i am currently reading the re-listened to version of the law of one and this paragraph just seems to add a whole new dimension to the entire series...these questions seem very significant to me

"let us for a moment consider thought. what is it, my friends, to take thought? took you then thought today? what thoughts did you think today? what thoughts were part of the original thought today? in how many of your thoughts did the creation lie? was love contained? and was service freely given? you are not part of a material universe. you are part of a thought. you are dancing in a ballroom in which there is no material. you are dancing thoughts. you move your body, your mind, and your spirit in somewhat eccentric patterns for you have not completely grasped the concept that you are part of the original thought."

yup...someone still has plenty of inner work to do :)

peace,
mikey

yeah, i remember reading that excerpt in book 5. it's a very disjointed passage, especially in the context of the normal q&a format. it also demonstrates, i believe, ra's fascination with the word as a container for a multitude of more subtle concepts that they can never get across very well.

something about this reminds me of the concept that
things are created twice, first in mind as thought, and
then second within physical reality, the two inseparable.

hi jeremy!

it's a very disjointed passage, especially in the context of the normal q&a format.

carla told me something that i hadn't realized -- that the first session was consciously channeled.

i remember reading that excerpt in book 5.

some of alchemikey's quote wasn't published, even in book v. this part is the new part:
"you are part of a thought. you are dancing in a ballroom in which there is no material. you are dancing thoughts."

"you are part of a thought. you are dancing in a ballroom in which there is no material. you are dancing thoughts."

this may seem confusing to some without the right perspective, that of staying very present in the now with the sequence of sentances. for example: first as a participant, then as participating, followed by participating by way of thinking.

it may be that there's was a sense of contradiction which may have caused it to be omitted, i.e. how can one be both part of a thought and dancing thoughts at the same time? maybe its not the same time.

or another possibility is it is the same time, where a fractal or hologram metaphor might help one to come to a perspective of resolution - where a truth seems understood.

or else, maybe there's intent of poetry which affords it to be understood or not, in many different ways - as catalyst of some sort.

...this may seem confusing to some without the right perspective...

i think the "right perspective" from a herd mentality point of view, relates to the idea of selling something in a way which catalyzes trade. here the manipulation of value systems that promote favorable responses seems essential. simply put, as capitalists we want to trade in our favor.

for me, some of the best dancing is
done between partners who share a
sense of connection (fortified with a
sense of sexual tension.)
