there i was....getting reaquainted with the world of art bell and coast to coast am and the work of richard c. hoagland when i read the bees needs by richard and some guy named david wilcock. at first i was like "oh jeez, another ascension wingnut". but my own angels kept pestering and pointing, flapping there wings, bla bla. (you'd think after 20 something years of eating feathers, i'd learn) then i saw this guy was going to be a guest on coast so i gave a listen. about halfway through the interview i thought ok my bad, this guy thinks like i do.

what struck me most, though was how down to earth he was. here was this guy (yes i immediately started reading his website) who was as human as the rest of us and made no bones about it. no doctrin, no dogma, just plain "this is who i am" or to coin a phrase from the millenium tv show "this is who we are"

another thing that struck me and this is why i had the thought "he thinks like i do" was the marriage of science and ascension. just a little bit about me. i'm a reiki "master". i put "master" in quotes because i detest the title master. it comes with too much baggage, ego etc. anyway, i've been on this ride for 20+ years and all the new age babble was always annoying and i was convinced that science and the language of the new age could be harmonized somehow so there wouldn't be what appeared to be a natural rift between the two. i studied sacred geometry and the like and that was getting closer, but still wasn't it. then i "found" rch's work about hyperdimesional physics. another step closer, but still something was lacking. mind you i'm still digesting david's work, but i don't think it's a stretch for me to stand and yell bingo!!!!!!

anyway, i've blathered on quite enough for now. i look forward to reading and writing on this forum.

peace, love and light

reikistar,

i "discovered" david's work over a year ago when i borrowed the book "the reincarnation of edgar cayce?" from a library. i had heard of edgar cayce and had just a little information about him and his work. the reincarnation part wasn't of paramount importance to me; i found it easy to accept. what really got me was the ra material. talk about ringing true/resonating with me! anyway, i finished the book and visited ascension2000.com a couple times and experienced good vibes, but still felt that rational-minded skepticism. i then basically "forgot" about this information for awhile.

then several months later i started using a computer at work while on break. i don't use a computer for my job, but after stopping my addictive smoking behavior, i found the internet a healthier way to spend a few minutes of time. i typed in ascension2000.com and was re-directed to divinecosmos.com. there i read "what about those wars in the middle east?" i was feeling pretty negative/depressed during this time period or maybe just the remembering of those good vibes affected me, but at any rate i found myself in tears. i do believe david is genuinely concerned about all people and i admire his humble approach.

i guess what i'm trying to longwindedly say is that i can relate to your feelings about david's work. don't get me wrong, i'm not a blind follower (and i definitely see that he doesn't want followers, but only to be a servant of the truth). nor do i just believe something because someone i trust says so. it has to "ring true"/resonate (i love that word! :) within me. and like yourself i am still digesting his work.

anyway, thanks for listening.

peace

hi dfresh,
thanks for the reply and welcome. i like that word "resonate" too, lol. i've only been reading this forum for a day, but as for the whole blind follower thing, it doesn't seem like that kind of atmosphere. seems like just a lot of folks of like mind sharing their stories and experiences. it's refreshing. i haven't been part of a discussion group for a while because of all the nastiness and bickering. this feels like, well, home, for lack of a better word.
it's nice to see people i can relate to.

thanks again
