Hi WillowWoman,
Kris (fellow mod) and I have just returned from watching this, and... what you said! Good synopsis, I feel the same. A very good rollicking ol' Hollywood re-mash of all we have seen before, I was able to suspend my own preconceived notions regarding 2012 and just enjoy a standard hero/crisis/resolution adventure flick! I am left ruminating about the superficial grafting of this tale of absolute cataclysm onto themes of the positive view of what the 2012 era really means, in terms of how many of the millions who watch this have not previously been exposed to the 'genre', so to speak. What is a seemingly inevitable result is that - in that people are in general veterans of Hollywood presentations of really far out storytelling in the realm of the fantastic, folks in general may not necessarily be scared by this, yet be gripped by curiosity and start googling '2012'! Here, each will find perhaps an unexpected wealth of info regarding the unique times we are living in, and many will settle in at their own comfort level - whether that is doomy-gloomy, all is lost kinda stuff or they may well discover those who are interpreting this as the greatest, most wonderful time in history. Everyone will find what they want to find. There are those who will be moved to explore this 2012 thing, and will undoubtedly come across the positive and spiritually uplifting truth as to this whole era bearing witness to the birth of something greater and grander than has been seen here before. A movie of great potential to catalyze the masses into a voyage of self discovery. It'll be interesting to see to what extent this movie serves to bring this all into mainstream consciousness! All is good, and going according to divine plan... Mark

I just saw it today, and in my most honest opinion the movie was much better than I thought it would be. It actually has a pretty good story line and of course jaw dropping special effects. The main reason I really enjoyed the movie is because I already knew that it has negative things happening and that it talks about how the mayans predicted destruction.
But if you ignore the negative information and focus more on the story about the people and just enjoy the effects, you will probably like the movie. One of the parts that I liked is. (Spoiler #1) The part where there in the ark and the geologist says, basically, that how can we rebuild a humanity with cruelty, we have to use love, and compassion for one another. And after his speech, they listened to him instead of the other guy and they let the rest of the people in the facility including the workers, on the ship(ark). What I'm trying to say is that out of all the negativity there are positive messages I believe that hint to the spiritual and physical evolution path rather than the destructive one. And when pieced together, you get messages that say if we do not wish to go down the destructive path we need to get rid of the cruelty and separatism than runs are world today. And saying that I see 2012 is just a movie that shows even if we go down the negative path, when we treat ALL people with respect, compassion, love and unity and see that we ALL are important and that everybody's life is worth more than all the riches in the world, we will survive and move on. 2012 symbolizes the end of the material oriented world and the birth of a new one based on peace and realization. (Just in a dramatized hollywood fashion) No matter what, just stay in the light.

I'd like to start by introducing myself as this is my first time posting on these forums, though I've been a reader for quite some time. My name is Chris, and I'm 22, male, and currently residing in Colorado.
Okay, now that that is out of the way... If you haven't seen the television show Defying Gravity I'd highly recommend you do so. It begins at the onset of a manned NASA mission to "study the atmosphere and geology of Venus." As the show moves forward, the viewer comes to discover that there may be other intentions for this mission that even the astronauts are not aware of. What makes this show so interesting and relevant to these forums is that while some shows may hint at subjects of interest to readers of the LoO, Defying Gravity is filled with such things from beginning to end, such as fractal geometry, entities, for lack of a better word, which speak through personally meaningful audio and visual hallucinations and emit small amounts of radiation, which has the ability to alter an individual's DNA, beacons on Venus, Mars, and Pluto, spirituality seen from multiple perspectives, etc. It may also be of interest to note that the show was canceled in the U.S. halfway through the first series, even though all episodes for that series had already been shot. You can't even find the second half on American internet broadcasting stations, you have to search around. Canada continued to broadcast until the end of the season. I'm not sure whether it will be continued for a second season but the script has been written. It has excellent acting, actors, including the guy who played the main character on the movie Office Space, and phenomenal special effects. If anyone would like a link to a site that has all of the episodes just shoot me a PM. |

Think what you will of V(the new series), whether it instills fear or not, but the latest episode had something interesting. The Visitors were planning on integrating poison into the latest flu vaccine. When released it would have been deadly. The show's heroes put a stop to it.
This is all the more surprising coming from ABC, and considering who they're owned by... Looks like the truth is coming out in snippets even from the most unlikely sources.

I have seen 2012 and was not impressed at all, other than the end which who knows oneday may happen all the in between was too far fecthed a plane racing against the runway going etc..
People paying lots of money to be the ones saved, yet money would be worrthless as everything was gone.. I have also seen the knowing, now that film was much better, even had a better story, I thought the ending was very good, well not for earth, but on who was saved. Regards Debra |

them. 2012 on the other hand implies everyone is worth saving and a lot of good honest people were saved at the end including a continent who was spared of any disaster which also implies they were saved too and did not have to go through the hard ships that everyone else had to through, which to me is a fair and logical ending if you understand history and the science of consciousness and how disharmony can cause disaster. Any way's, a lot of people were saved in 2012, not just the rich, or two children of one culture. |

Distractions is all they are, designed to make people forget about what is truly important, and they do...
