I just finished re-watching The Lord of the Rings...there's a lot there
that's still relevant I think...reminds me of that article on the subject
someone linked to here once.

I used to think that there was going to be a final major dualistic conflict
of sorts in late 2008...but lately I've started to feel that the worst
genuinely is behind us, and that from this point out, things are gradually
going to become more positive. What do people here think about that?

Not to sound too negative but I think "we ain't seen nothin' yet".
Most of the really bad stuff is yet to come and indeed may be post
2012. My reasoning for this viewpoint is that most people have yet to
awaken. This mass awakening is the point for all of this. If this
awakening were to happen more easily then there would not be a need
for all this cataclysmic catalyst but alas man is stubborn and will
not easily surrender his selfishness. People think think they are
actually right and that they have a right to be greedy and prejudiced
and secular, and indeed that is their right by the law of free will.
But woe to them in the coming times because the catalysts will become
more and more violent , and faster and faster as we approach the end
of the cycle. Time is speeding up as has been given by RA.

The degree to which all this will affect us is largely dependent on
our own degree of development. The main thing to remember as we go
into these times is not to let fear paralyze us. We are creature parts
of the One Infinite Creator. You are me and I am you, we each and
every one from highest to lowest, most negative to most positive, are
all reflections of each other.

All my life I have drawn strength from a poem my mother introduced to
me when I was just a small child. I think it bears repeating here.

DESIDERATA

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste,
and remember what peace there may be in silence.
As far as possible without surrender
be on good terms with all persons.
Speak your truth quietly and clearly;
and listen to others, even the dull and ignorant;
they too have their story.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons,
they are vexatious to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others
you may become vain and bitter;
for always there will be greater
and lesser persons than yourself.

Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.
Keep interested in your own career, however humble;
it is a real possesion in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs;
for the world is full of trickery.
But let this not blind you to what virtue there is;
many persons strive for high ideals;
and everywhere life is full of heroism.

Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection.
Neither be cynical about love;
for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment,
it is as perennial as the grass.
Take kindly the counsel of the years,
gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit
to shield you in sudden misfortune.
But do not distress yourself with imaginings.
Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness.
Beyond a wholesome discipline,
be gentle with yourself.

You are a child of the universe
no less than the trees and the stars;
you have a right to be here.
And whether or not it is clear to you,
no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore be at peace with God,
whatever you conceive Him to be.
And whatever your labors and aspirations,
in the noisy confusion of life
keep peace with your soul.
With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams,
it is still a beautiful world.

Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

Peace and love to you,

James Stephens

Petrus,

I wish I could be more positive, unfortunately my wife and another close
spiritual friend (woman as well) have seen major trouble for the US in ~2012 and
again in ~2025. (Hint: civil war, and ww3.) Hillary will be blamed for the
financial problems even though there is/was not much she could do about it. It
takes a few decades for the US to recover.

I stopped pursueing this info once I found out certain friends and family
wouldn't make it. Of course the future isn't set in stone, but since it tends
to act as a probility-conscious-space (aka feedback-loop), it becomes much
harder to change the event the closer you get to it.

The good news is those that survive this will reap _major_ positive karma for
themselves, since it is not easy to live in this time and be spiritual.

The time now, reminds me a lot of when I was back in Atlantis. I joke with my
friends, "It's the end of the world, again! May you live in interesting times!"

The important thing to remember is that it is not the end, but a beginning. For
some, everyday is becoming more positive. For others, it is becoming more
negative. Life goes on and continues to go on (for next few thousand years at
least.)

And you're right, the golden age of humanity is still ahead of us, where science
and spirituality are finally integrated into a mature, cohesive understanding,
instead of the primitive science and religion we have today.

P.S.
I agree, LotR is an awesome movie/trilogy. Did you hear about the "Extra
Special Super Extended DVD edition"? ;-) ;-)

I certainly feel we are accelerating up to something, and soon. As yet
i can not predict whether it will be dualist or explosive in nature,
whether we will be witnesses to an apocalyptic desolation of life as
we perceive it or lifted to a higher vibration that enriches humanity
and our reality.
Good and evil play off each other in our ego. We may consider
accepting both and desolve the need for either,Making judgement and
compitition useless. What do you all feel about this? Does this mean
we might have to accept an expanded, perhaps infinite possibility?
Could it be done without losing our individual soul by wedding with
the whole?

Thanks, K
