Default Enjoying the 3 brightest objects in the sky-

    hello to all,

im sure many of you have been enjoying the 3 brightest objects in the heavens joining the night sky together?!? in the southwestern skies venus, jupiter and the moon have been dancing beautifully. these planets will continue this dance until dec. 1st, when they will all be at their closest junctions. its not every day you have the 3 brightest objects of the sky together so close and even more so, together in sagittarius (whose arrow points to the center of the dark rift-going on memory on that one, correct me if wrong there).

i like to realize, while watching the movements of the heavens, that i am made up from the same energy as those beautiful shining figurines in the sky. we can say, to a certain degree...we are walking stars! i think, somehow, the consciousness of one enjoys its walking selves enjoying the dances of its spherical selves (cosmos). i feel that when you are approaching the observation of something....its you and them or that or it...realizing each other. the environment around us is very aware, when we are aware of it. we can spark this awareness to other people, animals and our environment (even the skies and its gems). observe it, love it...know you are a part of it and feel it smiling back to you. in my personal opinion, there is more there then meets the eyes, when we see such beautiful things outside of us. let it all meet with the inner eye, the one eye, the center of you...its then words do no justice to describe....more then meets the eye. possibly, you can even feel all the other selves, observing the same beauty as you are.

i for one, will be watching this dance until dec. 1st.

    much love,

Default Three brightests lights (but not really)

    hello all,

i wanted to update this posts for those who are watching the junctions of jupiter and venus this month. some say its the best light show of this yr.

here is what will be in the sky dec. 1st-
    http://www.spaceweather.com/images20...ud04an197816s2

venus has now left ophiuchus and has moved into sagittarius with jupiter (who is the ruler to sagittarius). dec. 1st. they will be at their closest conjunction in the sky, just a few degrees apart, one above the other. the treat though is the new crescent moon showing herself early in the evening sky with the two planets. so you then have, the 3 brightest objects in the sky, just a few degrees apart from eachother, forming a little triangle.

but really, they are not true lights, they all reflect light. the sun is their true source of light in our eyes, the planets and moon is only reflecting the true light. an interesting illusion if you think about it, as signs to ourselves that there is a true light and a reflected light.

and alas, a neat bit of info....all this month while these 2 brightests planets are joining eachother, the sun leaves sagitarius and on nov. 30 (if calculated right) the sun enters the mysterious ophiuchus (13th zodiac sign). how many people would know this??? not many because most follow the tropical zodiac with 12 signs. so you have the 3 brightests 'reflectors' in our sky with in a few degrees of eachother hanging out in sagitarius, which points to the center of the galaxy (correct me if wrong) and the sun rising in ophiuchus, also known as the serpent holder/serpent controller/healer.

    peace to all,
    lynette

its such a great synchronicity that i just happened to learn about the 13th sign ophiciocus (bad spelling i'm sure :-)) and it was just before the sun entered this kundalini constellation , then i saw these shining stars and mistook them for space ships with my over active imagination....giggle*
i then read your post and thought, hmmm, all fits nicely together just like the universe always does.
thanks for sharing your thoughts i very much resonated with your words
love babyblue, also mesmerised by these jewels of the heavens.

    Default sun moves into Ophiuchus-

i posted a mistake about the path of the sun so i wanted to correct myself. the sun has been in scorpio (not sagittarius) for the last 8 to 9 days and today it rises in ophiuchus. the sun will be in ophiuchus till about mid to late december and will finally move into sagittarius by time for christmas. you can imagine ophiuchus, sitting 'right' to sagittarius...the dark rift/center of the galaxy sits in between these two signs....so as the sun moves towards sagittarius, it also crosses this dark rift, the background setting behind the sun is the center of the galaxy.

still though, it doesn't change the fascination of knowing that today our sun rose in ophiuchus to shine its light to sagittarius who holds the 3 brightest objects in the sky on dec. 1.

    peace to all,
    lynette

ohhh yessssss ! very easy to find !

we see them even when the sky is still blue, before the
usual darkness needed to see stars.

my trick to differentiate stars and planets is:
    stars twinkle, planets do not.

blue skies. . .hmmmmmm. . .nice black skies... b-)

i've been staying at a hotel for the past few nights. last night, when i stepped outside to smoke (i know, i know), there stood my neighbor (also smoking). we had seen each other before, but had never met. i smiled and said "hello", and she looked at me, but didn't say anything right away. there was a strange little pause, and then, still looking me right in the eye, she blurted out, "if you look up, over there (pointing behind us), you'll see the new moon, jupiter and venus all together in the sky...and they make a cross with the dark part of the galaxy, i think, which they never do, or hardly ever do, anyway." by now, of course, i'm looking up and around, but can't see any stars for the light fog cover (and the hotel's second floor). she continued, "really, it is quite a sight, you have to go, go to the parking lot, you can see it from there. do go see. it's very beautiful."

i did go see, and she was absolutely right! somehow there wasn't any fog in the parking lot, and i had a glorious view of the sky. it was (and is) an amazing, beautiful sight...but i didn't fully appreciate it until i read the posts in this thread today. thanks for them!

i'm going to share ya'll with my new friend next door, okay? i mean, she must be one of us already, don't you think? :d
