all we need is 32 or more responses to this poll to have a statistically-valid representation of the entire 800+ membership on this forum.


the intent of the questions is to measure how many people would download transcripts of videos, relative to the numbers of people who would download transcripts, relative to how many would download both. this is for both the divine cosmos site and the project camelot site.

i am nearly deaf, so it is imperative that i get to have the transcripts to read, though i do plan on downloading the videos as well, just so to have them on hand for others to watch, if neccessary, as well as for me to view at least once to observe.

comments:

the videos are great for a preview of the material and can often be inspiring to all of us, especially to friends and family who aren't as inclined to read on the subject until they can see why it may be important and interesting to them.

for myself, transcripts are a valuable study tool and also useful for finding the bits and pieces that i may want to share with someone for a specific reason.

i always enjoy watching interviews and lectures. the transcripts prove very benificial for times when i cannot access a quick video feed or computer to watch. i can easily print off the transcript as well as share it with others who may not be able to watch the videos as well. i think transcripts are an important part to sharing and spreading the material. thanks!

i hope i copied this right!! sometimes ,since i have to share my computer, then transcripts are definitely the way to go. i do really enjoy the videos as well and would download some of them to watch later when i get the computer to myself. whichever works best at the time and is the quickest way in getting the information. i also have noticed that i seem to occasionally miss things when listening that i don't miss while reading so sometimes i will watch/listen to something and then read the transcript later.

comments:
in all cases having access to both the videos and the transcripts is better for me. some day i can sit and read the text, some days it's better to listen to the videos. would rather have both as choices. will settle for the videos if resources are limited.

keep up the good work. this is the only place i come to on the web where sanity prevails and good, honest information is consistently available.
