Hello,

After reading David's wonderful post on dreams and some guidelines offered I was wondering what his views on animals.

I have come to recently notice a large significant animal presence in my dreams. Regardless of the "experience" there is almost always my awareness of various animals.

I've come to study a bit on Shamanism (aka. animal spirits) and I do hold personal beliefs onto this.

I like your take on the metaphors, especially the method of transport and whether the dream is outdoors/ indoors, most of mine are outside.

I was unable to response on his thread so I am hoping he notices this reply here or a moderator will approve it and move it accordingly.

Namaste,
Tim

Actually, I'm hoping David will write a book about dream analysis some day (hint, hint :) ). Every time he writes something about the subject I learn something new but it's hard always trying to piece everything together from his occasional posts that describe the meaning of metaphors in the dreamscape .

After reading David Wilcocks essay about interpreting dreams yesterday afternoon I remembered my dreams of last night this morning. I was driving a truck, something I love to do. Then I realized it was an eighteen wheeler with an emergency brake problem. I was easily operating the air brakes something I’ve never learned to drive in physical time, but parking was an issue because of the e-brake. That meant taking great care about parking for loading and unloading.

The truck is a visual representation of my spirit body. (Can you see Honors the Gentle Breath of Spirit in gold lettering on the door with me?) The e-brake problem refers to the addictive substances, like caffeine and nicotine that I flirt with. I am functional as a truck but constrained by an e-brake that can not hold me back on the hills, or situations where I need to hold back my weight and the weight of the load.

I am delighted with such a clear message from my dream self…I’m going in the right direction, loving the scenery and the road itself. I had no clue as the driver what the destination was, that was unfolding as we went and I was comfortable with that. I will take the truck into my favorite mechanic and have the e-brake adjusted or replaced if necessary.

here are some titles of books to help with dream interpitation in regards to animals.

[Note from moderator: if you are interested in these two books, please email i-u-we privately. I thought of releasing them, but with the many, many books along this line, we could end up with a myriad of book recommendations. I am sure there are many wonderful books out there and we can google them on the internet, but we can talk to each other privately about them]
