maybe the underlying motivation and energy behind it was perverted by the likes of Faux News and Newt. Gingrich, but these are thousands of people who went on their own time out of their own volition, because they are upset. Are you really going to ignore the effort and motivation behind that? Because ultimately that motivation is to improve the human condition. Isn’t this yet another symptom of increasing human consciousness?
Over the years you haven’t shown me enough verifiable proof to stake my future on some inevitable ascension, or your even less verified claims that Obama is destroying the NWO. I am NOT going to sit around to wait for 3 years to see if you are right, and that Obama will fix everything. That and if some spontaneous reality shift, where everything will be 100 times more harmonious, is going to actually happen. I hope you are right. But my life experiences have shown me that Gandhi was correct, you must be the change you hope to see in the world. That requires ACTIVE participation. I known you’ve never said that it didn’t, but there is only so much you can do with meditating, self improvement, and reading quasi scientific material. This knowledge has to be applied not just on an individual level, but also directed at the huge structures we use in our communities and society. And that is exactly what the people who went out to greet this Tea Party movement are grappling to do. Maybe it is energy misdirected, but please acknowledge and respect that initial energy and motivation, and mention it as such, rather than just criticizing Faux news and ringwingers. Don’t ignore the people who went out and tried to move things in the direction we all hope to go in, and there really is enormous potential here to get things moving towards a better country.
And yeah, maybe sending teabags somewhere isn’t the best idea in the world, but it’s certainly better than doing nothing, and at least it’s on TV in people’s faces and might cause them to think about these things instead of watching something mindless, as usual.
David, you often suggest that certain negative occurrences in your life are symptomatic of issues you may be having. I noticed how the latest troubles with your website and certificate started around the time you started covering these tea parties. Is it too forward of me to suggest that you put it into perspective a bit? Maybe I’m off base, but it does seem rather synchronistic, and not unlike your frequent claims of seeing 333 (or other sequences) on clocks (or wherever) to be evidence of things yet to come, which, I’m sorry to say, really does strain your credibility in my eyes. Maybe you are 100 percent correct, but you must understand how much such loose ‘proof’ doesn’t give me any confidence in your message. And it would be inconsistent to say that this website problem isn’t somehow related to your own state of being.

Don’t worry about deadlines, David! There’s absolutely no rush. We can surely wait a while longer for your article and album!! :zzz
I mean sure, having a new album with new hit songs would have been a firm and spritely event at my tea-bag get-together today, but sometimes we have to learn to tolerate processes that might be more slower-moving and sagging.
The important thing is to have fun during the process. And yes, sometimes the process can get all hairy and sweaty–but that’s all part of the game David!!!
Just take a deep breath, hold it … … hoooooooold ittttttttt!!!! … and we … your tea-bagger fans will go easy on you: no deadlines, no worries!
Remember, no matter how odd the process may seem, if you’re having fun, we’ll be having fun (I think … umm … nevermind). BTW, I think you may have missed this important link in your article above for further elucidation:

That MSNBC report is complete BS. Both Faux and the left media hijacked this NONPARTISAN movement of both conservatives and liberals and said it came from the Republican leadership which it did NOT. It came from restore the republic/911 truth style groups that know they’re all bought and paid for. The media did so to break up the unity of the people. Come on how can you believe this garbage its meant for the sheeple staring at their televisions. And taxes ARE increasing, the tax code was gutted of exemptions everyones goes up not to mention the states increasing taxes on just about everything. We do have more than one tax here. And predictably they made it all about Obama when it is not focused on him but the govt as a whole.
Im still looking forward to your proof David tonight. and i hope its rock solid.

“Writing about teabagging parties can be a mouthful” – I love you man! I laughed so hard last night watching those embedded vids, and then this. Too good. I love to see that you still have such a wonderful sense of ha-ha. Amidst all of this uproarious upheaval it’s good to know some of us haven’t lost the ability to laugh. Hi David! Thanks so much for you work!
Just a heads up… Though the Tea Party got invaded by Neo Cons and others from the mainstream media, it was originally organized by former freedom loving and peaceful Ron Paul supporters and members of Restore the Republic. The tea party was to call peaceful attention to the many illegal actions of our government. Though it appears to have been
hijacked by Faux news.
Thank you for all you do David. I anxiously await any good news you have-even news on Obama. Anything that will show me PROOF that he isn’t another big government puppet. I look at voting records. Any talk, is just that: Talk. How they vote sums it up. Obama’s voting record is worst than poor. If what you say about him is true, I look for that to change! So far all I see is a continual slide to tyranny. Please give us something concrete and good!
Richest blessings up on you!
