elias has visited his sister 4 times.

the first time, back in august, was when she had a feeling of great upliftment and joy while driving.

the second time, probably in september, she heard a voice say softly in her ear, while she was lying quietly "i love you" "i love you."

the third time was at her birthday party one week ago. she felt him almost as if they were one, and his thoughts and feelings she was able to see through his eyes. while her boyfriend played beautiful music on the piano, she came over to me and said, "i feel like i need to thank you for giving me life, and i feel like elias is urging me to say it. i kept hesitating and he said, "tell her now, while you are feeling it." my daughter has never expressed such a thing, but elias did several times thank me for bringing him into the world and for being his mother, to which i would reply that being his mother was a great honor.
then, the friend at whose house we were, a friend who my son introduced me to - my daughter said i see you as elias saw you, through his eyes, and he felt great value in your friendship, he likes your energy and your way of being with people, he loves you and he loved being in your house.

today, while she was driving and slowing down for a read light, she looked into the rear view mirror and saw his eyes looking back at her. happy, loving and sweet. it lasted for as long as she could look in the mirror. later, she tried and tried to reproduce it but could not.

berry, im sorry i missed this post, theres so many threads to keep up with.
i want you to know i completely understand how you feel - since i can remember, we have always had cats. and we always found that when it began to come time, this happened to us a few times - they would get out of the house.
even though we always have indoor cats, and they never tried to escape before, suddenly they do. i dont know who wrote it in animal law that its easier for us hoomans to experience their loss by them abandoning us at the last minute. it hurts worse, because there is no closure.

i am glad that py came back this time around. i know that most believe it inhumane to not euthanize a sick animal when its time to go, but i just cant. even growing up i knew about the power of intent (and its only now that im actually realizing it is real after having it brainwashed out of me it couldnt lol) - and i never gave up hope to the very last minute that they could become better. miracles can happen, and also to me its immoral to take away the animals choice of when to go. its so hard. because either you believe you take them in, or you believe the opposite and not take them in - both versions you still feel selfish.

i was there with my baby charlie when he passed, but i cherish that i had him to the last moment.
i sent positive energy to you all, most especially py, that he has some more time to stay (that is if he wants it :) )

i hope your cat will not suffer too mucjh before he passes on to the other side. i can really understand your feelings. my dog is 13 years now and i give him medicine everyday for his thyroid gland and arthritis. he is still ok but i think almost everyday about the day i perhaps will have to "help" him pass over, unless he just dies suddenly.

the love for our pets just grow with their age and diseases, one gets closer and closer...and. so...well that's how it s arranged.

myself and dave are so very sorry for you that your beloved cat passed away after such a brave fight.

losing a beloved pet is so very traumatic for those of us left behind who have loved and nurtured them for so long.

back in 2004 we took our beloved german sheppard to the vets as he didnt seem quite right. he ws diagnosed as having a chest infection and was put on tablets. 4 days later we took him back for a check up and he was given the all clear. he died that very night and to this day i miss him. his name was rubin.

now we went away that same day (to get away from the house) and broke down! we were both in a dreadful state and could not help but shed a few tears in front of the breakdown guy. he asked us 3 questions which was a bit of a surprise because he was this huge great bloke. he asked..

1. did you love and give him the best life you could have. yes i answered.
2. did you get a much joy out of him as he gave you. yes i answered.
3. did you ever hurt him. no i answered.

well he said then you can let him go with love and have no regrets.

i know it is hard and you will both be hurting but the above questions gave me a smile in my heart at the time, i hope they will do the same for you too.

hi all -

i have another request, for someone very dear to me. we actually have the same name so dont get confused if i say her name, i mean her not me lol

my friend cheryl and her husband bob - ive known them for about five years now. since i have known them, i have never seen them once get a lucky break on anything. in fact quite the opposite, enough that i both logically and intuitively i feel they are being negatively attacked.

they fight to remain positive and unfortunately remaining positive is merely meaning not fully giving up. they are always there to help others when in need, giving what they can of their time and energy and support, and they are hard-workers. just knowing her schedule makes me tired. lol

cheryl is aspiring to work in the film industry, and while she held her job as an it she went to school nigh on full time after.

bob has diabetes, and its severe enough that it affects his ability to keep a job. on bad days he cannot move, so he has to call out. but when he is feeling well hes always upbeat and does his job and strives to not just do whats required but help improve upon it.
over a year ago i introduced him to my grandparents, who own their own business in racing, something bob has always loved - so it seemed a perfect match. because its a family business, bob doesnt have to constantly worry if he will lose the job. but soon after he started, over the past year he has just had a been hit left and right with medical issues keeping him from work - so far as even surgery was needed at one point.

especially since my grandfathers passing earlier this year, and the economy the way it is, things at the shop have been very slow and so there just isnt any work for him to do. hes temporary disability payments is over from this last injury.

so you can kind of gather here that the main 'breadwinner' was cheryl - but in january she was laid off. in the interim they have been surviving on unemployment and whatever school grants she could apply for - aggressively attacking what needed to be done to get her degree. but now these are about to run out, and they have just not found anything in their search.

its getting to the point now that they have to sacrifice some utilities, and they dont even have food beyond a few slices of bologna, which isnt good for a diabetic at all.

another thing is that she worked hard to pay off her car, but no less than a month after paying it off, the transmission went. the warranty requires 15 receipts of oil changes in order to replace the tranny, but unfortunately they dont have those because they do their own oil changes and tune ups.

bobs car, is not passing the smog, and they obviously do not have the funds to find out why.

so they very much need positive energy sent their way, not just waves, but tsunamis. they need a sign that things will start to look up for once. so if we could put out the prayer that they find help with the cars - where they live this is much needed transportation - that business picks up where bob can actually go work, or that he finds a second job that will work with his physical limitations.

cheryl is sending in her application for the dga (directors guild of america) and they only select a few people. if youre selected, they help find you work - please pray that she is one of the selected, and that until that starts up if she is (spring of next year), that they continue to receive aid and do not lose their apartment. and that they can eat real food.

it hurts my soul to see this happening to them, and so im asking for them. thanks

i have lifted them (bob and cheryl) up in prayer. in the meantime, ask them (whoever said they need 15 receipts) .... show me where in the warranty it says that.
common sense tells you...no transmission requires the oil to be changed 15 times.
engine oil, yes...that would apply. ask them to dig out the repair order when they took the vehicle into the shop...make sure the mileage was indicated on it...if not, get a new one that has it on. they will quickly learn...no one will write on the repair order such nonsense about 15 oil changes for a transmission to have the repairs covered by warranty.

i believe this is a stall tactic. if the vehicle is in warranty; it's in warranty. if the servicing dealer will not honor the warranty; (make sure they talk to the service manager) - if results of contact not satisfactory, then ask them to call the manufacturer. the information is in the owner's manual.

let me tell you i get soo (sounds like hissed) off when the caring compassionate folk end up in these awful situations.

about your friends with the transmission problem -

i forgot to add, any owner of a motor vehicle may certify that they performed the recommended manufacturer's maintenance, per suggested guidelines in the owner's manual.

all that is necessary is a "certification log" - or notebook, piece of paper, etc. with the statement:

this is to certify that the manufacturers _list name and______list make and model; required maintenance as specified for vin _________________(vehicle identification number) was performed by:_______________owner's name, at the following intervals:

list date and mileage____________specify work done___________________

tell them not to give up. if the shop want's to get hard nose about it, mail the paperwork to the manufacturer's corporate office with a cover letter explaining what took place.
they can also send copies to nhts (gov't national highway traffic safety that keeps records of recalls)

keep copies and follow-up if you don't get a reply within 10 - 15 days. also, go to the manufacturer's website and who knows...there might be others with a premature failure of the same model transmission...or google the "make, model, year and transmission".

tell them...:) it's not about them;;) and above all, keep a positive attitude and pray that our loving creator removes the obstinate and ignorance mind of the people their dealing with.

thank you - ive noticed a change in her personality. shes been dealing with depression but has come out of it a bit more. sorry i havent been on sooner things have been hectic around here.

a slight tangent to those who know about my family and i trying to move - we did get the firsthome assistance program, we found out just a few days ago. however i believe miracles can happen so heres the thing. we have to show proof of a 2% downpayment and that its gifted funds (outside of our own earnings) it cannot be borrowed or have to be repaid... for the homes out here thats about 6k - and right now everything happened so fast, we have 0 saved. grants are mentioned, etc but im trying to find them and its hard because last year congress put a stop to the down payment assistance charities in which the seller contributed. so.... we need prayers that we can find this money, this grant or whatever, (or some distant relative steps forward lol). we have to show proof we have it by december 15th. okay end tangent.

as for the warranty, i believe its the previous 15 oil changes during the cars life. not one time in a row.

i couldn't help but get a strong-sick feeling in the pit of my stomach when i heard about the earthquake devastating haiti. the under-priviledged, yet again are dealt the heaviest blows. so the transition goes.amid the uncertain excitement/anticipation of what is to come, there is also a sad reluctance in facing what we all will bear--together-- wearing our 3d suits. sending love and light and hope to those ravaged people.
