[Note from moderator: As we all know that questions should not be directed to DW, I am sure Bob wants all of us to respond to this :)]

As no one else cares to touch David's latest Blog entry, a re-hash of an oldie, but goodie, Bob here in Toledo has his hand up-

So, David, and friends, as one ponders the similtaneousness of reality, time, and all these other ideas that in the past were just concepts thrown out by really smart people, but now are beginning to slowly, day, by day, creep into our awareness, not as ideas any more, but as Real Aspects of this New World we seem to be coming resident to, does not words like "vintage" become dumpster fodder?

In a dimension where time has no meaning, or place to hang it's hat, are not such words and concepts rendered meaningless? I used to think that people trying to live in the past, or future were really goofy- Could it be that I may have been right, in that there is only Now, period.???

Inquiring minds trying to sort this all out...

Bob

Well, Bob, you did it again. You took the thoughts right outta my head. We're still immersed in a cause and effect world, hence our perception of time as a linear thing. Sometimes it's a lot easier to conceptualize of a place outside of time (inner knowing, intuitiveness, being late for the bus, or what) than it is to put into words. Though I'm sure you can grasp what a person is really thinking or feeling to a great extent with the medium of words as the surface dwelling dinosauric form of communication it is, speech evolved as a means to co-create in the uni-directional world of cause and effect (3D).

It's kind of ironic for me to begin to use writing at this late stage of the football match, the last couple of months on this forum represents my first attempts at putting my thoughts down on paper (ahem) if you don't include grocery lists, post-it notes saying, 'please close the fridge door!', and the odd indignant letter to my local member of parliament. I don't like getting hung up on semantics, and besides you can't see my gesticulating arms. But on this forum semantics is all we got. My woolen sweater is nice, but all I can show you is 33 yards of wool and a pattern. You have to re-knit it, I wonder how much it will look like mine?

Some of the posties on this forum are really artful when it comes to art-iculating their thoughts, some of the poets I have read really lend me their tears and weave some truly great thought/feeling matrices and communicate to me directly, as have many talented writers over the years. I'm new to this forum as of April, but I already see much of your distinct personalities emerging in my consciousness. I wonder how much and in what ways our communications transcend the written word and go direct, as it were?

As we try to bend our minds around concepts stemming from the Law of One, and we attempt to convey our respective, distilled inner understanding of things such as the simultaneousness of time, illusion of distance and separateness, and so on, we may start with a grand sense of a beautiful insight that we want to share, and then re-read our post with disillusionment, knowing words just aren't up to the task to adequately describe our inner illumination. But maybe all of us here huddled under David's umbrella are at the beginning of a long association, and in some far off place and time (perhaps not far off at all;)) we shall sit silently smiling 'round the campfire as we recall our goofy attempts at communication in the iron crucible.

But before I sign off, I'd like to devote this next paragraph to a most heartfelt attempt to communicate directly to all your hearts:

...hope you receive this in the spirit with which it was intended!:D

This post was greatness, kudos to divine cosmos for throwing this out there. For it explained much of what needed to be heard by many and so true. Presence is powerful. Nuff' said.

Yes Bob. There is no time (past or future) only present time, omnipresent time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time#Time_as_.22unreal.22). Time as we think of it here is an illusion (it is NOT constant in the universe but varies based on matter and a vaccum in space!!!) ...but we are used to thinking in terms of a past, present, and future time. It makes sense though to use it this way in our linear world. However, even in this linear world, time is averaged out. That's why we have time zones.

If we didn't have time zones (which contain 15 degrees of longitude each roughly) we would be on way different clocks everywhere. You see, in order for the Sun to go around our Earth (360 degrees) the Earth must rotate 1 degree every 4 minutes. We have 360 degrees of latitude. Hence, each degree of latitude is 4 minutes from the next degree of latitude.

This means that if you are at a latitude of say, 34, and I am at a latitude of say 35, then your actual time is 4 minutes different from my time, even though we might be in the same time zone and the clock might read, say 10AM for both of us when actually you are at time 10:00AM and I am at 10:04AM. See? So time zones AVERAGE out the time so that if we go shopping at WalMart in another city at a different latitude that we can be sure that all WalMart stores close at 9:30PM in that time zone. Otherwise a local WalMart at your latitude might close at 9:30PM and at my latitude the local WalMart might close at 9:34PM and that would be terribly confusing for all of humanity wanting to get the latest bargains LOL! Heck, it's bad enough we have to deal with daylight savings time...but to not average out time would drive us all mad.

This link talks about average time (i.e. time zones or local time) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_zone
