><font color="#800000" face="arial">it never said anything about jesus being a fraud at all... the fraud part is how the roman catholic church basicall re-wrote the entire new testament and that although there are some truths in it, it is basically a fictional non-fiction piece of work. this guy spent 12 years in deep research and makes massive cross reference notes and bibliographical data. it was hard to discount his information, especially with a bible on my lap and a highlighter in my hand! however, i'm offering this with no yes or no, right or wrong. this is just what the book said.</font>

><font color="#800000" face="arial">4. judas is the one that was sentenced to crucifixion due to his attempt to overthrow the roman empire. back then they had a law that allowed one sentenced to such a death to choose a proxy to die in his place. judas took that option and an innocent man died on the cross for him yet the population thought it was he, (this is a long story and full of documentation) hence the "resurrection" when he showed up again.</font>

perhaps, but actually we're using jesus merely as an
example of a person who was highly polarized in the
sto direction. whether the myth is true or not, it
still serves our purpose as an example.
can you give us a taste of the evidence that proves
jesus is a fraud (or whatever the thesis of the book
is)?
