On Moderation...
hey group,
this issue resurfaces again and again and again, which is fine.
everyone agrees to the guidelines of this group as a prerequisite to
participation. it's like going to a house party and saying that you're going
to follow house rules once you get there.
dr. don elkins was heavily "censored" in terms of what he could and could
not ask questions about. he was told that if he crossed these boundaries
often enough, they risked having the positive ra be completely replaced by a
negative ra that would masquerade as positive - as well as having their own
lives besieged by negative greeting.
a truly great spiritual teacher will tweak the ego just enough to create
catalyst for understanding. what are you defending, really, if ra can't even
see us as separate entities? does the personality self, the conscious mind,
the ego, truly define who you are? if this mind feels hurt about something,
is that really the issue that is at the deepest roots of that pain? almost
never.
"clustering" is a process of finding out why something bothers you.
underneath all of it is the original wound - the sense that the creator has
abandoned the self. the moderation serves as a great tool for people, once
moderated, to have this original wound subconsciously triggered, in a forum
where it can then be discussed and processed and integrated safely.
we do a very mild version here of the standards that ra imposed upon the law
of one contact. if we truly tried to only keep this list on "non-transient"
matters, by their definition, then even now we'd be phaser-firing well over
half of the posts, depending on the time period in question.
the problem is that since so many people wrestle with the same issues, if we
did not try to maintain a standard of posting etiquette, most everything
you'd read here would be "transient". then people who really know enough to
have something profound and uplifting to teach would not want to hang in
there and would quit the list from fatigue. this has already happened before
on several occasions; we have lost some really, really good people.
this is not a crap forum where you just do whatever. this is an online
mystery school where you have the ability to be part of a discussion that is
unlike anything else in the world. that such "initiations" can happen should
be seen as part of why this is a special place, not a curse. furthermore,
you are preserving the karma of myself, the film, and everyone associated by
keeping this positive. if the list were to degrade into mostly transient
discussions and i were still participating and honoring that direction, it
could actually impede the progress of very crucial projects.
by the way, on a positive note it appears that we are now up to 75k in
donations towards the film. we are now considering getting 100% private
funding, if it still keeps coming, simply because we will have far greater
control over how the finished product turns out. so this is good news.
i'm going to be dropping off the radar, to a large degree, beginning on
thursday, and will be relatively obscure until the second week of november.
i will check up on you from time to time but will also be quite preoccupied.
peace be with you -

dw: yack! i'm too used to that word "donations." these are private
investments. i've got to burn that into my brain so as to avoid
misunderstandings...
we are very close to having a full flash page up and running for investors,
to see what this is all about. the incomplete version is already being shown
to interested parties and this will be part of the new site once it is
ready.
peace be with you -

yes, it does. in terms of the stuff about the greys that i was talking
about the other night...i won't go into specifics because it seems that at
times when i say something which is intended innocently, it causes
trouble...but suffice it to say that i got the issue worked out, and the
responses i got here about it helped me to do so.

interesting...i've heard that term "mystery school" used before, but i never
really knew what it means, i will admit.

awesome. i am curious...how will the film be distributed...would we solely
buy dvds from your site, or will you be distributing it via other means as
well? i'm looking forward to it, actually.
