i was hoping some sky watcher out there could help me out with something.
earlier this summer i read about the leonid meteorites. for whatever reason
i was sure they were visible in places throughout the summer, as such when i
was in northern canada where the sky is clear and beautiful i set out to see
them. everynight i would lay in a beautiful field of grass near the water
and watch as the sky put on a beautiful show. in ten minutes i could spot
over twelve meteorites (and unfortunately even more satelites than space
deserves), and then stirring the waters create my own light show with the
phospherescents. i was there for three months and for that whole time if
there were no clouds i could see this.
well it turns out that these were not the leonids. so i'm trying to figure
out exactly what it was that i saw. i'm intrigued by the recent mars
mysteries but am thinking there may be a better answer. help me out here
guys.
