Default Security Certificate Errors

Since the upgrading of the site, some people have reported seeing Security Certificate errors.

I would be interested to find out which pages are doing this and under what circumstances.

Currently, I am using Firefox, Safari, Opera, and IE8 as my browsers here and no longer see these errors as of today since I did some work to fix the errors.

However, there was one person who (after I had worked and fixed the errors) reported that she was still seeing the certificate warning.

If you are getting a security certificate warning, please post a reply on this thread along with the link that is giving the error, your browser (ie6, ie7, ie8, Firefox, Safari, or whatever) along with your computer type (PC, Mac etc).

It would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

Larry

Default Security Certificate Errors

Larry,

I've seen this before on the site. This occurs if the URL in an embedded link contains "https://www.divinecosmos.com/". The combination of "https://'" and "www" causes this error because the certificate for the site only works for divinecosmos.com and not www.divinecosmos.com.

What you want is a wildcard certificate for *.divinecosmos.com, or make sure that you remove the www from any embedded links in the site.

Let me know if you need any questions...I have lots of experience with this and would love to help.

Default Hi Larry,

This isn't about a security certificate and I'm not sure if it's a problem with your computer or mine but I was searching for something on the site, found out that it was on David's blog titled
Quote:
Coast Transcript Human ETs and galactic change
When I click on that it says
Quote:
Internet Explorer cannot open the site ...operation aborted
The same thing just happened with the

Woodstock
blog.

Okay, I just got onto the Coast transcript page by clicking on the blog prior or just after, and then going to the bottom of the page and hitting next or previous and it worked.

Not sure if this is an issue for you guys or my problem. If it's mine just ignore this message.

Megan

is there an approval for posts by admins before they are posted here?

I'm not quite sure what you are getting at, but, yes, this post was approved by one of the
site's moderators, i.e., in this particular case, billybobbutterball, esq.

Same thing happened to me four out of five times, but one time I was able to get in. Very strange.

I was able to access the blog through Itunes, it downloaded it after I had hit the RSS button last week. That may work for you KassandraLoves.

Default How to fix "operation aborted" error

Supposedly what you have to do is upgrade to IE8.

Quote:
Why do I receive the following error message when I visit a Web page in Internet Explorer?
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site http://<Web site>.com. Operation aborted.
Answer: Internet Explorer 7 cannot display a particular element on a Web page on that Web site.

How do I fix this problem?
The easiest way for you to fix the problem is to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. This problem no longer occurs in Internet Explorer 8. To upgrade to Internet Explorer 8, visit the following Microsoft Web site:
I haven't tried it yet myself. UPDATE: I downloaded IE8 and everything seems to work fine now. I can access the blog. YAY!

Question Latest Blog 10/10/09

Is anyone else having problems accessing the page for the latest blog 10/10/09
I keep getting a windows IE error. and it aborts. Don't know if it could be an internet browser setting or something that can't display from the page?
