tobbe,
there is a way to post urls of articles that were sent to you--use the search
engines in the internet.
it took me only 45 seconds total to eventually find the url that you could have
posted to the list. thank you for your awareness
about the problems with long posts, so now take that awareness to the next
level--action.
i first searched google and got this:
<a href="http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&ie=iso-8859-1&q=stargate+edinburgh&btng=google+search">http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&i...gh&btng=googl\
e+search</a>
then i quickly found the article that you sent:
http://www.solan.co.uk/scotlandthehi...nstargate.html
dead texts have died down a bit on this list, but long posts have not and this
can kill this list and is especially problematic for
those on daily digest--i don't do daily digest for this very reason.
i am guilty of sending in a long post of 49k ("2003 and beyond"), but i had to
do so because the text field was tightened so that it
could be easily forwarded, plus there were introduction/concluding commentaries,
so i had no choice but to post the long thing on
this list, otherwise i would have posted a url.
so if any of you receive articles by e-mail and wish to send them to the list
and you don't have a url, please do use the internet
search engines--that's what they are for. a few seconds/minutes of your time
can save the aggravation of many. think of doing this
as an sto-oriented action.
