    Default Beat the Beacons

    ok freedom-lovers,

since this list is a yahoo one, you must know about
this little-known feature that is a nasty big-brother
one that spies on not only you, but it follows you
around all over the internet, even if you are not
connected with yahoo. if you have clicked onto any
yahoo webpage of any kind, yahoo sticks those nasty
little big brother cookies into your computer and
follows you around and snitching to big brother,
    orwell style.

    first click on this:

    http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/

then go half-way down the page to this blue,
highlighted link that says "web beacons":

    http://privacy.yahoo.com/privacy/us/...s/details.html

then go down the page to the blue, highlighted that
says " click here to opt out"--the "click here" is the
    part highlighted.

click on it and you will have successfully opted out.

be careful of the final button on the opt-out page
that says "cancel opt-out"...don't click that! just
close out that page and be done with it and big
    brother.

big brother can stick their web beacons where the sun
don't shine. pass this info along to those on your
own e-mail lists, please. gotta keep our freedoms
    clicking and alive, ya know.

    become a beacon of freedom.

taking action to preserve your freedoms helps preserve
the law of free will, the first law of distortion; i
say that any violation of one's free will rights is a
gross distortion of the first law of distortion. ;-)
