Cool vs Positive Polarity
ok, i've been pondering this for a while now. what is really the
difference between true positive polarity and being "cool" as the
slang would have it. this seems to me like one of those grey areas
that are always found looking at something from a 3rd density
perspective.
first it seems necessary to precisely define what it means to
be cool because this term is often used liberally. i would assume
it means to be socially acceptable, which seems to be positive, at
the same time it also means not to have the naive tendencies that ra
describes are present in extremely polarized entities so in some
ways this trait is not an extreme of polarity. cool would also be
the ability to adapt to changing groups in society and to have some
sort of motility with respect to what people expected of you.
conversely cool also seems to be rooted sometimes in a self centered
attitude twords this perspective, perhaps there is more than 1
general form that this word can take shape in. or perhaps there is
no definition of cool berift of some degree of self-centeredness.
i look forward to any other thoughts on this concept.

hello group,
i think the major difference between these two words and their accepted meanings
is that cool is a labeling term given to an entity by other similar entities.
where as a positive polarity is a definition of character which is determined by
the presence of love and how much it is utilized for others.
this is all i feel i can say on this and still have it apply to the broadest
extent possible. this is do to the extremely subjective nature of the word cool.
still.... others thoughts on this would be most welcome. it is an interesting
thread.
love and light

dear dave and asc2k friends,
here are some thoughts from my limited perspective.
it would seem that as always we should perhaps look to the intention

subject: [asc2k] cool vs positive polarity
ok, i've been pondering this for a while now. what is really the
difference between true positive polarity and being "cool" as the
slang would have it. this seems to me like one of those grey areas
that are always found looking at something from a 3rd density
perspective.
first it seems necessary to precisely define what it means to
be cool because this term is often used liberally. i would assume
it means to be socially acceptable, which seems to be positive, at
the same time it also means not to have the naive tendencies that ra
describes are present in extremely polarized entities so in some
ways this trait is not an extreme of polarity. cool would also be
the ability to adapt to changing groups in society and to have some
sort of motility with respect to what people expected of you.
conversely cool also seems to be rooted sometimes in a self centered
attitude twords this perspective, perhaps there is more than 1
general form that this word can take shape in. or perhaps there is
no definition of cool berift of some degree of self-centeredness.
i look forward to any other thoughts on this concept.
