Many of us believe that we have private thoughts - we living an existance alone and separated from the whole. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this belief - but it's not true. Our experiences are a direct result of our belief system. If we believe in a separated individual 'self', we will have an experience of being separate and alone. However, if we DARE take the chance and release our attachment to this concept of being a separate individual, we awaken to the knowledge of the Ascended Masters. We are One!
