View Full Version : Nature of Being

Greetings,

As with my usual countenance, I am not one to post often. Rather I am simply an
observer of the nature of things that occur upon this forum. However, it seems
that perhaps the energy of what has been occuring of late is something that may
need re-examination as to the nature of our very beings, purpose and intent.

Ego is a powerful thing. It is what keeps us seperate from one another, but it
is also that which defines us in our current state of reality. It is the mask
in which we present ourselves to the world. It is what allows us to experience
polarity and the divisions of consiousness of the One. In that regard, it is
neither "right" nor "wrong; rather it is simply the experiences we choose to
have at any given moment.

Many times we often engage our minds in debate of what we think we know about
the nature of things. But in each observable moment, there are glimmers of
something new we have yet to discover about the nature of what it means to
exist. Ultimately, that seems to be the true underlying game we play with one
another.

That being said, there comes upon us the compulsion to seek unity and cohesion.
Yet time and time again we move toward and away from this goal. This seems to
frustrate each to no end as mind sets to one task, yet sub-conscious moves to
another.

So often we move outside of ourselves, looking for ways we think we need to fix
those who are not us. We try and find ways in which we think others need to see
us better. But perhaps that is the direction that pulls against the very nature
and fabric of what it is we truly have the choice and power to change.

It is inherently ourselves that we forget to reflect upon. What is our own
nature that we seek to understand? We see it reflected in others and invariably
are fascinated or attack those reflections as if we were not self aware. How
seemingly strange that is, when such behavior is observed in those forms of life
that are not self aware see their own reflections. How is it that a bird,
seeing it's own reflection, becomes fascinated by its new companion or angered
by its presence. What does that say about self awareness? What does that say
about ourselves?

Consider, for a moment, that it is not what another does or does not, but rather
what the self does, sees, or feels. Consider that control of the experience is
not the event itself, but rather how each chooses to see it. A single unknown
event can occur -- seen by a thousand different people. And for each, it will
be described in a thousand different ways; each being unique.

And so by this, take what is for you -- what adds to your growth and potential
to define who you are. Discard that which is of no use and think no more upon
it. For in the divine compassion of the One, it is your experience, as you
choose, that is given unto you. By conscious effort, or unconscious focus, what
you as for so shall you receive. The universe is as a mirror. What do you see
in that mirror? It is neither good, nor bad. It is simply the nature of the
energy.

Live well,
