do you have ideas on how we can bring the people together?

yesterday i had an interesting talk with my friend who think
all my loo stuff is just a bunch of nonsense. we were
talking about the great polarization in america that exists
right now exemplified by the election, rich/poor/no middle
class thing, and the fear mongering. i even see it within
the pagan community between the 'goddess' people and the
'magikal' people. the polarization is everywhere including
in us. neither of us can understand how nice, caring,
intelligent, educated, not-rich people can support bush. and
the bush supports can't understand why we don't support
bush.

my friend thinks that we are headed toward a civil war of
some kind because of the intensity of the polarization. i
told him that i didn't think we'd have a civil war, and he
said that maybe that was true but that something was going
to happen.

i personally think that something is going to be related to
the ascension/harvest, but i also know that it would not be
helpful for me to say that to him. i know that he thinks it
is baloney. but i feel his pain, and the pain of many who
are suffering in the polarization occurring everywhere at
this time. i feel helpless to help ease this pain. to me, it
feels like a big hole in my heart.

this morning i was thinking about this polarization and hole
in my heart when the image of the hurricane/tornado type of
storm came to mind. here is wind with two opposing
directions coming together in a destructive swirl dance with
a hole in the middle. i wonder if we all put our focus on
healing/wholing/filling the hole, would that ease the
destructive swirling, the destructive "going around in
circles" that we've all been doing in these polarized "i
can't understand you" times?

maybe the something that will happen will be more earth
changes. maybe that is the only way that we will come
together. but i hope not. i hope that we will find ways to
come together and heal the whole in our collective heart.
