jimi was really something. i believe he was drafted during viet nam and got out by telling the man he was gay. to think we might never have heard his music. the sixties, what a wild ride it was but it will be passae to what is coming! keep your seat belts fastened because the brakes have been turned off,,,

here's some straight up blues by jimi, which shows to me the pinnacle of craftsmanship of the venerable old genre of african/american soul expression even at the point at which it was morphing into the modern rock guitar idiom with which we have all become so familiar. a moment of history frozen in time, recorded forty years ago and just released into the public domain last week. the immortal 'red house' done sans distortion and in the old blues style, yet showing the master's propensity to demonstrate a leap in evolution as he 'revolutionizes' rock music:

not horowitz or his ilk - yet just as remarkable and culturally valuable and unique as his pioneering originality as an iconic artist is without parallel in the annals of that which defines our burgeoning western culture in this current age of beholding other memes and forms of expression, beyond european classical sensibilities. this movement captured the imagination of the world, and hendrix did more to give direction earlier and more forcefully than the rest combined, imo... well, there was the beatles, but as to virtuosity, heres the guy. listen to the man make the guitar talk and cry. singularly, the master of rock musical evolution.

    hi mark!

i agree but the bass is so often out of tune or playing some awkward note that it ruins my listeningexperience

"what would you do if i sang out of tune, would you stand up and walk out of me" no of course not

as lighteye has tried to present despite cancelled users on youtube, i'll again link to something which may remind you of the power and potential of the human heart, harmonizing and balancing with the intellect. from a master teacher.

love has a way of transcending yet informing logic and difference. mark
