I don't know if this is permited, I hope it is because it's too beautiful. My father showed me this google video of a french musician name Eric Mongrain, it gave goose bumps:eek: , I felt this music so deep, it was like I have heard it before...I don't know what your taste in music is like but I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!:D

If you found that music spiritual then you must listen to some of Kitaro's and Andreas Vollenweider's stuff. They are both amazing artists and their music is absolutely enchanting and mystical.

Hey Group,

After experiencing Davids' latest Blog entry, "Don't give up; Musical healings for VT," I realized the profound message in this is simply that the "Power of Music" to up-lift, to inspire, to motivate, or if you flip the coin, to instill anger, to en-rage, to pacify- all these things are coming at us all day long everywhere you turn-on the radio, on the TV, in the commercials, from the ceiling as you walk through K-mart, and the "message in the music" has proven in these turbulent times to have a profound effect.

I can recall another Soundbite-Massacre that occured back in 1971, or was it 1972, in May of what ever year that was, on the Campus of Kent State University, where at that time "they" were still utilizing more conventional methods, and the Ohio National Guard was used to gun down four students.
Perhaps the most inspiring song to come out of that was the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young song "Four Dead in O-HI-O. I know that even now, after all these Years, (You wern't Born yet David, but we have suffered through all this before), listening to this song, even in my head, which, which is My prefered storage medium, it stirs my soul, and runs me through the gammet of emotions, including "Rituous Anger." It's Time for some more Songs.

One of our fellow travelers, who was with us on the good ship Zuiderdam, and also on the Egyptian Experience, JanET, as she has become known within this forum community, sent me a gift this morning; a You-Tube link of a song that I'm sure y"all will recognize: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zqfFrCUrEbY , for your enjoyment, and I offer this as a study in the power of music, about an exceptional musical ProphET, John Lennon.

And don't forget that classic rock song, "God Gave Rock & Roll to US" by I forget who...

Attention all wanderers, Good stuff.

Talk about the "Tree of Life", notice the pyramidal shape at the top of their headdresses, along with what I would call some pretty sacred geometry demonstrated.

Hey Bob . That U tube was sent to me my my fellow lead guitarest.
I took me a few years of self healing to realize that my gift of music
is not a gift unless it is given. What honor it is to still be playing Rock and Roll
with a band that I played with over 30 years ago. I am glad that you enjoyed what I sent you. The funny thing is that these musicians are learning that they really are succesfull. Because they can play. They can still raise people up! They are BLESSED that they did not become"GODS of Music" LOL

Hey JanET, And Group-

Yes, Indeedy! Isn't it fun to use our God-Given Gifts, especially when you factor in the "sharing with others" part of it? Oh My, another Ra-ism- SWO! I began playing the bass guitar a-way back in Jr. HS, and by my first year of college, had become imbedded in a huge band like yours- an 8 piece mega-production, called "Taurus." At that time, we had the drummer, #1 trombone, #2 and #1 trumpet players in the Baldwin Wallace College's Jazz-band, plus a marvel on keyboards, with the "flying Leslies and all, who also played sax, a lifetime-committed guitar player, a lead singer who was just as at home doing opera, and me, who couldn't read a lick of music off a sheet, and still can't today, but Oh My God, could we do the "Chicago," "BS&T," "Lighthouse;" anything with Brass in it! And if it didn't, we put it there! The only recording that I ever had of us, which we did in a studio, I transfered to an 8-Track Tape- hey, that was hi-tech back then, but it got ripped-off from my car along with the player while we were doing a gig somewhere in the Cleveland area. Big Bummer- or I could make a copy for you and send it along for you to figure out what to do wit it!

You've really got the J-airplane sound down, and the Southern Rock stuff is as good, or better than the originals, Keep workin' on the "Janis J." It'll come.

Remember me telling you a few days ago about my dream about getting called to show-up at a gig in Baton Rouge, and worrying about how I was ever going to be there and still drive the Train? Wierd, huh?

I would normally say Hey, Rob, too, but I guess it's now like By, Rob- dude, ya really blew it! Rock-on, Baby Doll!

HEY ROCK ON BACK,
TODAY I DID A BENEFIT CONCERT FOR SEEING EYE DOGS WITH A MOTHER/SON DUO (both blind) They are great musicians.
Afterwards we went out to eat .The husband is almost blind too.
They are so positive and nice to be around. Always laughing etc...
It was an experience to be driving around three blind people.
The funny thing ws that when I made a mistake on directions one of them would correct me as they have a GPS!!!
Talkin about the blind leading the blind :)

BOB,
I could guess that you are a musician. We just kinda stay in a state of meditation.
Your dream is funny. Maybe it is your yearning for the music world?
I know that I am the happiest while doing a song.
When I have stopped jammin I dream wierd things about my music life
and the people involved.
We will sometime have to jam.

Don't think that I will be able to do this next trip. Will catch up with yall sometime later though.

Greetings Campers!

Old threads never go away, they just get stored on DW's hard drive somewhere, something like 44 pages now, just under the general discussions heading; so rather than start a new one, thought I'd revive an "oldie" from last year, (page 42 or so) and make this a place where we can all share some good rockin', soul-stirrin' music and such. This might save some storage space, and give us all a place to share some good tunes, for those times when ya just might need one.

Oh, and as a response to the above posting, Jan Did make the trip, and spent a week with the rest of us space cadets traveling around the State of Michigan in a 31ft. Magic Bus last Summer, stopping off at a Big hotel for a few days, but that's another story you'll never hear, 'cus the thread got closed! Yeah, I'm over it...

So let's start this Concert off with hope that it never ends... (Moderators Welcome too)

Thanks, Bob - you got me going on an odyssey of tear jerkin' oldies - first I played one, then along came another one, and on and on into the night. I used up a whole box of tissues (not really, but almost). That's why I tend to stay away from the music, it brings on floods of tears and emotions, I don't know, is that good?

I was taken to a korean neal diamond type concert, didn't understand a word, but music's international . When I read in some spiritual book that music was an actual language, I really really felt the truth of that.

The John Lennon video was proof how music can be a force in the spiritual revolution, the establishment was terrified of him - I didn't realize all that stuff happened, having run away to another country and stopped watching tv and listening to news.

So, I'm out of touch, is there anybody out there to take his place? Or is it just the aging dylans, diamonds etc.? Loved that "talking about my generation," what a giggle.

You're welcome, Larissa- it's always nice to "give water" for a good cause, Eh? As long as we can store it, share it, keep the "good stuff" alive and crankin', it's/he/them and their message are never really dead.

You can be sure TPTB saw John Lennon's power- and now-a-days, just listen to all the mind-numbing, hate-filled crap being pushed on the masses to see where they've taken it. But that's all a part of the big game going down right now, and we can always change the channel.

But, and here's a little secret: yes, music can and does affect your emotions- both through the lyrics and the melodies. And this can affect/ raise your consciousness level, even bring you to tears, so rather than drowning in the effect, Channel it by whatever means works for you. Use it to create a thought-form, like a giant 50-giga-ton sub-atomic Love bomb, and drop it on some person/place that really deserves it! Or something. Change the rules- often. Sooner, or later, we may all figure a way off this prison planet- and I'd rather go off singing, and smilin', than in chains...

Here's an example: Watch Celine Dion, accompanied by Joe Walsh (nice couple, eh?) and imagine that she is singing to her/your higher-self, or version of the highest ideal of God/Christ consciousness, or whatever works for you, and see where it takes ya...

Here is one of my fav's. Please watch it to the end. U2 always had a surrender flag. When I first saw them in 1983 March at Chapel Hill where I went to college I got up and shook Bono's hand on stage., the police ran me off, but well worth it.
Years later in Panama, an Irishman at the bar I ran into each of us knew him and he knew him personally and we drank all night and listened to U2. Co-incindeces do not happen.

Sit Down (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRD51qEJ8t4) by James

I sing myself to sleep
A song from the darkest hour
Secrets I can’t keep
Inside of the day
Swing from high to deep
Extremes of sweet and sour
Hope that God exists
I hope I pray

Drawn by the undertow
My life is out of control
I believe this wave will bear my weight
So let it flow

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down, down
In sympathy

Now I’m relieved to hear
That you’ve been to some far out places
It’s hard to carry on
When you feel all alone
Now I’ve swung back down again
It’s worse than it was before
If I hadn’t seen such riches
I could live with being poor

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down, down
In sympathy

Those who feel the breath of sadness
Sit down next to me
Those who find they’re touched by madness
Sit down next to me
Those who find themselves ridiculous
Sit down next to me
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate, in tears
In love, in fear, in hate

Down
Down

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down, down
In sympathy

Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Oh sit down
Sit down next to me
Sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down, down
In sympathy

Down

Hello Robert. Thanks for the retro visit to some of the music that came out in the 60"s.As someone raised in the 60"s and was part of that generation which exploded with creativity, I am still up for rocking in the new century. Music is an integral part of my every day life and I am broad spectrum in my choices of music, as long as they are uplifting and inspirational to the human spirit. We are music and music is us. Hope you will continue to follow your creativity, whereever it leads you.Cheers bud!http://www.divinecosmos.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

Bob ---it took me on another all night woodstock orgy is what it did, this time no tears just strong emotion - stop! enough already. That was a nice notion about planting a love bomb, but doesn't work for me. At least not like that.

Like being told to send light to the planet to wherever it needs it, close your eyes, concentrate, let goooooooo........ok, ho hum, now what?

I hate meditation! And I hate exercises and all that kind of stuff. Been there, done that, no more, I'm off to something different.

I love what you say about getting off this prison planet. Reminds me of a time I got my mind blown during this healing with crystals course I was on years ago. I got handed a book chanelling the Crystal Skull, started reading it, then read this bit about this planet being the dumping ground for the galaxy's criminals and assorted riff raff, and now they were freaked out because this criminal population was about to blow everybody up so they had to send lots of light workers to try to stop the destruction. My world stopped for about 10 minutes, I couldn't move.

I just KNEW it was the truth. Something deep inside got really affected. In this same book it talked about music being a language. That resonated as well. That book really did me in.

So in that sense, yes this planet is a prison, and we are either the criminal riff raff or lightworkers, take your pick. Oh, yah, another thing it said is that artists like j joplin, hendrix, morrison, and probably lennon, were sent to speak to the earth inhabitants through the music language, to balance out the energies or whatever, and that they had difficulty with the heavy atmosphere here, and had to leave early because they couldn't handle it. Too right!

And that information doesn't conflict at all with the info that's going around now, in fact, it ties neatly in, I think. Most everything I read or hear has a part to play in the whole picture, "take what you like and leave the rest" and the pieces of the puzzle are fitting in, bit by bit. A bit of mixed metaphoring...

Anyway, thanks Bob, you're a gem. love, larissa

Nah, there's definately some great music out these days! hehe :) I do agree with what you said, with regards to rap music. However, there is a lot of modern music with a positive message, though you have to look primarily in alternative and electronic music to find it.

This is a great song with a powerful music video, I think:

Nickelback - If Everyone Cared
http://youtube.com/watch?v=_JeSG4-jg3Q

This song also has a powerful music video. It's about how we must learn to forgive what humanity/ourselves have done (as a whole).

Linkin Park - What I've Done
http://youtube.com/watch?v=8sgycukafqQ

This one, is more on the electronic music side, which appeals to my young ears I guess. But really, it does have quite beautiful, spiritual lyrics. (note: I did not make the video)

[And you can search for this one too]
Delerium - Truly

I hope these are a treat to everyone's ears :)

I love music but apart from playing recorder and violin in elementary school and a few attempts at spoons at parties I have never been all that musically inclined.

Yesterday while listening to music I was just in awe of what some of these artists can produce and was thinking about what it must be like to be an amazing musician, or artist. I think many of them have a direct link to the creator so to speak.

Anyways, I came home and last night read this (from a book on David's reading list) speaking about the "future".

Human individuals will not function in such cumbersome fashion as they do today. They will go about their tasks with the grace of dancers, performing to a music that each will hear on his or her own channel, the music of his or her own soul. Through melodies, God will sustain each of his contextual identities in supreme fullfillment. Specific melodies will change with each environment, with each movement, with each task.Yet a consistent overall pattern of musical relationship will constitute the new identity of Mankind. The song of the moment , will be what each individual is in that moment, translated into an ever changing musical score.

Music will be the informational medium through which the Totality of consciousness informs each individual cell of its specific functional duties within the Totality. Individuals will participate in this music as well as listen to it. All humanity will be involved in Conscious Creation, immensely fulfilled in the capacities they serve. When an individual is not required in a functional capacity, he or she will be free to compose the score that will specify a route of musical travel within the body of Creation

So I may get the chance to experience what it's like to be a great composer. Sounds like it could be fun.

There comes a time
When we head a certain call
When the world must come together as one
There are people dying
And it's time to lend a hand to life
The greatest gift of all

We can't go on
Pretending day by day
That someone, somewhere will soon make a change
We are all a part of
God's great big family
And the truth, you know love is all we need

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Send them your heart
So they'll know that someone cares
And their lives will be stronger and free
As God has shown us by turning stone to bread
So we all must lend a helping hand

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

When you're down and out
There seems no hope at all
But if you just believe
There's no way we can fall
Well, well, well, well, let us realize
That a change will only come
When we stand together as one

[Chorus]
We are the world
We are the children
We are the ones who make a brighter day
So let's start giving
There's a choice we're making
We're saving our own lives
It's true we'll make a better day
Just you and me

Thanks for that one, Bob! It's my favorite Glenn Miller tune.
My parents grew of age during the Big Band era, so I grew up hearing this stuff all the time. Even though I am a child of the sixties (born in '54), I can still appreciate the music of my parents and (most of) the music of my children.

I had to pass along the link for this to my mom. I know she'll love it, too.

When I have the time, I'll look for some of the ones I really enjoyed in MY era. (In the process of moving - just bought a house - with a yard where I can enjoy the earth again!)

Joni Mitchell - I've had this song on my mind with all the construction going on at my soon to be old location. Watched them tear down a couple of acres of trees and grade the land for new apartments.

And this one just describes how I've been feeling the last couple of years with my life changes: (also a Joni Mitchell song, but I'm more familiar with the Judy Collins version)

Hey everybody — a bit off-topic, I know, but Nine Inch Nails released a free album today and I want to share the love. I've always felt that Trent was a wanderer, and derive some amount of spiritual support from his instrumentals. The website is www.nin.com.

Much LOVE an GRADITUDE to ALL who have contributed their thoughts and musical findings to this effort!!!

I can remember when this song first came out( the black & white cameras should be a clue), and it was just so out-there at the time-

Donovan- Hail Atlantis

I love Donovan, but don't remember this song from back then. I first heard it when I watched a video on Atlantis recently, it was very moving. Then I watched this other video about how evil the Atlanteans were ( he made a good case) then I felt differently about the song (I'm easily swayed).

I'm always impressed at how clued in these artists are. They've got to be messengers, guides, or something. Or just us, only more able to express that which we all know from deep within. Whatever. What would this world be like without music?

There's sychronicity for ya! I was just thinking about looking for this song yesterday.

I have "Atlantis" on an old 45 - oops my age is showing! Last year I was looking for a calendar and had a gift card for an online store, and the shipping was free with a $25 purchase, so I looked through their cd assortment. And I found a Donovan's greatest hits cd and ordered it. "Atlantis" is on it.

Great find!

Hey music fans!

I just wanted to send a big thanks to everyone for sharing the music that moves them.

Robert, thanks for that Rush link. Yep, I have heard of 'em and even listened quite a bit, but it's been a while. So thanks for helping me re-awaken some great musical memories! Plenty more on the way for us all, I'm sure.

Alchemikey, I really enjoyed that "One Drum" video. I guess I've been kinda locked into a certain kind of rock vibe lately, and that song really helped me remember I'm allowed to enjoy other stuff too! Thanks again.

Peace,

It is the Breath, Out-In/ give-recieve then Laugh = (neutrality/ Rest) but then out again to experience growth (GOD/YOUR OWN free will/ you are one) but then outward to infinitly to co-create --- then again ---then repeat the process times infinity -- then you will realize you are infinite.

Brreath = nuetrality , just like a laugh, a balance, a convergence, a polarization -- there is tour "Oneness". In between the breath , that is is what (in my humble opinion) we strive for. But then agian again you must go outward (as is the breath), therein lie the growth. Out, In; Give/Recieve (let my cup be empty so that it may be full! Get it!

Hey jma,

I liked it- twice... say, now- did you self-moderate yourself here, or what? Not that it's against any rules I know of, or anything, in fact I.ve self-moderated my self a few times here in the past (Need to slap me? here- use My hand- keep your's in your pocket!:D )

As we learn/re-learn/ remember just how powerfully music can have an effect on our emotions, when combined with a visual presentation, the effect multiplies many-fold. It's, well, just built into our physiology. But- WE can control the process between input, and assimilation by changing the message to whatever we like- turn black into white, darkness into shimering light, country music into- nah, somethings can never happen.:)

In this next song, try substituting the word Planet, every time you hear the word- Town, and see what percolates. (hey, JanET, I found it!!!)

I finally realize with amazement, the meaning of the lyrics of music that I’ve heard so passionately during my entire life.

It seriously seems that musicians have a very authentic connection to Source; they have been singing the same things those scientists and spiritualists have been studying meditating, measuring and looking for…

I have learned to understand, and later to read (and write) in English mainly to understand the lyrics of the music I loved SO very much! But I now that I am getting in touch with all these ascension, 2012, DNA upgrade, etc, theories I am noticing that musicians have been singing that for “ever” …

Amazing

I was thinking about absolutely nothing and just surfing the web and I felt the urge to look up this song. I am not a huge Cat Stevens/ Jusuf Islam fan but none the less I looked it up. And guess what time it was 10:10 pm. So my higher self wanted me to take a moment and get things into some kind of a perspective. I believe this is in response to me asking with what is coming and what can I do? There is more than a small message in this song. So here is the link. Listen and enjoy a good message. I think this will help lighten a otherwise heavy day/time we are all in right now. Without further adieu, Peacetrain: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7iLPnDCQ1g

Gary Byrd with Stevie Wonder. This song has been sneaking around in the back of my head all this week. Early 80's rap don't get much better than this.

No money, no girls, no guns, no drugs, no gold teeth. Real rap for STO folk.

For a different sort of selection: here's a song by a Finnish band named Sonata Arctica. Indeed, their musical style could easily be called metal, as many Scandinavians are well versed in all things metal, but don't let that mislead you - there is a high-intensity of positive energy pouring through this band's music. This may not so much soothe you as it will motivate/inspire you, but that's just as well :-) The song tells a sympathetic story of a girl who is going through her own Dark Night and is suicidal. However, the song is largely a message to anyone who could relate to such a story - the chorus is: "Dancing on the path and singing 'now you got away'. You can reach the goals that you have set from now on, every day. There is no way you would go back now, oh no, those days are past. Life is waiting for the one who loves to live, and it's not a secret!"
Beautiful words, if you ask me.

Well come on
All you people
The time has come to get together
You gotta have a little rock n roll music
To get you through the stormy weather
And do whatever you feel
When you let go
Nothins gonna help you more than rock n roll

(chorus)
So come on, put you hands together
Ya come on, put your hands together
Now come on
You know its now or never
Take a chance on rock n roll

Ooo are you feelin satisfied
Come on let us give your mind a ride
Ooo are you ready tonight
Come on let us give your mind a ride
It's up to you, you can do what you like
Come on let us give your mind a ride

Oh that funky feelin
Is what you need to get you through
Ya you oughta know
Ill tell you somethin
Dont let your troubles get to you

When you let go
Nothins gonna help you more than rock n roll

Dave's a Denver native. We actually met him in person at the Flatirons Mall a couple of years ago while Christmas shopping . He was playing the electric violin and promoting his CDs. We heard it from a distance and it knocked our socks off (and I can't even hear well!). The instrument itself looks like something from outer space. We bought 7 of his CDs for gifts. If he's not an Indigo or Crystal Child, I'd be surprised. There's only one video on UTube but you can hear more at his website. Especially good for relaxation while meditating. So I posted this thread previously but broke some rules while doing so, so this time I'll to be more rule friendly :) ... I have recently found that the music I listen to may have deeper meaning than I previously thought, so I would like to ask others opinion on this. I will start with A song and if there is interest in this I will add more. Now I can't tell you where to hear the song(s) but I'm sure if you search you will find copies of this song for free somewhere on the net.

Anyway the song is titled: Only in Dreams
Artist: Weezer

Lyrics:

You cant resist her.
Shes in your bones.
She is your marrow, and your ride home.

You cant avoid her.
Shes in the air.
[in the air]
And in between molecules of oxygen and carbon dioxide.

Only in dreams, youll see what it means.
Reach out our hands.
Hold on to hers.
But when we wake, its all been erased.
And so it seems... only in dreams.

You walk up to her.
Ask her to dance.
She says hey baby, I just might take a chance.

You say its a good thing.
That you float in the air.
[in the air.]
Up where theres no way I will crush
Your pretty toenails into a thousand pieces.

Only in dreams, youll see what it means.
Reach out our hands.
Hold on to hers.
But when we wake, its all been erased.
And so it seems... only in dreams.

Only in dreams.

[you gotta love it.]

To me this song is refering to "mother nature" as a woman. It refers to knowing what "it" means when your sleeping and then "when we wake, its all been erased. And so it seems...". "Only in dreams", to me this quote is about how we seem to only understand the "truth" while sleeping.

Please let me know how you feel about this, because I'd love some others input. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Love and Peace to all!

I loved this song the first time I heard it when I was 17 and still love it today. I think it has definite hidden meaning. Unfortunately I can't seem to find a you tube video of it but here are the lyrics:

It has often been my dream
To live with one
who wasn't there
Like an ocean fish
who swam upstream
Through nets,
by hooks, and hungry bears.

When the water grew less deep
My fins were aching
from the strain
I'm swimming in my sleep
I know I can't go back again.

Got the will to love,
the will to love.
I'll never lose it,
never lose the will to love,
Never lose the will.
It's like
something from up above.

I can be like
a fire in the night
Always warm
and giving off light
But there comes a time
when I shine too bright
Oh, I'm just a fire in the night.

And now my fins are in the air
And my belly's
scraping on the rocks
I still think
someone really cares
And I'll keep swimming
till I stop.

Got the will to love,
the will to love.
I'll never lose it,
never lose the will to love,
Never lose the will.
It's like
something from up above.

I'm like a singer on the stage
With the golden lights
and liquid rage
Down from the mountains
to the sea
Cool running love
keeps cleansing me.

It keeps my gills
from getting dry
But it distorts things
in my eyes
Sometimes I see
what really isn't there
Like my true lover, and I care.

Got the will to love,
the will to love.
I'll never lose it,
never lose the will to love,
Never lose the will.
It's like
something from up above.

Sometimes I ramble on and on
And I repeat myself
till all my friends are gone
And get lost in snow
and drown in rain
And never feel the same again.

I remember the ocean
from where I came
Just one of millions all the same
But somewhere
someone calls my name
I'm a harpoon dodger,
and I can't, won't be tamed.

Got the will to love,
the will to love.
I'll never lose it,
never lose the will to love,
Never lose the will.
It's like
something from up above.

Baby, if I see boredom
in your eyes
I'll know my river has run dry
But I won't turn back
with that lonely tide
I bought that ticket
and I'll take that ride.

If we meet along the way
Please sway beside me,
let us sway together
Our tails together
and our fins and mind
We'll leave this water
and let our scales shine
In the sun above
and the sky below
So all the water
and earth will know

It has often been my dream
To live with one
who wasn't there.

Here's a gem for y'all -

Joga Lyrics

Artist: Bjork
Album: Homogenic

All these accidents,
That happen,
Follow the dot,
Coincidence,
Makes sense,
Only with you,
You don't have to speak,
I feel.

Emotional landscapes,
They puzzle me,
Then the riddle gets solved,
And you push me up to this

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be,
State of emergency,
Is where I want to be.

All that no-one sees,
You see,
What's inside of me,
Every nerve that hurts,
You heal,
Deep inside of me, oo-oohh,
You don't have to speak,
I feel.

Emotional landscapes,
They puzzle me - confuse,
Then the riddle gets solved,
And you push me up to this

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be,
State of emergency,
Is where I want to be.

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be,

Emotional landscapes,
They puzzle me,
Then the riddle gets solved,
And you push me up to this

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be,
State of emergency,
Is where I want to be.

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be,
State of emergency,
State of, state of,
How beautiful,
Emergency,
Is where I want to be.

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be,
State of emergency,
Is where I want to be.

State of emergency,
How beautiful to be.

Eva- Nightwish

6:30 winter morn
Snow keeps falling, silent dawn
A rose by any other name
Eva leaves her Swanbrook home
A kindest heart which always made
Me ashamed of my own
She walks alone but not without her name

Eva flies away
Dreams the world far away
In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
Eva sails away
Dreams the world far away
The Good in her will be my sunflower field

Mocked by man to depths of shame
Little girl with life ahead
For a memory of one kind word
She would stay among the beasts
Time for one more daring dream
Before her escape, edenbeam
We kill with her own loving heart

Eva flies away
Dreams the world far away
In this cruel children's game
There's no friend to call her name
Eva sails away
Dreams the world far away
The Good in her will be my sunflower field

Silver Lining by David Gray

Take this silver lining
Keep it in your own sweet head
Shine it when the night is burning red
Shine it in the twilight
Shine it on the cold cold ground
Shine it till these walls come
Tumbling down

We were born with our eyes wide open
So alive with wild hope
Now can you tell me why
Time after time
They drag you down
Down in the darkness deep
Fools in their madness all around
Know that the light don't sleep

Step into the silence
Take it in your own two hands
And scatter it like diamonds
All across these lands
Blaze it in the morning
Wear it like an iron skin
Only things worth living for
Innocence and magic-amen

We were born with our eyes wide open
So alive with wild hope
Now can you tell me why
Time after time
They drag you down
Down in the darkness deep
Fools in their madness all around
Know that the light don't sleep

We were born with our eyes wide open
So alive with wild hope
Now can you tell me why
Time after time
They drag you down
Down with talk so cheap

Fools in their madness all around
-Know that the light don't sleep
-Know that the light don't sleep
Time after time
They drag you down
Down in the darkness deep
Fools in their madness all around
-Know that the light don't sleep
-Know that the light don't sleep

Lyrics:
"Dissolved Girl"

[Sara Jay]

Shame, such a shame
I think I kind of lost myself again
Day, yesterday
Really should be leaving but I stay

Say, say my name
I need a little love to ease the pain
I need a little love to ease the pain
It's easy to remember when it came

'Cause it feels like I've been
I've been here before
You are not my savior
But I still don't go

Feels like something
That I've done before
I could fake it
But I still want more

Fade, made to fade
Passion's overrated anyway
Say, say my name
I need a little love to ease the pain
I need a little love to ease the pain
It's easy to remember when it came

'Cause it feels like I've been
I've been here before
You are not my savior
But I still don't go, oh

I feel live something
That I've done before
I could fake it
But I still want more, oh.

I just want to thank you for posting this topic...

Music is a great tool for merging our consciousness I find. Use whatever gives you inspiration...see the great thing with our imagination and free will, is that no matter what the song is you can view it in the way you wish...

Right now I view all songs and music as songs of healing...Envisioning shades of green...activating all my energy centers and drawing energy from Mother Earth and then into myself and back out with love.

This process is like breathing...

Peace, Love, and, Unity...

Anyone have any insights?

I'm fairly tech savvy, I'm not a tech guru but I have a couple of my own websites, so, I'm not tech incompetent.

My jpg is only 21kb so I sincerely doubt that's the issue.

Help?

At 8 years old, I remember being fascinated by this song,
but I didn't know why. I even recorded it by sticking a tape
recorder to the speaker on the stereo.

Here is a link to the You Tube video

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=N1Hs2AQwDgA

The lyrics to the song are:

Standing there alone
the ship is waiting
all systems
are go
are you sure?
control is not convinced
but the computer
has the evidence
"no need to abort"
the countdown starts

watching in a trance
the crew is certain
nothing left to chance
all is working
trying to relax
up in the capsule
"send me up a drink"
jokes Major Tom
the count goes on

4 3 2 1
Earth below us
drifting falling
floating weightless
calling calling home...

second stage is cut
we're now in orbit
stabilizers up
runnning perfect
starting to collect
requested data
what will it affect
when all is done
thinks Major Tom

back at ground control
there is a problem
go to rockets full
not responding
"hello Major Tom
are you receiving
turn the thrusters on
we're standing by"
there's no reply

4 3 2 1
Earth below us
drifting falling
floating weightless
calling calling home...

across the stratosphere
a final message
"give my wife my love"
then nothing more

far beneath the ship
the world is mourning
they don't realize
he's alive
no one understands
but Major Tom sees
now the light commands
this is my home
I'm coming home

Earth below us
drifting falling
floating weightless
coming home...
Earth below us
drifting falling
floating weightless
coming home...
Earth below us
drifting falling
floating weightless
coming coming home...
home.....

From the Wikipedia page:

"Major Tom is a fictional astronaut"

"In Peter Schilling's 1983 song "Major Tom (Coming Home)" Tom is presumed dead by people on earth, but in reality he has survived. It is revealed that Major Tom never intended to return to Earth, as he was actually a spaceman disguised as an Earthling astronaut. "Coming Home" means returning to space, not to Earth. In this song the word "light" in "now the Light commands" is often heard or transcribed as "life", but the liner notes of the Error In The System LP (and the original German), though, confirm the word "light".

This song is about a Wanderer going home....

Will wonders never cease....

Chris Martin's music has had such an amazing healing effect on the world. With lyrics like these there is no doubt in my mind that he is a wanderer:

Are you lost or incomplete?
Do you feel like a puzzle, you can't find your missing piece?

Well I feel like they're talking in a language I don't speak
And they're talking it to me

Hi!

I am looking for more song selections for my baby boy. The only type of music that he seems to sleep well to is Mozart, Beethoven, Bradfield, Anael - all of which (from what i understand at least) is of a particular frequency that enables our souls and hearts to open up.

I appreciate it very much if anyone has any other songs suggestions. Thanks in advance.

As far as music to fall asleep to, I like falling asleep to piano music. I find classical symphonies like mozart and beethoven really rise and fall so much in volume they sometimes wake me up at different points after Ive already fallen asleep, so I prefer to listen to them in the day. Any piano music by Mozart or Beethoven is obviously good, I also really love Schubert's impromptus, Mendelssohn's songs without words, and also Bach's well-tempered clavier.

While we are on the subject of classical era stuff, here is the first part of the first movement, of Mozart's symphony # 38 enjoy. :)

Hi everyone,

Don't know if anyone is familiar with Eva's music but after stumbling on her music, I fell in love with her. Also, researching her background, I strongly believe she was a wanderer. Her voice is indefinable and really speaks to my soul, elevates my spirit, and has a musical tone that is nothing short of angelic. She died before she became well-known and refused to sacrifice her music for the big music excecs. She now has a following all over the world.
Here is a sample of her music from youtube.

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
Age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!

Harmony and understanding
Sympathy and trust abounding
No more falsehoods or derisions
Golden living dreams of visions
Mystic crystal revelation
And the mind's true liberation
Aquarius! Aquarius!

When the moon is in the Seventh House
And Jupiter aligns with Mars
Then peace will guide the planets
And love will steer the stars

This is the dawning of the Age of Aquarius
Age of Aquarius
Aquarius! Aquarius!

Let the sun shine, Let the sun shine in
The sun shine in
Let the sun shine, Let the sun shine in

A small remark from an astrologer though.....In astrology there are no houses if it's supposed to be a prediction for Planet Earth. Only pple, places, countries and horaryquestions have houses in the chart.

So the Moon will not be in any "house"... Earth can be named "Our House in Cosmos" though;)

I have a dream:)

Or more correctly, I just had one 10 minutes ago! I've been performing since age 14 in the early 60:ies and I'm turning 60 this year. I'm a child of the Flower Power Peacegeneration and never ceased to be one despite of my age, was then cought up in the leftwinged radical musicmovement in Sweden. Deep down inside I always was a radical pacifist though. Gandhi actually was very fascinated with wepons before turning to Non-violence.

My dream is a music-festival honoring the principles of Divinecosmos togehter with likeminded pple like you guys. I was called the Joan Baez of Sweden once. I almost don't dare to talk about my artistry for fear of someone cutting my head off or cencor my post... "who do you think you are" etc. But since David paved the way for fearlessly admitting his talent, why shouldn't I? "Somewhere Over the Rainbow....birds fly....Why can't I.....

I'm not trying to sell myself here, I'm trying to "Come Together" and come out of my depressive seclusion, not continuing to put my light under a bushel allowing my abilities to "rot" because Sweden has a hughe youthcomplex that mixes well with my selfdenial side;)

A medium told me I'm going to the US...perhaps someone will arrange a spiritual Woodstock "over there" with everybody singing "Age of Aquarius" in The END.

I have no link here, but listen to Crosby Stills Nash and Young.."We have All been here before".."Love is coming to us All"..Wonder if they know about Divinecosmos;)

Sarah Brightman of course.

Enya... Enigma...

and I will always point to the lyrics of Cruxshadows

but theres another gothic band called Birthday Massacre... they did a song called "Movie" and its just so beautiful... I actually feel something! LOL

Going back to Enigma... have any of you heard the song Goodbye, Milky Way?

And on that note one of the pieces of music that always - always gets me, is the Phantom of the Opera overture. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Surprised no one has mentioned SASH!, Mysterious Times (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2syiIGRsyvI) yet, this is an amazing song I never would have heard if it hadn't of been for my wife introducing them to me!

Counting the hours and days until the end of time
Feeling the change and don't know why

It's awesome how so many songs can relate back to the Law of One and the fact that we are in an amazing time that is going to see a lot of changes.

me likey :)

You ever notice songs relate to it when you had not noticed previously? It is like you can only notice when you open your eyes further to absorbing the light that is out there. Where once all you could spot was the negative, now you start to see the positive.

"there are other forces at work, besides the will of evil, and that is an encouraging thought"

Its like youre starting to actually see the forces for the will of good :)

I am a big music lover! It can stir your soul, make you smile, raise light in your life :) It is truely powerful, and that is why I will only listen to music that is not hateful or deeply disturbed. It can create in you the feelings it carries in its vibrations.
I have a special fondness for the "new age" genre (though I do not like to call it that :) ) especially celtic music. The soulful wailing of pipes transports me to another place and time. I recommend Clannad to those of you out there who love celtic music and deeply stirring songs. (I have a music list of celtic music that is terribly long so if you want to discover some more, just let me know, I'll message you some.)
There is another group that I have recently begun to listen to, called Era. They often use latin lyrics and there is something about hearing that language that makes me soar. In particular is this song called Sinfoni Deo that I adore. Here it is:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yl7WtEW3kdU
these lyrics particularly move me:

Until we can walk on free land
Until we can choose who to love
Until we can dance on honour
You hold my hands together

Until we can walk on free land
Until we can tell the children
That Earth is a safe place again
We’ll stand and hold together

And another song out of many that I love is "Send me an Angel" from acoustica of the Scorpions:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_lMNufI3hA
I get shudders from this song

happy listening to all and thanks for the other songs to listen to everyone out there!

I have a special fondness for the "new age" genre (though I do not like to call it that :) ) especially celtic music.

I am with you there! I have alot of this music, and it really helps you feel connected. Do you remember Bill & Teds Bogus Journey? The sequel to Excellent Adventure... where there music becomes the only music of the future?
I think the music of the future is "new age". But I agree its more universe and cosmic than new age.

I keep listening to these two songs right now...
"Close to Heaven" by Andi Slavik... usually it gets reported as Enigma but its not... this song is literally making me want to cry sometimes, because when I listen to it, I feel that heaven.

The soulful wailing of pipes transports me to another place and time. I recommend Clannad to those of you out there who love celtic music and deeply stirring songs. (I have a music list of celtic music that is terribly long so if you want to discover some more, just let me know, I'll message you some.)

I am in love with the bagpipes especially - people usually hear the wrong kinds... but actually it can be very haunting. Its so beautiful.
Have you heard the albums by Mychael & Jeff Danna? They are full of this kind.

For example, listen to this song:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fT9lTqqu3qI
especially at 3:06 in, you will hear the bagpipes, and OMG
(theres also this one thats beautiful called "The Child Dierdre" you can search)
The second song is I believe I mentioned before... called "The Same Parents" by Enigma...

Ive heard of Clannad before Im going to look them up :)

There is another group that I have recently begun to listen to, called Era. They often use latin lyrics and there is something about hearing that language that makes me soar.

Some of the best is foreign. You know theres a medieval band that sings in Latin - that really gets me too.... called Qntal, this is a song called Flamma... in some ways I put this under the same category as my other music because its medieval :) But "new age" has many different sounds to it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JL2qU0QTvCs&feature=related

And another song out of many that I love is "Send me an Angel" from acoustica of the Scorpions:

I like the lead singers voice - my favorite song from them is Winds of Change.
Theres a song from the 80s called Send Me An Angel by Real Life thats followed me throughout my life, so what you wrote above instantly had that one in me brain lol

Thanks for the suggestions! I listened to these songs and really appreciated hearing them :)
Qntal was really unique, it made me think of the Phantom of the Opera a little bit.
The bagpipes were very beautiful and I know what you mean about the haunting quality.

I was painting today and listening to the Pure Moods album "Celestial Moods" and it is quite a nice album, I especially like this song by Sheila Chandra called "Crescent silver scythe" which is very powerful.
She is quite an amazing singer, and her album, "Weaving my Ancesters Voices" is a splendid mix of Indian drone, celtic music, and everyonce in a while latin. I highly recommend it, it always transports me into a meditative zone.

I talked about liking a celtic music group called Clannad earlier, and I wanted to share one of my favorite songs. It is called New Grange, and it is about the druids. When I hear this song, it gives me shivers and I feel transported back in time. Lately I have been reading alot about lost civilizations and the hidden knowledge, and this song makes me think about that. I believe that the Druids possessed some of this ancient and lost knowledge, and I would so love to remember this time. This song speaks to this for me.

Here are a few lyrics and the link to the song.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GvL0ggdYKjQ

There is a place on the east
Mysterious ring, a magical ring of stones
The druids have lived there once they said,
Forgotten is the race that no-one knows.

I have the same thing - I love history. You know Ive never been able to shake uneasiness when I hear people talk about the Druids being evil and using sacrifices.
Granted I dont know if thats true or not, but that uneasiness I get is an instant 'no that information is wrong' kind of thing. Because they honored and respected all forms of life. And perhaps there were some that went bad and did sacrifices but their actions cannot be used to stereotype the rest.

This is a pretty song, I like the lyrics as well

I don't know why but the word "Druids" has always resonated with me in a way I can't explain. I've never even really read a lot about Druids, only heard things here and there but never anything substantial to make a reasonable decision on what Druids really are.

And yet whenever I think Druids, I feel peace and love throughout my soul

Magic
Olivia Newton-John

Come take my hand
You should know me
I've always been in your mind
You know that I'll be kind
I'll be guiding you

Building your dream
Has to start now
There's no other road to take
You won't make a mistake
I'll be guiding you

You have to believe we are magic
Nothin' can stand in our way
You have to believe we are magic
Don't let your aim ever stray
And if all your hopes survive
Your destiny will arrive
I'll bring all your dreams alive
For you

From where I stand
You are home free
The planets align so rare
There's promise in the air
And I'm guiding you

Through every turn I'll be near you
I'll come anytime you call
I'll catch you when you fall
I'll be guiding you

You have to believe we are magic
Nothin' can stand in our way
You have to believe we are magic
Don't let your aim ever stray
And if all your hopes survive
Your destiny will arrive
I'll bring all your dreams alive
For you

Yes yes that is what I feel. Almost like they were ascended to a point. Or were in contact with ascended beings. I think Stonehenge must have been meant to connect and contact higher dimension beings. And that too would explain then if a 5d negative or such got through, how it could have maybe influenced a few to become negative themselves.

Anyways I found this album by a group called Dagda, and its called Celtic Trance. Theres a song called Druids in the Glen, and although I couldnt find it on Youtube, you can hear a snippet here:
http://www.ilike.com/artist/Dagda/track/Druids+In+The+Glen

Now, on another note... One of the Indigo sites, Starchild... has this song called Winds of Change
http://www.starchildglobal.com/starchildmusic.html

I couldnt find the lyrics so Im posting what I hear :)

make storms turn into breeze
and all wars then become peace
then you know time has come
with happiness

feel the soil in your hand
take a walk in the sand
become one with this world
in your mind

::chorus::
oh i believe in winds of change
i can sense it in the air (in the air)
i see a new beginning
when time stops
and magic never ends

winds of change...
winds of change...
winds of change...
(repeat)

(the rest just repeats the chorus)

Following are edited lyrics from the two versions of the song
Justified and Ancient, by the KLF.

I think it is likely that most of us had existences on the lost
continent. And most of us identify as Wanderers.

Do you see the references?

I have always liked this song. Now I can see why.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Justified and Ancient, by the KLF.

All bound for Mu Mu Land (justified!)

They're Justified, and they're Ancient,
And they like to roam the land.

They're Justified, and they're Ancient,
I hope you understand.

They called me up in Tennessee
They said "Tammy, stand by the JAMs"
But if you don't like what they're going to do,
You better not stop them 'cause they're coming through

All bound for Mu Mu Land (justified!)

Mu Mu Land
All bound for Mu Mu Land

They're Justified, and they're Ancient,
And they drive an ice cream van.

They're Justified and they're Ancient,
With still no master plan.

The last train left an hour ago,
They were singing "All aboard"
All bound for Mu Mu Land,
Then someone starting screaming "Turn up the Strobe"

All bound for Mu Mu Land (justified!)

Rap:
Justified and Ancient, Ancient and a-justified,
Rocking to the rhythm in their ice-cream van
with the plan and the key to
enter into Mu Mu
Vibes from the tribes of the JAMs.

I know where the beat is at,
'cos I know what time it is.
Bring home a dime,
Make mine a "99"

New style, meanwhile, always on a mission while
Fishing in the rivers of life
Fishing in the rivers of life (hoi!)

Voo-va-voolie
Za-shi-va-zom
Voo-va-voolie

All bound for Mu Mu Land (justified!)

Mu Mu Land (ancients of mu mu)
All bound for Mu Mu Land

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Justified and Ancient Album Version

They're justified and they're ancient
And they like to roam the land
They're justified and they're ancient
I hope you understand
They don't want to upset the apple cart
And they don't want to cause any harm
But if you don't like what they're going to do
You better not stop them cause they're coming through

They're justified and they're ancient
And they know what time is love
They're justified and they're ancient
Did they come from up above?
Rockman he's just made of bricks
And King Boy lost his screws
The JAMS don't need no master plan
To do whatever -- ever they can

My mother told me tonight she could not get Susan out of her head.
Shes made enough of an impact she made it into Jay Lenos punchlines - and usually Jay is known for making comments about others, but he couldnt touch this one either, he had to make fun of himself.

Ten years ago, Im not even sure they would have allowed her on. It really shows how much the world is changing. The reaction of the audience proves it... and its like they are not even consciously aware of the change they are going through. They are doing it, and its all because of Susan there. Wow. I hope we dont have to wait long to hear from her again.

I became a fan of a Japanese band called the RADWIMPS a little over a year ago. The song Order Made was a huge hit in Japan and I especially love the video they made for it.

Order Made (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-A28kvuvHks)
RADWIMPS

I think I must have been asked this once.
Before I was born, by someone, somewhere.
"Choose one: the past, or the future,
And I will allow you to see it.
Which will it be?
Which will it be?"

And I probably decided on the past.
So that, rather than just strong, I could become kind, become kind.
So that I could understand what memories are.

Next, that 'somebody' told me this.
"I'll give you arms and legs and mouths and ears and eyes,
Hearts and breasts and nostrils.
I'll give you two of each one.
Isn't that great?
Isn't that great?"

But then I made a request.
I said, I'd be fine with just one mouth.
So I wouldn't argue with myself;
So I could only kiss one person.

I want to forget.
But somehow, I can't.
What do you call this kind of feeling?

Looking a little disappointed,
The person continued with his explanation.
"The hearts are most important,
So I'll put one behind each of your breasts.
Isn't that great?
Isn't that great?"

But, once more, I had a request to make.
I'm awfully sorry, but to be honest,
I really don't need a heart on the right.
Sorry to keep troubling you like this.

It's so that when I find that one special person,
And hold her close to me for the first time,
Only then will I finally be able to feel
Two hearts beating, one on each side.

The left one mine, the right, yours.
The left one yours, the right, mine.
So that alone, I'll always be lacking something.
So that I won't be able to just go on living alone.

I want to forget.
But somehow, I can't.
What do you call this kind of feeling?

My chest is pounding,
Yet somehow it seems familiar.
What do you call this kind of feeling?

"Ah, that reminds me, there's one last thing.
Would you like us to add in tears as well?
You'd have no problems without them,
But some people find them annoying, so they opt out.
What would you like?
What would you like?"

In the end, I asked him to add them in.
So that, rather than just strong, I could become kind, become kind.
So I could understand what it means to hold something dear.

"Oh, while we're at it, the tears will need a flavour.
So I'd just like you to choose which one you'd prefer.
We have sour, salty, spicy, sweet.
You can choose whichever you like.
Which will you have?
Which will you have?"

Everything was put together just as requested,
So wipe those tears away and let me see your face.
Come on, show it to me with pride.

Thank you so much for everything.
Sorry to have caused you so much trouble.
But could I just ask one last thing?
"Have we met somewhere before?"
