meditating effects?

Hello group. I have been a lurker and enjoying the stories and
thoughts people put out.
I do have a question regarding one of the steps to learn the healing.
Lately I have this pressure feeling up in my forehead, just between the
eye brows during the meditation. Sometimes it becomes a tingling pain
when I focus my thought. I wonder if this is a normal occurrence? I
would like some input.

within the body through which the one energy flow.

Ace - Thanks for the reply whitcombnina! Would the intensifying of
these sensation mean that I am progressing in spiritual awakening? Or is
too much of it hampers my growth? Or does it make any difference at
all? Just some thoughts that ran through my head.

This reading opened when looking for suitable response for you...
Reading 1861 re-meditation "...don't be anxious about it. Let it be a
necessity to thy better being...you have the meditation because you
desire to be attuned with Creative Forces (the Infinite)..." Much is
given about sensations/vibrations as normal.
Most meaningful to me has been the recognition of John's REVELATION in
Bible as a form of Christian yoga. Readings insisted that "God giveth
the understanding, the increase...and in the manner as best fitted to
the individual."
Meditation and The Mind of Man by Thurston/Puryear is a classic.

A: It started happening to me when I began meditating in high school-- it
would feel like a quarter was resting on my forehead between my eyebrows.
That, and the tingling sensation at the top and back of the head, means
those chakras are active and you're "in focus".

A Zen master was visiting my college and he was showing us how to meditate,
and I asked him about it. Why do I get this pulsing sensation between my
eyebrows when I meditate? He said in all of his years of being a monk and an
abbot he had never heard of such a thing-- he said that some people, if they
worry too much or concentrate too hard, they get a crease between their
eyebrows. But he said, through the translator, not to dwell on it, since it
was a distraction, and just "wipe it away". And he made a wiping motion in
front of his face and smiled.

I've never had any pain, so I would think like anything physical like a push
up, the more you do it the easier and less sore it becomes. So, you could
just suck it up and do that. Or do some third eye clearing exercise. There
are mudras and repeated words/ chants you can use to open the chakras.

And too, to be on the safe side, make sure other areas of your life aren't
causing you any stress, because it will show up in the body/ energy centers
and you will have to take care of them and try to process and understand
whatever events are associated with that energy center, or that part of the
body.

On sensations felt during meditation...see Session 50:

Questioner: Each of us feels, in meditation, energy
upon the head in various places. Could you tell me
what this is, what it signifies, and what the various
places in which we feel it signify?

Ra: I am Ra. Forgetting the pyramid will be of aid to
you in the study of these experiences. The
in-streamings of energy are felt by the energy centers
which need, and are prepared for, activation. Thus
those who feel the stimulation at violet-ray level are
getting just that. Those feeling it within the
forehead between the brows are experiencing indigo ray
and so forth. Those experiencing tingling and visual
images are having some blockage in the energy center
being activated and thus the electrical body spreads
this energy out and its effect is diffused.

Those not truly sincerely requesting this energy may
yet feel it if the entities are not well-trained in
psychic defense. Those not desirous of experiencing
these sensations and activations and changes even upon
the subconscious level will not experience anything
due to their abilities at defense and armoring against
change.

Questioner: Is it normal to get two simultaneous
stimulations at once?

A: I'm going to set this story up. It'll take awhile, and it's going to be
is a "funny coincidence gee wonder what that could mean" observation, but
it's related to the post.

My friend and I have had strange dreams. One recurring theme in mine has
always been either seeing reptilians, politicians, royalty, politicians
and/or royalty who turn into reptilians (which started when I saw the Mario
Bros. movie), vampires, Zeta Riticulis, etc., and they're usually
intimidating and ominous, but I always tell them something to the effect of
"If you knew who I was, you would do as I say, I am your master"-kind of
thing. It's happened more than once in my dreams, too, that I've turned into
a reptoid, and it's always the same tall, Orion overlord, three-horned,
winged lizardman with the eye of Sauron in the middle of my forehead.

I hadn't really gone into the details with my friend, but had I told him
about the various dreams I had when they happened. So recently he started to
have related dreams. If you've ever played Everquest before (godforbid), you
know the starting area for your lizardman character is in the blasted ruins
of the once-great-lizardman-empire. So, after he had found an old
Playstation 2 in the street and fixed it up, he began to have recurring
dreams of him and me wandering through this arctic wasteland of ruins,
similiar to the game, and we're lizardmen, he's a shaman and I'm a
shadowknight.

This went on for awhile apparently, then I talked to him for a little the
night before. His latest dream started out with him lying on a pile of
rubble-- only he's a voodoo priest/ druidic looking guy, decked out with
bones, hides, dreads, piercings everywhere, crazy tattoos, talismans and
swords and such. And he told me his sole thought, while lying exhausted and
exasperated on this huge pile of rubble was, "I finally killed him." Because
apparently he had been fighting me up until then.

But as soon as he says it, I crawl out from under the wreckage, wearing this
menacing Dark Lord O' Death, battle armor, and tell him something to the
effect of, "It's not over yet!" And he said, after that, I turned into this
sinister lizard-like creature.

He told me this and I laughed, and asked him what I looked like and he said,
"Oh you were huge and tall, and you had three horns and an enormous glowing
red eye in the middle of your forehead. And the eye was off to the right
slightly."

The only catch is, these are things he didn't know beforehand because I'd
never told him! I had never described to him those exact details before, but
there they were, and that's what he said.

And after that, apparently he and I fought all over the Earth, tearing up
Big Ben, the Mayan pyramids, and such. And I kept getting bigger and bigger,
and he said it seemed he wasn't sure if he could stop me.

ANYWAY. I told you all of that, so I could say, I spent about an hour
earlier tonight, trying to get to sleep, and couldn't for the life of me.
And when I went into the bathroom, I looked in the mirror. I have a freckle,
always have, between my eyebrows, only it would sit perfectly in the middle
if it weren't off and to the right (from my and the mirror's point of view)
a little. And it was in this area I saw I had somehow procured a very
pronounced, red rash.

Psychosomatic manifestation? Message from the gods? Who can say.

Almost typed that same reference but didn't cause it was in the study
guide and it did not explicitly mention pain. Good that people have
written in about their personal experiences. Liked what Michael added
about the analogy with exercise/pain/use.
Imagine that these topics were discussed at LLReasearch/Living the

I wonder why answering the question of what happens if this center were
totally activated.....infringes upon the Law of Confusion. What would happen if

Those battle scenes are played out everywhere.
"It's not over" (battle armor). Where is the true royalty?

Ra Session 22 mentions three known figures, beloved in our day, that
were among the 150 entities that were harvestable at the end of the
second cycle. Saints - Augustine, Francis, and Teresa (These entities,
being of monastic background, as you would call it, found incarnation
in the same type of ambiance appropriate for further learning.)

St. Augustine: "I was swept up to Thee by Thy Beauty, and torn away
from Thee by my own weight."

Makram: I think that part of our lessons in 3d is to
learn how to link our states of mind with the
activation of our energy centers, and the physical
effects this produces is just a part of it. In my own
case, mapping the hierarchy of my states of mind (in
an informal fashion) has been a central part of my
evolution.

I have been paying more attention to the physical
sensations with respect to the energy centers ever
since reading this thread. Hitherto, I have payed
little attention because they used to come at
seemingly random moments. I think that is in line
with what Ra said in session 50: "Those experiencing
tingling and visual images are having some blockage in
the energy center being activated..."

This last Sunday morning, I got really high making
music; I was playing with the sounds of church bells
and rain. It was as if the world around me was bathed
in white light. When I stopped making music and
became grounded, thinking of other things, I started
feeling pressure at the top of my head, which I am
assuming to denote the violet center. The point is
that only AFTER I came down from my higher state of
mind did I start feeling this pressure, and while I
felt this pressure my state of mind was quite
'normal', although I don't really know what normal
means anymore. The pressure has come and gone over
the last couple days.

I know what you mean about what is normal is anymore. Over the last year I
have been doing quite a bit of spiritual learning with meditation and I really
don't notice much of a change in myself and my thought process seem to still be
the same.
I have never tried to examine my state of mind during activation of the energy
centers but I will start.

The only thing that has changed recently and your post identified for me was I
am getting a tingling between my eyes similar to the energy that I feel during
Reiki. The radiation was so strong during meditation that my nose looked like it
was sunburned. It was fairly intense and it started when I meditated for the
first time in several weeks.

Its cool that you have the talent to use music as a meditative tool and it
must be an awesome experience.

Dear Makram, Know there is much info given about the use of music
to awaken the higher centers. It was wonderful to hear of your
experience (church bells/ sound of rain / being bathed in white
light). Could this be an example of resonance? That has not been my
area of research...but I expect that it could be related! Been
fascinated with mystical perception of music and this may add to your
understanding of your experience.
Cayce gave a very clear description in Reading 1469-1:
"For the entity, as each soul, is a portion of the whole. Thus, though
a soul may be as a speck upon the earth's environs, and the earth in
turn much less than a mote in the universe, if the spirit of man is so
attuned to the Infinite, the music of harmony becomes as the divine
love that makes for the awareness in the experience of the Creative
Forces working with self for the knowledge of the association with
same."
Wilcock Reading speaks of "...the glory of the true Christ
Consciousness, the one God that extends throughout all creation, that
everlasting light of pure, radiant love that calls all under its wing,
that thou wouldst feel its holy presence."
Also, "You can indeed hear how sweet the sounds are when all aspects
of the creation are vibrating in harmony and unison." .......NINA
