I know DW had mentioned a couple of times about information on The Shroud of Tourin and a case for authenticity that he's been compiling. I just saw a special on it here on a local PBS station.

http://www.pbs.org/wnet/secrets/case_shroudchrist/index.html

This was extremely well done and explored the bulk of the history and science behind it's verification. There was even a physician who showed through his experiment with irradiating his blood that he could imprint his features on the cloth through light emanating from within (just like DW was talking about)....... I was wondering if anyone has caught this yet. The date for the feature was 2004, so I didn't know if this was just now being released, or this was a replay to cash in on this current James Cameron mania. Any updates on DW's info, or is this being saved for a C2C appearance?

Shroud of Turin has always been a "mystery" and I enjoy all the different theories about it.

Authors Christopher Knight and Robert Lomas in their book "The Second Messiah" theorize that the shroud is really an image of Jacques de Molay. They feel the type of results might be caused due to chemicals released by a body during times of great stress and attempted to create their own "shroud." Photos of their attempt is in the book.

I think the carbon dating of the shroud varied a lot depending on who did the test. But if memory serves correct, a general agreement is that it should be dated around 1100 AD or somewhere within that time frame.

Anatoly Fomenko in his book History: Fiction or Science he also dates the shroud to around 1100 AD and mentions the Catholic church recalled all samples and refuses any further tests on the shroud.

I still don't know what to think of the shroud and so remain skeptical at this point.

I'm telling you, you really should check this out:

[Note from moderator: original url did not work and was replaced with the url above]

Check the website for upcoming replays (you can get PBS, right?), or order the DVD...... I will be..... and I'll be passing it out to everyone I know....... it's THAT well done (IMHO)....... I can't tell you how many copies of DW's stuff I've printed out & passed along to interested parties. I know they are floating around this site as either participants or "interested observers"........ I would never post on such a subject, or print off all these copies of DW's material, unless I felt that strongly about it. I was just blown away, and I just really want to know if anyone else has seen this, and if it corresponds with DW's research....... or is he saving all his info for a Coast to Coast appearance?

Anyone?

Re-Molay, he also encouraged me to see lecture 8 in Steiner's "Book Of Revelation and The Work of the Priest" where Steiner said that , "...the demise of the Templars is shrouded in a stupendous secret." NINA
