i'll have to check this out.
but cell phones are whack when i'm in my "perceptive mode" and need to make a phone call on my cell, i can feel this tingling-itching pressure on that side of my head where i'm listening.
definitely some antiquated technology, when it comes down to it. hmmm...imagine a "phone" that could transmit information non-locally using biological sensors that could "talk to one another" when focused along a resonant frequency (basically, the phone number), regardless of distance.
you could use a matrix of lasers to encode the desired information within the dna. you'd just have to find a highly mutable cell...stem cells anyone?
