    Default 3:00 In The Morning?

for some months now and more consistantly in the last couple of weeks, i have been waking up every night either a few minutes before or a few minutes after 3:00 am. this morning it was exactly 3:00. i will lay awake for a short while and then it is just a light doze until my normal time to get up.

i was just posting this to see if anyone else is experiencing similar things. i have run across mentions of it occuring in some groups but paid little attention to it previously. is this part of the evolutionary process of change?

same thing happening here i feel plunked down in bed at almost exactly 3:00 am every single night, in dallas area too. i often will not go back to sleep and wonder if it is happening to others too. i often just get up to look outside at the stars.

i can't give you anything in the way of an extensive answer, but 3:00 am is what takes the famous name of the witching hour. i've also heard that it's called the witching hour because it is the 12-hour opposite of the supposed time that jesus died.

    Default waking up

i've noticed, for the last 9 months, that i will gain consciousness a couple of hours before my alarm goes off. same as you i doze until it's time to get up. every once in a while i'll go outside to see if anything's in the sky but no luck. very wierd indeed.

yeah, but it's usually roosters here in ghana :d i find, however, that it seems to be ~5 hours after my initial sleep that i wake up... with the exception of the roosters, it seems more to be a feature of the sleep/dream cycle than the time of day.....

hi berry, yeah same here always around 3ish, everynight. i'm not sure how long for now, maybe 4-6 months. at one stage it became really bad and was considering getting my house or bedroom spiritually cleansed. i did notice though that it became very frequent around the burma cyclone and then another around the time of the china quakes which leaves me thinking its a collective disruption. at one stage i was so sleep deprived i lay in bed and open my eyes to see a cherub sitting on my window cill in the moonlight. wings down around the sides of its feline body glowing in a golden light... haha i have no idea really what it means at all...3am on your side of the globe is different to my 3am or is it?

    Default 3:00 too

i've had this 3:00 experience many times over the past months, but not everynight...

i believe i read where dw recommended keeping a dream journal - i've never taken that approach... but, like ian mentions, maybe this occurs due to a disruption or something along those lines?

from now on, i'll at least note what days this happens and try to do a similar correlation to ian...

thanks for starting this thread. when you look around, its nice to see that many members are experiencing similar things. :d

i too also wake up around around 3:00am almost every night.

i do not know what this means...maybe helping us with dream recognition...

one night at 2:55am, my mind was tingling and my brain was like a reciever of information. too bad it only lasted seconds and i couldnt write down the information fast enough.

**i would love to here all the ideas to why this is occuring**

Default waking up several times a night

lately i've been waking up not every night but most nights at random times, sometimes it's 1 hour after going to sleep, sometimes it's 3 or 4 or 5 in the morning.sometimes it's two or three times a night. i've been trying to remember my dreams more lately, and i think this is why this is happening.

sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. it would be nice if i could conveniently remember my dreams right before my normal time to get up.

i am finding it hard to be motivated some nights to write my dreams down when i am jarred awake at 3:00 am.

this was happening to me about a year ago when i was living in austin, texas. it happened every night for about 3 months. i found that what was happening was my body was running energy from my feet to my crown while i was sleeping. if you start waking up and your feet are on fire and you are full of energy like you could just get up and run around then it might be the same thing happening to you. supposedly the whole dna / lightbody activation is part of this as process as well. not saying that's what is happening to you, but that was my experience with waking up at the exact same time everynight for many nights on end. look inside to find out what is really going on. you'll figure it out sooner than later.
