i rarely dream. saturday i dreampt that
i was present when the "yellow river map"
horse was found. the pattern resembled
something like a crop circle with bald
areas upon the horses back. this map is
the basis for the i-ching trigrams. i
could not verify the pattern. it was
obvious to me what it was. i was in
a state of awe.
last night i had a dream with 3 components.
first component involved giving away
beautiful blooming begonias only to find
that all the petals fell off after they
were given. i regretted giving them away.
second component involved setting fire to
a bunch of dead wood to clear a path. the
need to do this was urgent and i started
right away.
third component involved confusion involving
eastern counting, a helper whom i was
explaining this to began running with me and
fell behind me. i asked how old he was.
he said 25. i am 37. i thought he was about
2/3 my age.
last week i ran a test. i work in metrology.
the test was radiometric in nature. the
infrared ambient temperature read 66.6, and
held for 10 minutes. this unnerved me. i
recalled the relationship of planck's
constant to 0.666, or 2/3. this constant is
fundamental to determining ir temperature.
now i look at the third component of last
nights dream and recall wesley's repitans.
the denominator 37 has special significance.
other curious connections involve companies.
one is called promega, makers of dna
purification equipment. the other is called
oxford instruments, makers of superconducting
magnets and spectral analysis tools. for some
odd reason, these companies have come to my
attention.
