"I am time, never-ending time. I am the creator who sees all. I am Death that carries off all things and I am the source of things to come...I am the One source of all..."

"Saturn comes back around
To show you everything
Lets you choose what you will
And will not see and then
Drags you down like a stone
Or lifts you up again
Spits you out like a child
Light and innocent"
Pink Floyd – Us and Them
“Up and down
And in the end its only round and round and round”
Pink Floyd – Eclipse
“All that is now
All that is gone
All that's to come
And everything under the sun is in tune
But the sun is eclipsed by the moon”
"I am time, never-ending time. I am the creator who sees all. I am Death that carries off all things and I am the source of things to come...I am the One source of all..."
Pain day sky beauty die black joy
love empty day life die pain passion
joy black day hate beauty die life
joy ache empty day pain die love
passion joy black light
And if God is dead what am I,
a fleck of dirt on the wing of a fly
hurtling to earth
through a hole in the sky
And if Warhol's a genius, what am I,
a speck of lint on the penis of an alien
buried in gelatin
beneath the sands of Venus
Time sun hurt trust peace dark rage
sad white rain sun anger hurt soft trust night rage rain white hope dark
sacred sun time trust hurt rage anger
rain white light
And if a bird can speak, who once was a dinosaur,
and a dog can dream; should it be implausible
that a man might supervise
the construction of light
the construction of light
Pain day sky beauty die black joy
love empty time sun hurt trust peace
dark rage sad white rain hate anger
hope sacred passion life night ache soft light
The Construcktion of Light by King Crimson, y'all. Should it be so implausible that a man may supervise the construction of light?
The one that comes to my mind first (and there are way too many for me to mention here) is by a band called 'ELOY'.
The song is called 'Say is it Really True' and it's from their 1982 album 'Time to Turn'.
Just have a read through the lyrics and you will connect with the song.....I guarantee it.
The music is superb as well. Just check out the video on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oheRIh3hAHo
Here's the lyrics
HEY - HEY
say, is it really true,
that the flame of hope has grown?
that the spirit has changed;
that the few no longer stand alone?
say, is it really true,
that the thought of war's lost its meaning?
that self-made devils died;
the idols of wealth and power are sinking?
the coldest nights finally followed by dawn;
an outburst of light,
that cures the blind.
a strong conviction has evolved in time;
that life demands deeds we must define.
say, is it really true,
that once buried virtues now arise?
that the being itself
no longer asks for a disguise?
a power that's been neglected, denied;
now blossoms and grows, calls out the best.
at last the change of an era has come;
but there won't be much time to rest.
say, is this the force I feel within
heart and mind the truth?
or am I deceived again, painfully abused?
say, is it really true,
that the flame of hope has grown?
or am I deceived again, painfully abused?

This poem was posted in the 2012 discussion, and relates to this thread as well... the nature of reality, illusion... (oneness, duality)
