update,
good news. a neighbor saw py this morning and recognized that he was our cat and brought him back home. so the old fellow is safe and sound at home with nothing more than a lot of burrs in his fur and very hungry.

that's great! i'm glad he's still with you. :) still not too old for a good ol adventure! cat's have a way of surprising us don't they? ;)

it is funny how a few days ago you were supporting cheryl and now you need support about py. i am so so pleased he has returned home to you and ray thanks for the update.
in my opinion, deciding on the "big goodbye" for a beloved pet is one of the hardest decisions anyone can make. you have to keep in mind when the time comes who you are doing it for. as hard as it is, think about what is best for py not yourself and ray. you know full well that there will be many people here on this forum to help and support you when the time comes.
my step-dad was a gamekeeper and i have experienced the loss of animals many times. growing up i always wanted a german sheppard and he would not let me have one. when i left home i rescued my first german sheppard from a very rough council estate - actually he chose me! his name was rubin and he was 6 months when i got him. i loved that dog with all of my heart as he and i had a strong bond. i even used to take him to work with me everyday!
in july 2004, i knew something was not right with him (you just know dont you) and took him to the vets. she said he had a chest infection and gave him a course of anti-biotics for a week and said to bring him back for a check up after the 7 day course of a.b's.
we would have been on holiday then so she said to bring him back just before we went which was only 4 days after the start of the course. anyway we took him back on the thursday and the vet gave him a thorough chek over. happily the vet said it had all cleared up but to continue with the last 3 days of tablets. elated, we came home, packed up our motor home and went to bed, excited to be going to cornwall the next day. in the night, i woke to find rubin was having trouble breathing (3 o clock am) so i got up but for some reason i remained totally calm. i cuddles him and told him i loved him then went back to sleep. the weird thing is that normally if anything was wrong with him i would call the vet straight away but the thought never entered mine or daves head.
in the morning, we woke to find rubin had passed away. (gosh i am welling up here!) we were totally devastated - my world fell apart as i lost the most important friend (yea dave included lol) that i have ever had. i now know that he was meant to go that night and nothing we could have done would have stopped it - even if we did get him to the vet that night. the strange thing was, the last time i had him in the car, sinead o connor (nothing compares to you) was playing. i remember it clearly because i was singing it to rubin!
anyway we had him cremated and after a period of time, the vets called to say his ashes were ready for collection. that set me back again in my grieving. we collected them, took them home and went out for the whole day. when we returned to the car something very strange happened. as i started the car up, the beginning of the sinead o connors song came on. the very first words we heard from the song were - "it been 7 hours and fifteen days, since you took your love away". now the time was 8 o clock and we left the house (or brought him home) at 1 o clock. 7 hours! oh and not to mention it was exactly the fifteenth day since he died. what a message. oh and all the flowers in the back garden in pots also died not long after he did for some reason. (another line of the song).
well i am sorry if this sounds a bit gloomy, the point is our beloved pets are all on their own journey and as i found out, are not too far away from us when they pass.
i pray for you, ray and py but you must remember, they are still around us for a while even when they are no longer here physically. take comfort in that.
naturally i hope py makes a recovery or at least an improvement and continues to bring you both joy and happiness, not to mention unconditional love.
my story ends when we rescued another german sheppard from the rspca, who bonded with dave from the outset. he turned out to be horrible and aggressive towards me and just about anyone else who was not dave. through giving him (max) lots of love and reassurance (he had been abandoned more than once) i managed to bond with him - though it took 4 years :eek:
i never thought i could love another dog as much as i loved rubin but you know what? yep i love him every bit as much - isnt real love funny, you never know how things will turn out!

i believe he is in no pain but is ready to leave his physical body soon, so we are going to comfort and care for him as long as possible. he give love and we will shower him with love.

i think that since this thing has occured, there is more expression of love in the home than ever before. not only from ray and i toward pywackett, but also the other cat and two dogs. all are aware of his deteriorating condition and seem to express concern for him.
i have become more aware that all is one. life energy is all, in every instance, a manifestation of the one infinite creator. along with the four leggeds i also have a finned one, a betta fish by the name of rebel iii who is also responsive to love and attention. i realized tonight that love is appreciated and returned by each living entity, whether human, dog, cat, fish, or plant. and i don't doubt for a minute that even the inanimate creation responds to unconditional love as well. gaia, our earth mother does and will continue to react to the emotional vibrations we her inhabitants exibit and send to her through our intentions and actions. and so saying, i send deep and profound love to her as she is now reflecting the negative global traumatic mindset in the quakes and tsunamis in the last 24 hours in samoa and indonesia.
i gather peace and calm and physical relief for those who again have suffered untold loss due to these events and send it on heart empowered pulses of love right now.

really the pain and shock of having this happen to my son, who was more than a son to me, keeps me from writing very often. he was my soul companion and my love for him transcends time. i spoke to one of his california friends with whom he worked on a treehouse building project in topanga canyon, and who is sending me video of it, and he said that elijah "glowed." he was so happy, cheerful, full of life, and treated everyone impeccably, such that a huge number of people noticed. his death has had a big impact on all of them. but it is true that the lesson is love and we are all going to love one another more, and value one another more.
he was very fond of the book the four agreements and i told him that on august 16th the author and david were doing a one-day event together, and he said he hoped he could go...
tonight i listened to david's latest radio interview, and much to my surprise he mentioned michael newton's books about being hypnotized to a superconscious state between lives. i bought this book recently in my effort to find spiritual comfort and i was really surprised and pleased that david mentioned it. i plan to find a hypnotherapist and try to enter the spirit world and find my son...i have a few questions to ask him!
david also said that everyone is alive right now - but i immediately wondered how that can be since people are dying every day...and then he went on to say that if a person dies right now, they probably are not coming back. with the woman who gave me the psychic transmission, i asked him if he would reincarnate again and he said "no" and then "not unless they convince me." he seemed to have no pressing need to reincarnate again soon, although he has two sisters who would love to be his next mother!
david also said that some people in the world may be very loving and spiritual, and yet choose to die a difficult death because it increases their strength. again, the woman who channeled him said exactly that...that the struggle had made him stronger.
still, i am not sure he really planned this exit...he was so engaged with helping humanity. he left about 12 or 15 songs, and every single one is about realizing love. or maybe he did his work. one day about 3 years ago i called him up and said, "whatcha doin?" and without a moment's hesitation he answered "i am working to unfold the divine plan of the universe, mother!"
one thing about newton's books that confuses me is that he does not seem to think that there is much evil other than what is in people's own minds. he does not think there are discarnate entities who are bent upon oppression...so this seems to be at odds with what i have thought and what david has said, and perhaps loo.
thankyou onething for being so loving and not judging towards those who took your sons life. you are a true light and "rolemodel" for us all.

hi everyone -
through the midst of everything else we have been going through that i posted earlier, and the positivity that we have received made a tremendous amount - well im writing to ask for more, to ask for my mother.
whereas im the intellectual cool headed person and stress does not effect me often nor does emotion unless its in the extremes... my mother is the polar opposite. every little thing worries her, and shes not a problem solver in any form or manner, which just adds to her stress.
lately she has been worried because of where we live (we received a letter from the landlord the other day that was to every tenant, and it confirmed everything i had been suspicious of. from fighting to rioting, sorry to be crude but general 'whoring' around, smashing beer bottles at others cars, urinating on others mobile homes, and now we know for certain there is massive drug dealing going on here), she also is stressed over us trying to move. as i mentioned we have to wait just a tiny bit longer to get her credit where it needs to be, and thats not an easy task - however i have told her dont stress about it you just do what i tell you to do, let me handle the rest, but i still think because of the above shes stressing anyways.
well heres the big issue, that those two compound(rw?). she has always had severe health problems in her life, she has always had severe asthma (is on 3 different inhalers), has seizures from time to time, has heartburn alot... i forget the word for it, but in the past, she has twice had to have a surgery in her abdomen region because her intestines were pushing through a hole inside. shes had to have new tissue put over her kidney about ten years ago (and perhaps this has now failed)... but now it seems there are new problems. for the past several years, her legs have always had a tendency to swell up, however these past few months they got so bad water was sweating from her skin, her legs were so ballooned up they were very red in parts.
shes been going to the hospital for several months now for test after test - they keep trying to test her kidneys, and they are concerned for her heart as the legs swelling seems to suggest poor circulation.
lately she has been experiencing shortness of breath even while just sitting in the chair, and she didnt tell my sister or i, but apparently her she has also had the pain shooting from her chest, down her arm, and her jaw. these are classic signs of a heart attack or stroke.
today she went for another check up at our local kaiser permanente, to see about extending her temporary disability, and she confessed to her doctor about this. well her doctor sent her to the nearest large hospital here (henry mayo) to run tests, and so they are doing this and then will be transporting her to the large kaiser we have nearest us which is about an hours drive away, to admit her.
she told me that the tests they have done so far are coming back fine except for the echiocariogram and even though that has problems, they seem to feel the rest of the tests are proving her heart is okay. but they dont want to take any chances.
and neither do i, i dont want to wait to hear anything more before asking for positive healing energy to be sent her way. i know that to know the name of the person you try to send healing energy to makes it stronger, her name is judy young.
i have been telling her the things i have learned about the power of intent, to some degree she believes, but she believes it is jesus/god that is responsible for the healing, so although that belief can help her, she still has that separation going on between her and oneness, and therefore doesnt believe that she personally has the power to make herself be well and heal.
also, at this current stage in our lives, if something were to happen to her, my sister and i would be out on the street with nowhere to go, and thats not why i am upset now about all of this, but i have to recognize it is a genuine fear sitting in the background.
so i am asking for healing energy and positivity to be sent her way, so that not only does she heal but she feels peace and not stress.
