Facinating find

[Brian V. Cox]

the only thing putting the 120million year old age to the tablet
is a shell from an animal that lived 120million years ago. the
article even says that it might have already been fossilized when
the stone was carved. i could carve something on a stone right
now that has a 100million year old fossil in it, and come to the
same conclusion. i cant believe the article's title says
"120million year old map found - proof of ancient civilization".
give me a break. alot of the stuff on rense is very interesting,
but alot of it is genuinely stupid..

also, the article says it was a fragment of a much larger tablet
that was a 3d model of the entire world, and it was torn apart by
"the glacial period".

the piece they found just happens to be a map of the area it was
found in, but supposedly got there by total chance? i would
think that since the fragment they found is a map of that immediate
area, then it probably didnt get there by chance.

this article is about as hokey as i've seen...

and i did a search and saw the pictures...
doesn't look remotely like a "advanced civilization" map
but then again i am not a topographer.
hey brian! how about meeting sometime...we need to find some more dfw people
there has to be.
it was to cool to be around like minded people in louisville..

hi tarzan friend

i did some math on the slab they pulled out. it was measured at 148 cm x 106 cm
x 16 cm. that is ~ 4 3/4'x 3 1/2'x 1/2" (not very thick to appear 3-dimensional
in my opinion.) also the article stated it weighed ~ a ton. that means each cu.
ft would weigh ~ 240 lbs? (shrugging shoulders). also, if i were vera, i
wouldn't have put my name in there as translator (sorry, just couldn't help a
little friendly sarcasm take care chris

16cm would be a little over 6" thick, not 1/2". maybe you meant 1/2ft?

so that would be 4.75ft * 3.5ft * 0.5ft = 8.3125 ft^3.

2000lb/8.3 ft^3 = 240.6 lb/ft^3

that sounds about right...actually sounds pretty light.

that would only be 0.139 lb/ in^3, or only 2.22 oz/cubic inch

?? if this thing was solid granite maybe, but it's got 3 layers...well, maybe
you're right-dolomite can be pretty heavy, and that is 5" of the thing. the
picture is in the middle layer and that is only 1/2". ok, i agree. chris

why would someone take a perfectly good article like this, butcher it, and then
put it in rense? they even left the same translator's name on the article. so,
who changed it and why? it seems so stupid to turn an interesting article like
that into "broken russian" dialect on rense. i mean, what's the purpose?
