View Full Version : Book Recommendations

I know this isn't really what the group is for, but I wondered if it
would be possible to create a list of books somewhere that people
have found really helpful to their understanding and development, or
something similar that we could all contribute to - something like
the reviews in amazon but covering the topics and ideas discussed in
this group.
I'm not terribly web literate, so I don't know how we would go about
this or whether such a thing already exists, but I'm sure we have all
read particular books that have made us think 'wow', many of them
hidden gems, and it would be nice to have a platform to share.
What does everyone think? Would other people find it useful, or if
something like this already exists can someone point me in the right
direction? Thank you,
Lorna

Hi people,
I'm intrested in finding some more fun, good books.
So if anybody knows some please mention them.
I know there is a list with recommended books from david in the files
section but it's old and there must be a lot more very intresting
books consonent with the law of one out there.
Anywayz my recommendations all non fictional books:
Autobiography of a yogi - Paramahansa Yogananda
(the life story of a yogi that goes to the west)
Lessons form the light - Kenneth Ring
(a book about near death experiences)
Over de grens van leven en dood - Elleke Van Kraalingen
(This is a dutch book and I don't know if it has been translated in
english but it's a very good book, so for the dutch people inhere :))
The lucid dreamer - Malcolm Godwin
(A fun book about lucid dreams and it's place in diffrent cultures
with beautifull drawings)
I really like books wich touch a person with mystery, fiction or
non-fiction. So if anybody has suggestions...
peace

Hi, Filip
Lynne McTaggart has pulled together
a great book that explores research
intersecting with the Zero Point Field.
Many of these individuals and concepts
also appear in the Ascension 2000
material of David Wilcock.
"The Field: the Quest for the Secret
Force of the Universe"
"A substructure underpins the universe
that is essentially a recording medium
of everything, providing a means for
everything to communicate with
everything else."
You can find it, and some interesting
reviews, on Amazon.com. I see where it
is coupled with Dr. Masaru Emoto's book,
"Hidden Messages From Water" for a great
savings. You can't go wrong with those
two selections...and you will never again
drink a cup of water and take it for granted!
The mind-blowing aspect about the"Zero
Point Field" is that empty space -- what
we consider as a null void, a vacuum, is
anything but. Actually It is by far the
most highly dense part of the makeup of the
Cosmos! However its ultra high frequency
makes it virtualy invisible. It has been
estimated that a mere cupful or so has enough
potential energy to raise the temperature of
all the Earth's oceans to a raging boil!
love and good reading, Bill G

Hi! My name is Don, & 2 really good books come to mind, one of which
you may have read, since you are a member of this email group. The
first, of course & a must read for all who visit this site is "The
Reincarnation of Edgar Cayce?" by Wynn Free & David Wilcock.; truely
an extraordinary book, and one of my favorites of all the metaphysical
books I have ever read. The second book I recommend for all who know.
or suspect they are a "Wanderer" is "A Wanderer's Handbook", or 'An
Owner's Manuel For ET'S And Other Spiritual Outsiders', by Carla
Lisbeth Rueckert and Jim McCarty. This too is one of the most
incredible book books I've read. It has explained so much of my life to
me, and why it has been as it has: for instance, Why the desire to be
of service to my brothers and sisters on this planet has been so
compelling, and why I have never been able to do anything really
successfully until I surrendered my will to do anything for a living
that was not of service (I've had many, many jobs and careers, from
Public Accounting to Sales, with too many other feeble attempts to
mention, at finding work that would 'serve me'. I have worked as a
Nurse' Aide in a hospital for the last 3+ years, and I have to say,
that I feel tremendous Joy virtually every day I work there-- what an
incredible blessing!!
Also the book has helped me understand why I have always felt "I was a
stranger in a very strange land"- I really Am ! The book also has
helped me understand the family dynamics I chose for this life, and
why- (After a lifelong struggle in a Love-hate relationship with my
father, I can now say our hearts are truely open to each other- he is
now 83.) This book helped me understand all major aspects of my life-
it really is a very fine Owners Manuel for this Being.
Both books I savored while reading, you will too, if you are ready for
them.

Hi Filip.
I've only got a few chapters to go in this book I'm currently reading.
It uses LoO terminology and gets part of its basis from it as well.
Actually, there is another book, so I'll list both of them here.
1) Universal Vision (by Scott Mandelker)
2) The High Strangeness of Dimensions, Densities and the Process of
Alien Abduction (by Laura Knight-Jadczyk)
LKJ and her husband have their own website at www.cassiopaea.org.
Check it out. It's bad-a$$. :)

DW: We discussed this as moderators before it ever went through. I knew this
would happen as soon as Filip asked the question and we passed it...
Refer back to my post of a few days ago. Cassiopeia is one of four major
websites that have blatantly ripped off the Law of One without credit, and
added many distortions that are not in keeping with the spirit of the
material.
If you want to test your Law of One scholarship you can go there and see how
many distortions you can point out, but for my reckoning there are so many
that it's just not worth the time expenditure. Know, if reading it, that
there are subtle manipulations laced through it that can start steering you
away from the positive path and into fear and separation consciousness.
Carla at one time pointed out to the Cass channel in a phone call how her
husband's questions practically guaranteed negative greeting must occur,
within the Law of One philosophical system, and the phone was slammed down
on Carla in disgust.
Part of what I will be establishing in the new "Case" section for the
website is the fact that the real Confederation messages have remained
remarkably consistent for over a century. There will be more to read about
this when the site is redone, and we are making a lot of progress. I didn't
realize we were going to overhaul EVERYTHING, but that's how it's turned
out.
Right for now, believe it or not, I'm going through and indexing and
cataloging every document I have *ever* printed for scientific research! I'm
already 3/4s of the way finished and I only started 2 days ago. This is
extremely grueling work and I'm only taking time off to eat and sleep since
the timelines are so urgent. They were all stacked up by my door awaiting
processing and it's nice to get the room cleaned up! I couldn't open the
door more than halfway on account of the stacks that were there before. Now
it's only one 2-foot tall stack and another 10 inches next to my chair here.
By the time all is said and done it will be well over 200 books I have
printed off of the Internet, at least half an inch or more in thickness.
Uncompressed on the bookshelves it'll probably stretch to about nine feet in
length - it's already almost 7 feet now.
This will make it vastly quicker and easier to get Divine Nature, the fourth
Convergence book, written. For whatever reason I used to rely on memorizing
the covers of each book and then memorizing the contents of what was inside.
I had to rely on intuition and photographic memory to know where my data
was, in well over 75 different volumes. Now I have almost 200 volumes and I
will know exactly where everything is and can get to it much, much faster.
That will make things a lot easier.
I have also found some great new things I overlooked, including another key
player I shall interview for the film - Richard Milton - and a major study
showing consciousness as an energy field shared between people.
If you want to see a site that is LOADED with cool stuff, hit Richard
Milton's site: www.alternativescience.com. I want this guy for the film
because he covers such a wide variety of topics including debunking
Darwinian evolution. The Law of One model - i.e. energetically stimulated
DNA evolution in cyclical intervals, as I wrote in the Reincarnation book -
is increasingly being validated.
As for the other recommendation made herein, Mandelker's book is indeed
excellent, as is From Elsewhere, his first.
Peace be with you -

As far as your film goes, I had a dream last night that I watched your
film. It was excellent btw. Odly enough, it had animated characters
in it, and it was on HBO on demand pay per view. Then afterwards I
rode a bike home from where I was watching it, and the sun came up.
But it was about 9 oclock at night, so that was odd.......Maybe I
should get more sleep , lol

[rest snipped]
I read through a lot of the Cassiopeia website a few years ago
when it was new. I read endless, endless 100K chapters of Laura's
story, which was pretty interesting, but there's a point where it
drags on and on and physical fatigue sets in. I don't have time to
read endless 100K chapters that don't go somewhere in a positive and
useful direction. A pretty good test of positivity vs. negativity of
orientation is how you feel after exposure to it. Those of the
negative vibration will drown you in negative information, all the bad
news and conspiracy and disempowerment. You are left sitting there
with the idea that only their source's "guidance" offers the potential
of a way out. Their message is always complex and carries the hook
that you should study it all carefully. The more time you spend
aligned with that vibration the more you're entrained into it.
Good material from the STS side always leaves you feeling uplifted and
empowered. (Ra says this somewhere.) It is not complex. The Law of One
is as simple as it gets.
All the best, Ed

DW: Uh, thank you? :)
>Odly enough, it had animated characters

DW: Interesting. You don't know this but I did indeed plan on animating the
metamorphosis of frog into salamander as per Garaiev's DNA research. There
is also going to be CG animation in the film, particularly of the key
physics principles of what's going on now with our solar system.
Another level of this is that you're probably tapping into the consciousness
field that already exists as a result of the What the Bleep Do We Know film,
in which there are little animated characters representing our various
hormones that dance around in the film.
Their CG is poor, especially with the lack of good lighting and surfacing
(procedural textures on the raw underlying models) but it did create a
beachhead. Now I'm hearing all kinds of murmurs about other metaphysical
films that are brewing... Dolores Cannon, Neale Donald Walsch, apparently a
Cayce documentary for the History channel, et cetera.
>Then afterwards I
rode a bike home from where I was watching it, and the sun came up.
But it was about 9 oclock at night, so that was odd.......Maybe I
should get more sleep , lol
DW: Actually "Sun in the Night" is a great metaphor, as is the journey by
bicycle:
The night represents the dark night of the soul now overtaking humanity.
Once the gas prices go up like this you can't stay in denial much longer.
The sunrise at night means that this film will help pull some people out of
it faster than when everyone else will get there.
The bicycle indicates that you do have to do your own work, and pedal hard,
to get your brain wrapped around this new information.
The bicycle is also symbolic of a more advanced vibrational level in the
soul than you can attain by walking - since it is just you powering the
bicycle, but you can get places much faster with it.
So that's a great dream indeed. I should also say that I sent one of the
MP3s to someone I owed a favor to (they're all about a half hour but
weighing in at only 5-6 megs, have intro music and sound GOOD) and he was
completely blown away by it.
I'm getting yet another system upgrade in order to maximize loudness on
these MP3s to get the highest, best fidelity possible. I will soon be
turning my third bedroom into a full-on recording studio, complete with
Larry Seyer's inexpensive foam-panel solution to acoustic isolation, the
Rode NTK tube mic I bought (very much not cheap but it works TOO well, and
picks up all the echoes in the room if you don't 'treat' the room,) probably
the Firebox audio interface that routes audio through the FireWire port
(Larry says to NEVER use USB for sound recording as it is "terrible",) and
the laptop with Cubase and the Waves plug-ins.
Once this whole signal chain is properly set up (requiring investment that I
do not now have but probably will once the archive actually goes online for
subscription) these will be the highest-fidelity, highest-volume (which is
important, since many people won't listen if they have to turn up the
speakers,) and lowest-sized MP3s possible. I'm already amazed by what
Larry's led me to be able to accomplish - getting hi-fi readings of half an
hour in length distilled down to a comfortable, emailable 5MB download.
We've decided that those who sign up for a full-year subscription when they
start will get "premium" access, which probably equates to a maximum of 5
MP3 downloads a day. We've decided to do the downloads even though we know
there will be rampant file-sharing; we just won't allow someone to come in
and grab them all up in one day. The month-to-month rate will probably only
cover one download a day to discourage this type of theft. And even at 5 a
day it would take a very dedicated effort to try to harvest them all, once
it grows to the size I plan on making it. I've got years worth of audio.
There will also be free downloads on the website updated every 2 weeks, as
part of a Podcast that people can subscribe to. So if nothing else there
will be a way to get new free stuff. The server should be able to handle it
without a problem.
Anyway, I'd better get back to cataloging all these science volumes. I'm
getting very close but I want to be DONE, you see... :)
Peace be with you -

DW: I forgot to mention that every audio plan includes unlimited access to
STREAMING audio. The big problem was in figuring out what we were going to
do with the downloads, which pull a much heavier bandwidth. We don't want
everyone to suffer because a few people try to download the entire catalog.
