They aren't very bad, but I do have some dark spots on my back molars and I really would like to avoid any more cavities! As for the old fillings, it would be interesting to see if one day my fillings start popping out. I want to get them removed anyways because they are the mercury filled amalgam kind, so that would save me some money! We have both been having some "pineal gland awakening" symptoms for some time now, and my husband has really had noticeable sensations, like waves of vibration going from his head down through his body at random times, like when he's at work and such. I'm not sure if the K2 will cause that to be more intense or what, I guess we'll know pretty soon!

Congrats...you are taking the good stuff!

I Think you may be reaching in looking for fantastic, short-term results.

K2 is the mystery health factor shared by primitive tribes across the globe -- which is given credit for enabling healthy, robust health, starting off with the children. But can you imagine a clay pot sitting outside by your door of your dwelling place, which is filled with aromatic, fermenting fish livers?? Raw?

Anyway, the point is that vegans get plenty of K1 in their diets, but it doesn't have the same benefits whatsoever!

I should make a pitch for Krill oil....so...considered it 'pitched'.

As for tooth-help against enamel-destroying bacteria (that can also migrate and cause heart disease) The pseudo sugar, Xylitol, is the ticket! Again, best started early in life. A surprising finding is that children who have used Xylitol early on have been found some years later to be free of that particular bacteria...which name escapes me..

A warning note concerning Xylitol..although safe/beneficial for humans it can be deadly to pets! Dogs, for instance!

    Good luck, good health!

The k2 sounded interesting so I gave it a go, I have only been taking it for 3 days but it feels like it is working already, it kinda feels like the chemical residues (from house hold cleaning 'solutions'?) are being flushed out of my brain especially from the reptilian part, I can actually taste it in my mouth and breath as it leaves...weird but reassuring. I loath cleaning chemicals especially toilet lime descaler, flea killer and carpet shampoo because I can feel them stick to my brain, yuck, organic cleaning maybe a way forward I might look into it. I will be pleased if it does help my teeth because they do give me headaches sometimes.
The krill sounds good but the deadly to dogs xylitol sounds a bit sketchy, I tried a maltalose easter egg once but it was pretty rank, I woner if honey chocolate would work, lol.

    Hi, Gem

Note: Krill oil is not just good but "Fantastic" Besides the usual fish oil goodies it can be the source of astaxanthin ("Over the past several years, astaxanthin has earned a reputation as one of the most potent and powerful nutritional supplements ever made").

I think you miss the points concerning Xylitol. X and also Erythritol -- to a lesser degree -- cause great suffering to bacteria...the bacteria can't hang on to the body cells so the poor micro-bugs slip and slide and starve to death...as mentioned earlier, the common bacteria producing cavities and other tooth destruction can also be found accompanying types of heart disease...!!!

I use a bit of X and E in my smoothies on general principles, but I don't depend on them for sweetening. Keep in mind that too much too soon and you can get gastric reactions...your intestinal tract has to get used to them.

For sweetening I use various forms of Stevia. My favorite is liquid bolstered by food quality glycerin.

Oh! if I get a stuffy nose and sinus I put some X into warm water along with a little salt and snuffle the stuff... You can buy the same at a pharmacy (in the USA)..but its cheaper to do it yourself.

All above is my non-curative opinion. I'm merely an enthusiastic Quack. Always ask your doctor, etc.

    Hey Gem-

I started using organic/stuff-that-won't-kill-you cleaners around my house when I got pregnant in 2010 and I never went back to the bad stuff. It's really not a hard switch at all, and there are some really good products out there.

I got natural laundry powder (there are a few brands, please private message for name) and started using dryer balls instead of fabric softener (also I put white vinegar in the "fabric softener" compartment of my washing machine, its supposed to help with something, I can't remember what now, I think maybe it softens the clothes a bit).

To clean counter tops and mop the floor I use white vinegar. I just put some in a spray bottle. You get used to the smell and don't worry it dissipates fast! It really cleans well.

I found this product [please PM for name] and it has natural enzymes and stuff to get rid of really tough odors (I got it for when I was using cloth diapers) and when I'm washing towels or dish cloths or anything that smells funky I pour a couple tablespoons of that in and it works wonders. You can also use it on carpet spills or pet stains and whatnot.

And last but not least (this is the one people always look at me funny for) we started washing our hair with baking soda/apple cider vinegar aka [name]. I've been doing it for over a year now and no one would know it if I didn't tell them (I usually don't due to the reaction lol). You use about a cup of warm water (in the shower) and add 1 Tbls baking soda, slosh it around till it dissolves, and pour it on your hair, especially your scalp. Scrub it in and rinse. Then do a cup of water with 1 Tbls A.C. Vinegar, pour on your hair and rinse. That's it- and no your hair won't smell like vinegar!

I have hair that gets greasy very easily and this totally works for me. I actually only have to do it every other day or so- with regular shampoo I had to wash my hair every day or I was super greasy-headed. Look it up online if you decide to try it, there is a bit of a "detox" period (about a week, it wasn't bad) that your hair will possibly be a little oily.

We wanted to get away from chemicals like sodium lauryl sulfate and artificial dyes and fragrances. I started buying all natural locally made goats milk soap at a store in town, there are a few brands at health food stores and what have you as well.

Anyways, it sounds like a lot of stuff, but we started with using vinegar for cleaning and went from there, gradually picking up new methods as we went. The other good thing about it is you save money, I'm not sure how much we've saved, but I know it has to be a pretty good amount.

    Hope this helps,

I'm really trying! I really am...

I try to go as vegan as I could, after seeing one of David Wilcock's list of food no-nos. I had to give up refined sugar, peanut butter...but I'd indulge on those once in awhile. Each night, I try to cook my self some stir-fried veggies over rice.

There is one thing that is really hard, which is to give up junk food. Like porn, I'm so addicted to cookies I buy at CVS.

    NEED HELP !!!!
I am vegan, and don't want to mess with my pineal by taking calcium supplements. My doctor says it is necesary to keep my bones healthy but something tells me not to take the pills. I know not everyone is enlightened on the subject but any advice would be grateful.

I've heared magnisium is a viable replacement for calcium. But I could be wrong. Ask BillyBobButterball he might know a few good tips for you.

    Dear td... (touchdown?)

Your question really opens a can of worms! (or, since you are a Vegan, a can of spaghetti?)

The use of Calcium supplementation is an ongoing field of debate. I have read that Calcium Citrate is the best form. BUT don't forget that Magnesium plays a vital role. So, Magnesium and Potassium aspartate should be added. Vitamin D is essential. I take D3 at 8000 iu (no typo) per day. I would strongly suggest that you use the library/sources freely available at Dr. Mercola. com. for guidance.

Following a Vegan path is admirable in many ways...but... I have read where vegetarians have a shorter life span than average. One supplement that you really need is that of vitamine B-12 in the methyl/cobalamin form..(there have been discussion concerning this on thread) The form of B-12 supposedly found in plant foods may be in an analog form that that looks like B-12 but is not.

I would suggest that you utilize the material on Nutritionaldata.com to help you find out what foods are the best for you...

As for myself I'm sorta a raw food green smoothie out of the blender kind of guy...I don't eat bread products and only very limited starchy/sugar vegetables -- plus very little fruit.

I eat vast amounts of raw Kale, Collards, Chard, Parsley...these are superior sources. BUT
I get them from a natural food store...the commercial store stuff is often loaded with pesticides, herbicides. I've learned several times that I don't do well with such...Like developing shaky hands as though I had Parkinson disease...Really!!

Good Grief...I could go on and on..my kitchen looks like chemical factory. I can't even remember why I take half the stuff that I do!

About the spiritual benefits of being a Vegan...I think such should follow rather than initiate spiritual growth...I consider that I'm a soul borrowing a body...not a body with a spirit. Our 2D bodies are products of this world and fit into its food chain, thus are not vegetarian by nature --we are obliged to take care of it... You can't fool Mother Nature over the long run.

I apologize for rambling...Excuse? Haven't had my Wheaties yet... Yeah, sure...smiles etc.

    Default Food Combination

    Newbie here - Just started!

Quick question, one of the points that I know David hit on, was food combination, because certain foods break down differently.

For the last 3 weeks I have been using my Vitamixer to blend up two times a day apples, blueberries, celery, carrots, banana, spinach, ginger, strawberries, broccoli and tomatoes, which ends up being roughly 36-38oz (x2). I also add on occasion bell peppers and cucumbers (90% Organic). During the day, I usually eat nuts and some grains. I don’t eat a lot of meat. If I do, it’s usually chicken. I take a multi-vitamin as well as cellfood which has enzymes, minerals, oxygen, etc. I also take 3,6 and 9’s. I don’t take a green super food.

So my question is because I blend the fruit with the vegetables into a much more easily digestible form, do I need to be as concerned about mixing fruit and vegetables with each other as I would if they were in their whole form given that fruit digests in 30 minutes while vegetables take longer.

Also any thoughts on my diet would be appreciated it as well.

    Thank you everyone in advance!

My nutrition style? I keep it simple, and say, I don't eat animals as Melanie already sang.
