    david,

in reading that particular article on crop formations, the author certainly
has a demeaning, negative, and misleading tone in the first several
paragraphs. by stating that "most crop circles are only small circles of
    flattened
grain", he is vastly understating the complexity of recent formations (for
example, why not mention the 3-d pictographs, the reply to sagan's 1974 message
    into
space, or the message decoded in the crabwood formation?). he also continues
with the disinformation of the beer-drinking hoaxers such as dave and doug.
he also failed to mention that one of these men has been dead for several years
and the number of crop formations and complexity of them has only increased
    since his passing.

the author spends much time attempting to confuse the average reader with the
complex euclidean geometry which is displayed in the formations, but
continues to use the term "hoax" through his description. he ends the article
    with
his opinion that the hoaxers or "people" are still at large, and uses the term
"old-fashioned mathematical ingenuity" when referring to the amazing new
euclidean theorems presented in the formations. the author has effectively
continued to push the old dagger of disinformation into the back of these
    amazing crop
    formations.

he also refers to the creators of these amazing crop formations as "some
enigmatic nocturnal pest", and that farmers are plagued with damaged crops and
intrusions of unwanted visitors. on the contrary, the affected crops in
authentic crop formations are not damaged and continue to grow and are harvested
    along
with the unaffected plants. in fact, the seeds of the affected crops
germinate 5 times faster and grow 40% larger than the unaffected plants. most
farmers are compensated very good by visitors and researchers and are not
    steaming
angry as portrayed in this article. (there is also strong evidence that the
military/govt. has paid some farmers very well to immediately destroy the new
formations with combines before researchers can study them). the author uses
the term "marred" to describe the impact to the farmer's fields by these
    beautiful formations.

as another comment regarding his extensive use of the "hoax" word in this
article-------a "hoax" is an attempt to create something similar to an existing
and authentic item. the author should have at least demonstrated what were
"athentic" formations so the reader could compare them to these "hoaxes". if
these are "hoaxes" then some must be authentic.

for those of you wishing to read of the true aspects and background of crop
formations, i highly reccomend "secrets in the fields" by freddy silva.
