Plate Tectonics and the Giza Pyramids
© Robert G. Bauval 2007
Abstract
Could continental drift and plate tectonics have changed the geology of the Giza Plateau where stand the famous three giant pyramids of the 4th Dynasty?
And how would such a geological change have altered the astronomical alignment of the pyramids and the inclination of the ‘star-shafts’ in the Great Pyramid?
Could these changes also have affected the spatial layout of the three pyramids?
Robert G. Bauval investigates this intriguing topic.
Casting Doubt
Much has been written about the astounding astronomical alignment of the Giza pyramids and, in particular, that of the Great Pyramid (GP) of Khufu. With only rudimentary instruments and tools the ancient astronomers, surveyors and builders of Egypt managed an incredible accuracy of 3.4 arc minutes to true north. In contrast, and more than 4000 years later, the astronomers of the Académie Royale managed on 6 arc minutes accuracy for the alignment of the Paris Observation in 1667, nearly twice the misalignment of the Great Pyramid.
It has even been suggested that the Great Pyramid may have been even more precisely aligned if continental drift and other geological factors are taken into account [1]. Not surprisingly, many have marvelled at the engineering and astronomical abilities of the ancient pyramid builders of Egypt.
As mentioned previously, by "leading through example" we are spreading the message that "love-based" living dominates "fear-based". We know this is the key to move forward.
I wholeheartedly believe it important to get the message to everyone possible - there are many WAYS. Unless some tells me to stop, I'll keep sending links like the one below. If it is passed on just once to someone "asleep", then the purpose has been "fulfilled".
Ran across this video on YouTube. Although I may not agree with the exact wording of some, or the "negative tone", overall this is a valuable video. Some people trust scientists, some don't. But, in matters like these, naysayers may listen. 5000+ have watched it so far - imagine if that number were a few orders of magnitude higher. "Demand" for change would rapidly increase, and assuming the "light of love" shines through, and people awaken, could be a catalyst for continued growth. Isn't it great to be living in these times? :D
Here it is

I came from a scientific background and its great to see scientists merge with spirtiualty. So, while I wish some things were different about it, its still a "moving" video.

The Giza Codex: Time of the Gods
By Scott Creighton
Illiantia, the blue sun, appeared in the First Time on the eastern horizon as the smallest flicker of light, exactly as the Guardians had foretold, during the power of the God King Kemenketaph, which is now some twenty generations past. And as Illiantia grew ever larger over the passing ages, becoming even as the true Sun, he suddenly discarded his benign mask, causing many animals and plants to fall before his unseen power, never to rise again.
The Guardians knew that the time of the Judgement was near at hand, that Illiantia would soon strike at the Earth's heart and lay her waste. And so they instructed the priests to count the years from the time when Illiantia had first made his presence known in the eastern sky - 666 years they would count until the Judgement would once again be upon us. For, in truth, the wrath of the blue sun had been witnessed long ago in the Days of the Dawn, its deadly cycle written by the Creators of Arcadiatzl into the Great Pillars of Xhalir, the sacred knowledge of which had been entrusted to the Guardians for all time.
No one, however, could have imagined the fury that befell the Earth in those days. The ground had trembled many times before - but never like this. The city walls that had stood since before the time of the Flying Serpent, had fallen as though built of sand. Winds, the likes of which had never before been witnessed, blew away everything in their path, including the great Pillars of Xhalir - gone forever. And then the burning rocks began to rain from the heavens - their numbers greater even than the stars of creation. And the noise - a terrible thunder that tore the rocks assunder, multiplying their number a thousand times. There was no escaping this frightful fire and fury. The people tried but there was no place safe to shelter.
And still, as much as this terrible affliction had brought the people to their knees, beseeching the Gods of the Creation to spare them, the worst was yet to come. Illiantia would show no mercy to the sons of man. Without warning, the very stars of the stately heavens began to depart from their posts, slowly at first but then faster. They moved out of their places, turning and twisting, seeking new destinies and some falling forever into the depths of the ocean. And all at once, they steadied themselves and moved no more. For a brief moment, everything was quiet and still. But just as the surviving few believed his fury was spent, the waters came - the raging waters that had tumbled the whole Earth, crashed over the mountains and washed the last remnant of Arcadiatzl beneath the waves forever.
Three months of fire and fury and the entire Earth was laid waste. Countless more species of animals and plants had yielded to the mighty wrath and were no more. The few people that clung to life had little to live for. They had not prepared themselves for such anger from Illiantia and would suffer greatly for their penance.
In time the survivors would slowly begin to rebuild their world. However, that mankind had come so close to being removed from the face of the Earth was of great concern to the few Guardians that had survived the great inundation, saved from the Judgement in a great Ark they knew to build before the waters came. And so, they made haste to lay down their knowledge of Illiantia's wrath that future generations might benefit from it and prepare themselves for his certain return.
But with the Pillars of Xhalir having long been turned to dust, a new Codex of the Sacred Knowledge was prepared by the Guardians. In time - many generations after the Codex had been laid down - the sons of the Guardians would ensure the construction of this great codex, building new pillars that would hold within their very dimensions, the sacred knowledge of their forefathers. That the sons of sons should read the pillars and understand, then never again would mankind come so near to his end.

A SIMPLE GIZA LAYOUT PLAN
Many attempts to explain the locations of the 3 pyramids with respect to each other in a mathematical way have been exceedingly complicated with square roots, pi, phi, arcs and circles and without much obvious logic. This new proposal is remarkably simple.
The clue for it comes from the 45 degree line of symmetry that joins the two outer pyramid mid-points, E1 and W3, and this line is exactly 2000 cubits long. (The line can be called a line of symmetry as it joins corresponding points on the two squares, This clearly intentional line passes through the mid east G1, mid south G1, mid north G3 and mid west G3)
This direction was aligned precisely 45 degrees with Iunu (Heliopolis), the religious and astronomical centre of the 4th and 5th Dynasties.
(This might even have been a reason for choosing the spot.)
When thinking about pyramids I think of them as individuals in relation
to the Earth, not as groups of individuals in relation to the Earth. So
in a sort of stretch of mind I question if the layout enhances how the
pyramids work: do the smaller pyramids improve the performance of
the larger, and/or is it possible that an erroneously positioned pyramid
may degrade the performance of a neighboring pyramid.
Of course the question of sleep orientation comes into mind - what
direction to point the head during sleep, and is it okay if someone
elses head is like cheek to cheek, nose to nose, forhead to forehead,
legs tangled etc., in such states?
This leads to the idea of Carla's very precise and exacting positioning
during the Ra channeling sessions. Maybe the whole reason that
humanity seems stuck in a rut as far as accelerating ascension
relates to their negligence toward precise head position during the
sleep states.
Which falls right into one of my pet peeves - the diurnal cycle as if
posing a limit to how much global unity is possible. For example, if
one is emailing a group on the other side of the globe then when the
people on the other side of the world are reading then the writer on
the opposite side of the world is sleeping - or trying to sleep - if anyone
can relate, because some groups can be so energetic in the reply to
a cleverly designed email - that there simply isn't any sleeping for
such writers...unless they stop writing.

Proof that the Layout at Giza is dictated from the Circumpolar Stars
The Construction
Looking to the circumpolar stars we can find Kocab, Mizar and Thuban in this arrangement.
The Kocab-Mizar line was called 'the plumbline of the sky' when vertical and is proposed as the method of aligning the pyramids.
Thuban was the erstwhile 'pole star'.
There's likely an infinite assortment of straight line constructs to say any set of stars. Personally, i'd be more intrigued with phi and pi geometric spiral construct correspondances to star sets, though there seems likewise an infinite assortment of those also.
There seems a significant body of work that relates to the Ursa Major constellation, that of Alice Bailey and her Tibetan's Seven Rays. In this case I would be interested in line constructs that include the seven major stars of that constellation. Here, I wouldn't expect a straight line solution, but more of a intertwined curvilinear construct corresponding to the mutually inclusive nature of those Seven Rays. Maybe its gravity that bends them so.

Researcher Scott Creighton may have discovered a new dimension to the alignment between the pyramids at Giza and the constellation Orion. According to Creighton the so-called queens’ pyramids, two sets
of three small pyramids each, next to the largest and smallest of the main Giza pyramids, are aligned with the three belt stars of Orion at two precise points in time exactly 12,960 years apart. The group to the south of
Menkaure’s pyramid were aligned, he says, with the belt stars in
10,948 B.C. and the other queens’ pyramids to the east of the Great
pyramid will be aligned with those same stars in 2012 A.D. Interestingly
enough the alignment of the two sets of small pyramids, in relation
to each other, is exactly perpendicular.
