    thanks for the quick reply!
yeah, i did some reading up on vitamin k2 - most of it is related to tooth health. apparently dr. price had a chemist do some tests on the substance, but "he didn't know its chemical structure and so it remained unidentified." however, he did perform studies that attributed to the removal of metals and plaque from the bloodstream.

i bought some i'm really excited to give it a try. i'll make sure to post my feedback after a month or so of taking it.

does anyone have any personal experience they'd like to share about skate liver oil? i would really like to hear feedback from people who have tested it already.

howdy folks... just a theory here but i suspect that the secret agent might be iodine.

fluorine is a halogen element which reacts very similarly to iodine. iodine is found in both the pineal gland as well as the thyroid. so perhaps what is going on is that an iodine-deficient body grabs the closest thing it can find, thus leading to the aforementioned negative consequences.

there are many sea vegetable products available out there. still not cheap, but less expensive than skate liver oil.

oh, and a quick update: i'm still eating meat and it hasn't appeared to stunt my spiritual growth yet!

    hi, tenet...

yeah, true, iodine is often deficient but if so the general tip-off is an enlarged thyroid gland...a goiter. my grandmother had one... she was born in the iodine deficient zone that runs through the middle west/

edgar cayce gave a formulation for iodine some 70 years ago that is still in use..its called atomidine. got a bottle. i can't see how it is the mystery medicine. i think david would have gotten a nudge. ??

a couple of years ago vitamin d was declared the over-looked nutrient. this year a second nutrient has been placed right next to it....vitamin k-2.

we produce it in our colon, but its not absorbed there (same as b-12) gotta intake it from the other end. fermentation is the key...normally i would stick all soy products in the trash as unsuitable for human consumption (except during starvation) but natto is one of the few exceptions because of its vital k-2....which is being given credit as being the japanese secret of longevity.

but i can't bring myself to eat such horrible, slimy stuff!!!!just the thought!! aaaggh!! retch, upchuck!!convulsions, etc.

geeze! am i giving a lecture! if so, my humble apologies!!

best, etc. bbb ..sometimes wrong, sometimes right..usually just confused.

hi, liz...tried hard not to do so, but am prodded to make a gratuitous response to your food-stuff simplification.

your "don't eat junk food." is indeed sound advice....but i find your limiting this descriptive censure to pre-packaged products doesn't do justice to the problem! frankly, there is not much to be found in a regular grocery that escapes being described as 'junk food!' the oft repeated advice to shop around the perimeter of the store is misleading... like encountering produce featuring genetically modified/ pesticide- ridden veggies and fruits (including suspected modifications that we don't know anything about) dairy has long been a disaster area -- the bakery also... as a result, most of my shopping is at a natural grocers that has organic produce. ( years ago i was running a lot of leafy produce in my blender. i finally began to wonder just how health-giving the smoothies were after my hands started shaking like i had parkinson's -- finally became too painful to run a cash register/handle money without using gloves.) (:>(

best, bbb (always searching, never arriving at the truth)

ps even organic grains have serious problems...like containing wga -- short for wheat germ agglutinin ...has been shown to cause a tremendous amount of damage, especially in those with gluten sensitivity; all of which does nasty stuff to the body and what's left of the mind.

    hey bbb,
i was just sticking my nose into things, being the knight in shinning armor!
obviously i myself don't follow this even if i try.
i typed you a big reply, but my son started touching the keyboard and all was lost. i'll keep it short in point form.
i grew up on a farm.
we only fed ourselves, we did not sell anything.
almost everyone in russia has their own farm with their own gardens.
people that have too much food left after the harvest go into town and sell it at an open market.
we have these markets all over town.
i can't speak for the quality now, i have not been there in 10 years.
but when i was there, the food was totally organic.
good old, grown from poop kind of organic!
when we moved here my sister put on weight, a lot of people do when they move to north america. (food quality worse)
there is obviously mass production in europe but people have access to pure organic food.
if people want fish, they go and fish.
those that don't fish can always get some from their friends.
russia is big/ population is small= almost everyone has a farm house.
there are chemical dangerous zones in siberia though.
french and italians, for example, eat a lot of fatty foots but still are very healthy (food quality again)

over all, my view on this is:
no industrial revolution= no progress in technology
always growing your own food= no progress in education

i doubt einstein would come up with something if he was working the fields all day long!
think about it, all the philosophers of ancient greece were in the high class of society.
    and so on....

the only way to stop eating the "junk" is to put a lid on mass production...
but that would equal the equation above, in reverse.

i don't know though, my parents perfectly worked during the week and took care of the farm on weekends.
    it's possible!

the only difference is that in russia my parents were able to maintain and pay for an elite apartment in moscow and a house with 1,200 square yards of property, all on a minimum wage.

over all the systems are so different that i am not even going to go into details on this one.

but you get the general idea! right??

    love and light and love,
    et

    hi, et

    interesting post.

your quip about einstein reminded me of something from long ago...think it was a recording of george bernard shaw's acceptance of the nobel prize. there was a very amusing line when sir george mentioned that it was civilization that had finally freed men from the tedious labor of the fields -- tasks now assigned to their women -- so they were then enabled to lounge around the community bonfire in order to wax philosophically about the futility of life. (:>)

thanks for your reply!...(that also goes for your other contributions!)

wishing the highest and best for all concerned!! bbb

your description of the russian's being largely self-sufficient points out a glaring problem in america -- we have no such fail-safe in case of economic collapse. it is scary.

no matter what people hear or say about us russians, i still think the safest place on earth is lake baikal. it's the deepest crack in earth's crust but we haven't yet gone under. plus if the government is doing a secret project every one knows about it. we just don't let the media get to us.

i like what you said. that is amusing and delightful!

i wrote an essay for an exam on the subject of how the industrial revolution saved the women by providing them with washing machines.

i like that you referred to me as et! those are my initials in french and in the english translation it's ec.

    love and light,
    liz

im sorry if this isnt the right kind of post but i didnt want to start a new thread.

i bought some walnuts! its been years since i had them and i do remember noticing years ago that they looked like little brains but i never noticed the inside of them before which also looks a lot like a brain, it looks as if it has little nerves or blood vessels reaching out from the centre as you would see on a real brain and there also seems to be a little nub in the middle that seems to be roughly where the pineal gland is. i also didnt know that walnuts are supposed to be a superfood, good for depression, iq and insomnia and are rich in omega 3 which is what the brain requires to function properly.

is it just me or does this seem really really obvious and almost like a sign right in front of you screaming at you to notice and question why? i looked around the internet and i cant see a whole lot of research on it although one of the sites i came across searching did mention that it was weird that natural medications for impotence are phallic! really weird eh.

anyhoo back on to the walnuts, does anybody have any information or views on this!?

the walnuts are among the couple of nuts that i eat and i don't really like nuts.
i didn't know this but i was told by my mother, after giving birth my milk would not come in, to eat walnuts. surprisingly i was swelling with milk in days!

my mom knows a bunch of these remedies, being a siberian and all.

it is great you brought it up! all plants that are not poisonous have various health benefits and even some poison has benefits!

this is intuitive and we should be able to identify all these benefits if we would go back to living in the wild!

so... nothing really strange. we just decided to block our selves from our healing brothers and sisters!

i would gladly share all my knowledge of plants that has been passed on from generation to generation if i had the opportunity.

there are so many benefits that are starring right into our faces! for example, eating beet everyday will improve your digestive system tremendously!

we have a salad, by the way, walnuts and beet and garlic. wow what a health mix!

    love you all!

    love and light and love,
    et
