astronomical cosmological extraterrestrial

as what has been demarcated (by the prevailing reality paradigms) as the third millennium began on the planet earth, most people no longer asked themselves, "are we alone in this vast universe twinkling with stars and pulsing with energy?"

from the mythos of prevailing science fiction movies; as well as, from the four star trek television series, it seems that what they really wonder about is what other species of beings exist in this galaxy and nearby galaxies and whether their agendas are benign or harmful towards our species and our planetary evolutionary spiral.

webster's collegiate dictionary defines extraterrestrial as, "originating or existing outside the earth or its atmosphere, of or relating to extraterrestrial space; exploration; an extraterrestrial being".

the sciences have expanded and evolved in their quests for answers, for knowledge, for validations of eternal verities, from the discoveries of newton to quantum physics to the latest photos from the hubble space telescope.

spirit is communicating with us through the images and symbols captured by the camera. like ancient cosmic hieroglyphics or stellar seed thoughts, imagery sparks the imagination and stirs the human spirit to find the patterns and matrixes that underlie all manifest creation.

in the image above of milky way galactic center star clusters mosaic towards sagittarius, (spanning around one hundred thirty light-years at the twenty-six thousand light-years distance of the galactic center), near the center right of the mosaic a white number seven can be discerned. down through the ages, the number seven has been considered lucky; as well as, powerfully magically mystical.

the shape also resembles the scandinavian ogham younger futhark rune laguz. laguz was the rune that symbolized flowing, intuitive watery power that connected, nourished, and nurtured. it is interesting to note that the cloudy white shape resembling the rune laguz faced left like the lucky number seven; rather than right, as the rune has been depicted as of late.

true to the aphorism "as above so below", scientists and science teams name galaxies, nebulae and other stellar phenomena after recognizable archetypes, biological lifeforms, vegetables, earthly objects, and animals.

a recent press release about hubble's advance camera unveiling a panoramic new view of the universe relates how jubilant astronomers unveiled four spectacular views of the universe from hubble's new advanced camera for surveys. one of them is dubbed the "tadpole", another "the mice", and another "the cone", with a reference to the "pillars of creation" in "the eagle nebula."

at the subatomic levels we are all made of stardust. what the correlation of name to form suggests is a similar correlation in function. the fact that something in the heavens above, a nebula, resembles a horse, like the horsehead nebula suggests that there may also be a similar universal function comparable in some manner to the archetypal form of the horse or the evolutionary spiral of the horse...

since many years ago, i began to think that life may not be only what it seems to be here on earth. at one point (after great desperation and loneliness i must add), it kind of "hit me", that to consider life to be only what i can perceive as separate biological entities to me, could be just an appearance and not the truth. i can't imagine how it would be to live like a micro organism, to which i myself appear as a planet and the earth appears (if we can say that) as the whole universe. it's just a matter of scale.

moreover, there are forms of life here on earth, that defy the conventional sense that we have for life. there can be "aerial" life forms existing in other frequencies that they are off the scale of our perception, we are simply not able to know anything like that. but, talking about "spirits" and other life forms of parallel dimensions, suggests something like that. there can be whole universes that live and die so fast, that it only takes them a minute, while for them it would seem like eternity. i am not saying that this is how it goes, but talking about possibilities, this could be a possibility.

also, thinking rationally, i observe the universal bodies as they are, which is bodies. but, by using this metaphor, we also imply that they too are alive and burst with life all over. i mean, my body is alive and i animate it, but is it really me, or trillions of other organisms synthesizing it in and out? it is and in fact, my body, is not separate from the earth's body and, extending that thought, from the sun and the whole universe. the only "dead" thing on my body, which is not actually dead, but it falls out as if it was, is my outer membrane, which i call my skin. everything else from that dimension and inward is more alive that i can even imagine.

thus, it would be absurd for me to think that the inside of the earth is "more dead" than the outside. if i agree with myself that the earth is a living organism, a body, resembling all other known bodies, then its interior must be more alive than we even imagined. this thought can be extended more and more, but my point is, that we don't even have a clue about the terrestrial life, yet we are looking for the extra terrestrial. the inter terrestrial life, whatever form it can have, would look as alien to us, as any extra terrestrial life that we can ever meet. also, we humans, seem to be more extra terrestrial than anything else.

what i want to come to, is that i don't know how to define "extra terrestrial" and how to contemplate this notion. star trek and the like are cool, but it is all about three dimensional space beings that resemble us humans in our present form. that is to say, that we can only recognize life, judging by our own standards and not by what the truth might be. we also tend to anthropomorphize everything in order to understand with our conventional minds and ways of thinking and that automatically creates a block, a limit to our reality and sets boundaries, whether we like it or not.

if anyone asks me "do you believe in aliens", i will have to answer "do i have to believe? define aliens! an american citizen goes to india and he is an alien there, do you mean that kind of aliens?" in that sense, we are all aliens, no exceptions. it is more possible (in my universe anyway :)) that all the planets are full with life, each one of them, but it is our mental blockage that will never allow us to contact or even be aware of this. and i don't mean large civilizations with spaceships and weapons, or more primitive than the human civilization on earth, which is too very possible in planets with steady environments, but forms of life beyond our imagination, that don't experience life as a "linear" time line as we do.

so, are we alone? yes and no, it depends. what does alone mean, doesn't it mean "all one". because, how can a human ever be or feel alone, when to exist as a human, that depends on infinite other humans that he/she descended from. and not only that, but infinite other animals, plants, elements, organisms, planets, universes. i think we will soon reconsider many things and make the most interesting discoveries ever.. if only what i say here is true. i somehow know that it is :)
