Quick question, one of the points that I know David hit on, was food combination, because certain foods break down differently.

For the last 3 weeks I have been using my Vitamixer to blend up two times a day apples, blueberries, celery, carrots, banana, spinach, ginger, strawberries, broccoli and tomatoes, which ends up being roughly 36-38oz (x2). I also add on occasion bell peppers and cucumbers (90% Organic). During the day, I usually eat nuts and some grains. I don’t eat a lot of meat. If I do, it’s usually chicken. I take a multi-vitamin as well as cellfood which has enzymes, minerals, oxygen, etc. I also take 3,6 and 9’s. I don’t take a green super food.

So my question is because I blend the fruit with the vegetables into a much more easily digestible form, do I need to be as concerned about mixing fruit and vegetables with each other as I would if they were in their whole form given that fruit digests in 30 minutes while vegetables take longer.

Also any thoughts on my diet would be appreciated it as well.

Thank you everyone in advance!
Dear Masked one! Welcome to divinecosmosfood and health...etc.

Concerning your question of food compatibility -- as you are are describing such I don't think it is a big issue because the mix mixes up everything possibly yielding in effect a discreet whole food thing. But let your innards decide...the innards will let you know if they like it...if not, expect gas burbling and such leading to messy bowel protests.

In common with you most of my food goes through a blender; but the menu is quite a bit different.

May I suggest you examine the vital food rating list associated with Dr. Joel Fuhrman...also his food pyramid. You will be surprised in that you are not using the really powerful ones (Kale, Bok Choy, Collards,Chard)

Nutritiondata.com has some helpful tools for checking out food makeup. For instance I have data on my food list for about 30 items.

A bit of gratuitous advice...looks like you can seriously use some protein...May I suggest pea protein powder? Rates higher than meat.
Also I use a couple of raw eggs (from happy hens looked after by Amish)

Now my smoothies with lots of greenery don't taste ..not bad..just lack flavor, Solution..I add some high quality apple cider vinegar along with a squirt of Stevia-glycerite. (I'm drinking my dinner as I type...hmmm...tastes especially good? No wonder!...I added some carob and non-alkalized cocoa powder.

More gratuitous advice...it is very easy to get hooked intellectually with your diet -- even as your health may be skidding downhill...this has happened several times to me when I out-smarted myself. (last time a visiting friend shocked me awake when she looked at me and demanded to know just what the hell had happened to me... Been in the hospital??) Until then I simply didn't see how decrepit I really was. (frowning simile face)

Good eating!...I mean, drinking...??
