additional note: one remark in article that did not go along with what reported elsewhere. the author mentions that rasputin was attacked by a religious fanatic the same day that foreign royalty were killed. (a&e biography reports that attack on rasputin was from a former female associate who was "getting even" with ras for passing on syphilis.)
the main part of the article is about the dark forces behind his actual assasination, not this minor assault. nina

rasputin's natal chart might have something interesting in it. i wonder about the significance of pluto in his chart, i.e. what house and sign it was in...

i was considering that rasputin may have been a scorpio rising in a way that his north node (in leo 10th) may complement the nature of his associations with russian aristocracy. in this arrangement, pluto then may have transited into his eighth house (near uranus) which may complement the nature of his sexual reputation...

i often wonder how this character would have turned out if he had parents that nurtured his gifts as opposed to reportedly beating him when he showed that side of himself as a youngster. i read about him in school a couple years ago, kind of a sad story i thought. perhaps it was chosen catalyst, to aid him along the path of service to self... there are no mistakes as it is said.
