for the most part, as of late, i have had many a dream
pertaining to norse mythology (a former life you
say?)............ perhaps that is why i have been
reading a great deal about it........... but i find it
fascinating that in three different areas of study,
tloo, dw's book "the path of initiation", and a few
brief pages on norse mythology all talk about the same
thing............... the experience of life itself.
that is the key to everything. that is what blows away
the concept of good & evil, and of duality in general.
it is not enough to "choose sides"....... i suppose a
few lifetimes are enough to do that, but after a time,
after many lives, and being so close to ascension, it
is enough to realize that we exist to experience all
that we can.
someone recently posted a question of free will, to
which there were many responses (as always), and i
would just 'chime in' with this:
you always have a choice, no matter how things may
appear. it is in those decisions you make, that
therein your experience lies. physical death is
certain....... however, the choices you make here &
there, determine the life (and experiences) you have.
this is a seemingly endless circle, but it is a tree
that is not without fruit. one of my favorite films of
all time, "braveheart", has a tagline on the movie
poster: "every man dies, but not every man really
lives."
is that not what it is all about....... truly? this
'struggle' that we call life? dw will be the first to
admit (if you follow his personal trials & travails)
that absolutely nothing comes easy............... he
is one of the more maligned personalities i have ever
encountered (heck, just look at his wonderful poison
ivy experience!) & yet he seems to come through time &
time again with a renewed resiliency of
sorts............... as do we all. i hate to use a
cliche here, but it does fit....... "that which does
not kill us, makes us stronger." sometimes old & worn,
the phrase still does ring true to this very day.
i have jabbered long enough this day, so i will end
this. however, i wish to simply state to all who will
listen.............
it is not enough to 'just be' at times, this existence
is about living. and the real question is, how do you
wish to live?
someone posts here regularly (petrus - from
australia?) talks about a cartoon called "the
transformers" - - - and he talks about the later shows
(as this went on for many seasons) about "the unicons"
which broke the tradition of 'this side' & 'that
side'........... this book entitled "the path of
initiation" talks about the same thing.......... the
experience itself.......... & norse mythology talks
about this..... it is the experience of life
itself......... the neverending struggle that
exists........... that life is full of
choices............ almost all being
dualistic.......... that define who & what you are.
the wiki article http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ragnarok
.... most specifically in the section entitled "common
misconceptions" tells all.............. which is what
tloo talks about endlessly......... you are who you
are, you are what you are, but ultimately your
experience lies in the choices you have made
throughout your life....................... and the
end, which is seemingly forever distant, is that 'all
is one.'
so i simply ask (as the 80's song goes): who do you
want to be today?
whatever stuggles you have, it is for a reason.......
one that you may not fathom, yet it serves a purpose
nevertheless........... please work towards unity,
towards understanding, towards patience, towards
unconditional love & acceptance.............. of
everyone & everything you encounter........... it is
the ultimate goal to reach, & many times we lose
sight. i leave you with this......
that which i call the four principles of
existence...........
live.
love.
learn.
grow.
peace, love, & light to you all,
~ thomas
