Dreams and Their Interpretations

hi everyone!
last night i had a dream that a man in a dark suit told me that disclosure was going to take place on january 1,2010. probably a wish-dream
have a wonderful new year!

i had a dream about a team digging on the beach or desert for something that was buried in 1990 dealing with the soviet union...i was looking at theses men digging frantically and running into a grate that was vertical in the sand. the men kept digging i look up and a soviet propaganda plaque flash in my face, just filled with iconography classic soviet style. the image disappears i turn to my right, there on a huge mayan/sumerian pyramid/zigurat 200 meters away, on top were some soldiers in the same iconic pictures style there seemed to be smoke. the smoke became a chem trail that formed donuts on a rope along with soviet iconic jets and missiles out of the smoke across the sky right to left above me, i woke up after that.

i checked the news later and saw that putin stated russia needs to develop more offensive weapons....to encounter the defenses in europe....

may i share this "dream of a lifetime" with you? david, i really appreciate your awesome work! (of course, words fail to portray the full impact this dream had on me or the joy in waking from it.)

ok, i had a dream this morning and though i've had countless great dreams and some of them truly "cosmic" in nature; this morning's was beyond. i'll title it:

..........set in massachusetts where i live, i was working on a project that only 46 people had any clue about. i was to make a speach soon to them. before that i was in a room with @ 4 people and i started to make the speach. i started by saying~ 46 people only 46 people know about this. millions of people out there in ( i named a bunch of towns in massachusetts) don't know. the feeling that soon all will know was there. and it quickly accelerated to where i was prone on the floor and, looking at people, my face changed to theirs and to everyone's face quickly like in psychedelic sequences going very fast, and feeling psychological torment but not revealing any of that knowing that i must "keep it to myself."

..........as this was going the room emptied with the quickness and rock and roll, rock and roll, rock and roll was amplified from out of my consciousness and out "there." a young teenager came in dressed in overalls and crawled beside me. i grabbed his hand ,from my prone position, and just held him.

..........i woke up and wrote the dream in my notebook. when finished looked at the clock and noted the time as i always do. 4:59 am january 7, 2010.
this will go down as one of my (his) most amazingt dreams, (lifechanging, i hope) shall we rock this house? (as badge plays on the playlist.~ now~ spirits in the material world. hey, that's us!

boy, this was a weird one... the last dream i can remember from last night constantly had the words 'cain and abel' repeating, and my mind in my dream kept playing with that, and toying with derivations, like 'cane' and 'able'... normally, i would have ignored it, but the vision of two men and somewhat what i remember of the story of cain and abel and the words continuously repeating is haunting me...

anyone got any ideas what it might mean?

it may very well be an awareness of intense relationship dynamic coming to a dramatic crescendo in a waveform of consciousness defining itself in a finer way on this planet. these dynamics can, & tend to calibrate themselves into profoundly cathartic moments of revelation between certain people about the resolve of past wrongs (real & imagined) & the responsibility they have for one another. hence the strong, specific archetypes of cain & abel & the myriad of abstract meaning that are drawing out of those names, which you are aware of superconsciously, struggling for the mastery & ultimate refinement . these are very real forces with very real healing effects & existential consequences. is that helpful?

i've been starting to get snippets of dreams back over the past month or so. i used to never remember my dreams; i attributed that to my up-to-recent pot use, but it could have more to do with the fact that i have more interest/perhaps courage to delve into my unconscious.
i just got the lucid dreams book by la berge and i still need to read it, but trust me, i will. i read another book (not referenced here, so i won't say what it is or who wrote it) and one thing struck me about the book that contradicts the teaching here that one should record his/her dreams. the reason that this book advises against recording is, i suppose, that it sort of "scares" the dream away. of course, i wouldn't be surprised if it's advised here that one should free associate before they record in order to attain the fullest scope of the dream possible, but what if you're not getting the whole picture and your conscious is holding it back? these repressed aspects could manifest later in the day when one is relaxed, would they not? i sppose while recording you could insert updates during the course of the day. funny, i feel like i'm answering my own questions. perhaps reading the recommended works on this site will answer them further.
speaking of recommended works, the copy of lucid dreams that i acquired sort of puzzles me. it must be a more recent, updated edition, if you will. there's a cd with it and for some reason, i expected it to be a bit longer. is anybody aware of this copy and could tell me if i have a sufficient one? either way, i am going to read it.

now, i'd like to tell this dream that i've been thinking over in my mind for a while that i had on christmas morning. i live in cleveland, so it was raining, which is sort of strange, but hey....cleveland weather. one inportant thing to note about christmas for me is that my great aunt (who i loved very much and was probably closer to her than any other of my relatives) died on christmas morning of brain cancer which she had battled for some nine months.

she was not in my dream, however. my dad was in my dream, who had been sort of a tyrannical figure in my upbringing and i wouldn't deny that he'd left some emotional scars on me. the dream started in the current house that we live in (my mom, dad, great-grandmother, sister, and i). for some reason, he was just yelling at me about things that i couldn't make out. it seemed more like screaming in toungues to me. usually, in real life, when he yells at me, i get really hurt and don't say anything, but in the dream, i was sort of being apathetic and at times, provoking him further for self-amusement, i would imagine. and every time i said something, he'd just keep yelling.

the setting changes to the town house we used to live in (the house we currently live in was my great-granmother's and my parents bought it off of her and she lives with us). the aspect that comes into the scene is that my granfather (my dad's father) had died. he's still living, but in the dream, he died. i had talked to my grandfather the night before because we had a chistmas eve get-together at my house. it was a warm conversation about old movies, mainly frank capra and he was pretty surprised at how much i knew about capra. i normally rarely talk to him, so i was very happy to have that time with him because he's a very nice man whom i greatly respect.

my dad used to have chiclids in fishtanks in the living room of the town house and in the dream, there was a red gnome-like ornament in a tank with the roman numeral xxiii on the pedestal of it with the name gerald (the name of my grandfather), whom my granfather's spirit embodied. while i noticed this, my dad was going on about how bummed he was because his father didn't say goodbye to hime and he wished he'd talked to him one last time. then, i was trying to tel him that he was in the tank as the ornament, but he wasn't listening. i finally pointed the pedestal out to him, saying "see? there's his name."
it was then that i woke up in tears on the couch of my friend's place.

i took the ornament being red as symbolic of my grandfather being a sagittarius. the number xxiii i'm not sure of, though. which reminds me that i need to find out his actual birthday...maybe it's nov. 23rd. though, perhaps the ornament being red could symbolize my ambition towards understanding the spirit world. maybe i'm being a little brash about it. i really do and usually when i have an interest in something, i get sort of fanatical about it and just swan dive into it.

at the moment, i'm a little new in interpreting dreams, and i feel that i'm not even getting the full scope of what this dream is trying to tell me, but it's so emotional to me that i really would like to know. i know there's a brutal message that i'm supposed to get that i feel my conscious is holding back. if anyone has anything to add on this, i would me more than willing to read it. i really don't want any sugar-coating and i feel i can handle brutal truth.

i dreamed last night, i was in my bathroom about to shave, but i went through all the blades. then i found out, they were all used up, the lines on them were faded or broken. i was over my sink, i looked into the mirror, i think i started to shave anyway.

the part i don't understand, is the old blades part ,mostly, can anyone clarify? thanks!

does anyone know the difference between the vehicles you operate yourself in a dream and the ones that are operated by someone else?

had this nightmare two nights ago and have to share. in the dream i was in bed and the duvet started to move, like something was pulling it , then items in the room started flying around like a poltergeist or something was in the room, then i noticed these shadowy dark entity like beings, they kinda looked like bats or rods, they started touching me and i became paralyzes in the areas they touched, all this was happening in black and white not color, i tried to wriggle of the bed but they grabbed me by what i thought was the hair then i realized it was the energy tubes coming out of my head, during all the above i was asking for protection and pulling light into myself. i awoke to find i had sleep paralysis and could only think and open my eyes , i looked around the room and told myself i was safe and could go back to sleep as i could do nothing else. this has left a very strong impression on me and would realy like some feed back please,gra agus solas chris.

please take from what i say that which makes sense to you and disregard the rest. ultimately, it is up to you to understand what your dream meant to you, because your dream was there to inform you. perhaps your nightmare may be a way for your unconscious to get your attention about a situation or problem that you have been avoiding, or perhaps stems from a deeper level indicating that something is troubling you from within your subconscious.

to dream in black and white suggests that you need to be more objective in formulating your decisions. you may be a little too unyielding in your thought process and thus need to find some sort of balance between two opposing views. consider the views and opinions of others. alternatively, black and white dreams is a sign of depression or sadness. you may feel that there is not enough excitement in your life.

to see or hear a poltergeist in your dream signifies a lack of control in your life. you may be experiencing some disruptions that are hindering your goals. one the same note, to dream that your room is spinning around you indicates that you are feeling overwhelmed by circumstances beyond your control.

to see bats in your dream, symbolizes uncleanness, demons, and annoyances, or alternatively, bats represent rebirth. perhaps you need to let go of old habits? perhaps your current path is not compatible with your new growth and new goals. it may also mean that you are blindly entering into a situation or deal. perhaps you need to evaluate the facts more carefully.

finally, to see a vampire bat or similar figure in your dream may represent that a person in your life may be draining your of self-confidence and/or your resources.
