    hello everyone!

here's a thread where people can get together and share experiences whether you are fairly new to the forum and wish to share a story with everyone in a loving atmosphere, or whether you simply wish to welcome and comfort newbies to divine cosmos.

here we are free to explore ourselves as we journey through a spiritual awakening.

hello! just wanted to share this...

one morning, several months ago, i was laying in bed, a little before the alarm clock was due to sound, and i was almost "half" asleep. suddenly, i became instantly alert and awake for no apparent reason, but something told me that my wife just woke up at that moment.

the energy emitted by her awakening, i believe, enhanced my own awareness instantly that morning. i asked her if she just woke up, and she said she did.

just a neat experience to feel so connected...

Default Mt First Post - New Guy

i am new here. i joined the forum because i have watched a lot of david's interviews and videos on youtube.

i have experienced a lot of things in this life, and i have a lot of things about myself which i don't understand and don't really have anyone to talk to about, so i figure that maybe hanging out in a forum such as this will help me to get some things off my chest by talking about such things.

i could make no less than 500 threads about certain things that are all bottled inside me. but for now, i just want to say hello.

i did read the forum for a while before i made this post. i notice that the forum doesn't encourage the experiences of others; and it seems to revolve mainly around what david says. i am just wondering if i am allowed to share things which have happened with me? if not, that's ok, i'll keep searching for a forum -- but there aren't too many serious forum's around.

i also noticed that david seems not to posts here and he seems not to have any interaction with website members. that's kind of a bummer too. does he ever hang out somewhere, like a chat or something?

anyway, that's all i'll say for now.

    cm1star,

i am in no authority position here, but since i've been a member (april 2007), many members have posted about their personal experiences (including myself). so, please do! i've found that "airing my dirty laundry" here has helped; many have provided valuable feedback which helped me form a perspective that allowed for deeper insight and understanding.

additionally, there is always the chance that someone could gain from your experiences, so again, please feel free to share. you'll find that this is a very positive place!

Default experiences are a part of the research-

    hello cm1star! welcome!

i think you will find that experiences are a part of dw research to a point. i have shared many things (dreams, personal experiences, spiritual journeys) on the forum and im thankful the mods allow many others experiences. i think part of the research is the idea that many are having experiences that seem to be connected with the idea of a united consciousness.

i think you will find that experiences are welcome that pertain to experiences that dw researches, such as dreams, phenomenons, spiritual journeys, and feelings of intuitions (to a point).

you might not receive alot of input about the experience, because ultimately, you are the one that must decide on the meanings. but lots of ideas are presented for why we experience such things through out the forum. i remember when i first began posting my dreams and i so much wanted someone to interpret them for me. no one responded for input and now i know why. many here realize the importance of personal significance, to the individual, that their inner voice is the place that holds the understanding. many here grant the individual this gift to keep following their intuition and inner voice, but yet enjoy hearing about others experiences so we all know we all arent alone in these thoughts and feelings. sharing is wonderful, but dont be discouraged if others feel the need to allow you the gift of discernment of your own experiences. i believe everyone here understands the importance of us all feeling the need to share ourselves right now. i for one love hearing others journeys and adventures in this life.

    peace to you,
    lynette

thanks (again) for the comments. i had replied, but unfortunately the response wasn't approved. so -- i have created my own forum to post my experiences.

i'll hang out here, as i have been for many months -- i just hadn't registered until yesterday.i felt no need. but i wont be posting my experiences here. i am in no way trying to sound upset or anything, but i don't want to post and sit here wondering if what i say will be approved or not.

i'll be a good sport and try to involve myself in other posts and respond to other posts as i was politely asked in pm.

    Default new member...tree of life

    hey ya'll,
new member here. this is my first post. i've been wanting to post but didnt know what to write about. i devoured the law of one study guides and have been reading all i can on this site. all this stuff is pretty new to me, but alot oof it resonates with me (i love that phrase)

my question is about the tree of life. i got a tree of life tattoo a few years ago. i didnt know what it was and had never seen it before. i saw it once in a tattoo magazine, was intruiged by it, but could never find that pic again. i did some research about it and found that it was a celtic (pagan?) symbol. mine is a realistic looking tree with the roots showing, a few of the roots curve upward and some of the branches curve downward forming a circle. the tat is on my chest above my heart. i never really understood why i was compelled to permanently ink this onto my body, but am so happy that i did.
what do you guys know about the tree of life?

i was raised catholic, but consider myself spiritual not religious (long before i heard of the law of one). anyway, anyone's input would be much appreciated. it feels good to contribute to this site. thank you

    peace,
    eric priestley

    eric,
i can tell you a bit about the history of this symbol, if that's what you're looking for. the tree of life, in one form or another, is a near-universal symbol among tribal peoples who lived close to nature. many shamans from different traditions describe the universe as having a central axis, such as a tree, or a tall pole, extending from heaven to earth.

in two specific traditions, this world axis takes the form of a literal tree. norse myths identified it as an ash tree named "yggdrasil," and there is a detailed story about yddgrasil in those stories. in the bible there is a tree of life in the garden of paradise (eden) that is not described in very much detail, except the story is that it is forbidden territory for human beings in the "fallen" state. there is an ancient jewish system of mysticism called "cabala" (many variations exist on the spelling) many people think pre-dates the old testament. in that system the tree of life takes on a great deal more detail, with many colors and symbols, and it describes in detail the different pathways cosmic energy takes as it pours out from pure divine consciousness and trickles down to the earth level. it is an extremely complicated system, and it's a bit detailed for some people's taste.

that is the history of the tree of life in a nutshell. all those traditions have one thing in common, which is that the tree basically represents the flow of energy or light between heaven and earth. i personally find it a beautiful and meaningful symbol - but then i like mythology.

on the other hand, i don't know that such a symbol necessarily has to "mean" anything - it might be something for you to enjoy looking at and savoring its innate beauty. i do that same thing with live trees. (yes, i admit it, i am a literal tree-hugger). personally, i just think it's neat that you felt so drawn to that symbol that you had it drawn on you - and that's coming from somebody who is not especially keen on tatoos.

    thanks for sharing, eric.
