hi all,
first when looking for evidence of atlantis it is worth considering what
happened 12,000 to 13,000 years ago. i believe that there is quite clear
evidence that the sea level rose 300 to 400 hundred feet to its current day
level during that period. further this occurred in a matter of decades not
centuries. a geologist should be able to confirm this. now consider if the
same event happened today. clearly all our major ports used for shipping
would become redundant. as most cities are built on rivers, it would also
not take long for these to be not only submerged, but covered over with
sediment. so given thousands of years for these processes to take place it
is not surprising that little evidence is available. that does not mean it
is not there it is just we have not been advanced enough to find it. on a
more sinister note it may well have been found using military technology and
then suppressed.
what has been found though and has caused huge debate in japan is the
yonaguni structure. i recently spoke to some japanese girls who told me this
find was huge news in japan. to there knowledge it was now proven to be an
artificial structure. what i found intriguing was how little press this has
received in the rest of the world. as this structure has not been above sea
level for over 12,000 years the implications are obviously quite profound.
below are a couple of links to the yonaguni structure off the coast of
japan. the final link on the enterprisemission site has some interesting
details and photos a little into the article. one of these picture shows an
object that looks remarkably similar to the easter island heads!

unfortunately i don't have my notes here, but i will put another post to the
group on some interesting ancient sites and their position in relation to
processional numbers if any one is interested.
cheers,
mawk
