Default Prayers and Affirmations for those in Need

    hello group,

i thought i would take this opportunity to start a thread in which we can request prayers for our friends and family in need of encouragement.

my prayer request is directed to one of our members, bob reidel, who has had painful back problems and is now battling another serious ailment in addition to his back. please spend a few moments of your time today to send healing energy to bob. hopefully he will report back to us good news in a few months. thank you all for your contributions in his behalf. chris

    Wink Power of Prayer

i will pray for this man with the back problem. i understand pain can be so time consuming. i would like good thoughts sent my way for healing of an infection i am fighting in my right leg. i have had several surgeries on this leg and have lost a hip and about 4 inches of bone because of a staph infection that took 2 years to get rid of. i still have a open wound that is healing and almost closed now, but until it does i am at risk for infections and i just spent a week in the hospital fighting one again. i am home now, but the infection is still there and i am still on two different antibotics for it. i keep good thoughts in my spirit and enjoy all the beauty of energy of things around me so i don't get depressed. i have been fighting this for over 3 years now but the most wonderful thing happened this year. i am able to get out of my hospital bed and in my wheel-chair and get up and be part of life again. i feel so blessed and so happy and look forward to what each new day has in store for me. i really like this site as it is so uplifting and filled with such compassion and love for everyone.
thank you for your "good thoughts",
    pamelak

    hello!

so here it is! i forgot the title of the thread. i send my thoughts to both robert and you pamela. my own problem is emotional, with depressive tendencies that i've been working a lot with; i don't get stuck as long anymore and actually feel more balanced therse days than ever before.

Wink We are all part of creation!

i know from my own experiences dealing with my illness and the hardship it has had on my family to render me help when needed how one can get so depressed by feeling their life no longer matters. let me say "that is not true!" what i have learned over the years is that we all exist in this world for a reason. maybe, some of us have not found out what our purpose is yet, but we do have a purpose or reason if you will for our "being" here. my family has had to make adjustments in their life when i became disablied and i had to make a mental adjustment to let them be of help to me. i guess the point i am trying to make is that we all need each other to exist and find our purpose in this world. we are a part of all of creation and creation is a part of us in a very real sense. try not to get depressed but feel all the love coming your way and the beauty of the world outside that is waiting for us to come enjoy everyday. my thoughts and prayers go to all members who are feeling depressed today for any reason. may you find peace in you spirit and feel god's love and mercy in your spirit as well.
    love and peace

saying a prayer and setting a positive intention for your fellow human/animal kind is certainly one of the highest callings. but after you say that prayer for your fellow man, please take a look at your own life, to heal and nurture that which needs healing and nurturing, because after next week we're all going to need it!.

mods, i understand that you don't want me to post details, and i'm cool with that. just allow me to suggest that we all get firmly grounded in the depths of our being, and centered in spirit, and heal whatever in your life needs healing. if we do this we can then be in a position to better help those around us who need help.

remember what the airline stewardesses always say - in the event of a calamity, first put on your oxygen mask, etc, and then you can help your neighbor if (s)he needs it.

    Default Update

thanks for everyone's concern. whether he knows it or not, we all care for bob. janet emailed me 2 days ago and said that it does not look good. bob has 2 friends watching over him. he is on two different kinds of morphine...the cancer has splintered throughout his bones and the pain must be excruciating. i did email him in the hopes that he would be lucid enough to read my email, but he hasn't responded.

if anyone else would like his email, please pm me. janet never did give me the hospital name, but i am going to email her tonight and see if i can get that so we can send cards. love you all, chris

    hello

i really feel for bob. my stepsister has lungcancer and has begun a second treatment since it reappeared just after a few months. i wish them all the love and closeness they can have and the opportunity they are giving us all to open our hearts.

i will think of bob when i'm singing my songs.
