Never dreamt of flying before. In my dream I was just walking down a
steep driveway, leaning forward, and realized if I leaned a little
forward I would be flying (knew I wouldn't fall) and it happened. I
just was slowly flying along about four feet off the ground.
Yesterday I burnt some old letters...

Congratulations, Polly! That's how it initially happened for me as well.
Gaining more altitude takes time...but you'll get there! :)

When I was a child I often dreamt to fly. Sometimes it was very fine, sometimes
less.
Sometimes it was strange or absurd, sometimes it was so real that I could see
places or things I had never seen before, discovering, the day after, that
reality was exactly the same I had just dreamt of.
Only last year, I'm 32 now, I suspected that it could have been some kind of
oobe (out of body experience), a few times at least, feeling then a little sorry
not having these "fly-dreams" again.
Somewhere, somehow I lost something. Can I ragain it? I do think so, now.
Did you ever feel like this?
Love and Light to you all!

I do remember my own flying dream back when I was in 2nd grade(I think).
I actually have to flap my arms to go around. sometimes I perched on a
branch(just like a bird!) and looked down at my relatives and others.
Ahh, the nostalgicness......
anyway, my two cents.
Love & peace!

Hi Mauro and all:
This is a topic that I'm very enthused about. I do beleive that Yes,
indeed you were having out of body experiences (OBE). I've read
somewhere in DW's material that he also experimented with this
wonderful phenomenon.
A few years ago I came across this topic while trying to figure out
what was happening to my son. He was complaining about feeling
paralized upon waking and described his symptoms to me. I started
researching on the net and found this to be one side effect of waking
up before fully returning to your body. I was fasinated and proceeded
to absorb any info I could on the topic.
I too had numerous dreams as a child about flying, as I'm pretty sure
most people have. In my childhood dreams I was really clumsy at it
and there was always the threat of banging into trees or crash
landing. I also went through a period when I was a teenager where
right before that final stage of consciousness when falling asleep, I
would hear a terrible noise repeatedly. It's hard to describe but
sounded sorta like WAA-WHOMP. It was painfully loud and terrified me.
I would struggle to wake and felt paralized. I would literally be a
ball of sweat when I woke. I pretty much ended up with a sleep
disorder for a few years but it eventually stopped. Until 25 years
later. When I started researching OBEs this noise was described (some
people hear hissing or a crackling noise, like electricity). What a
releif it was to know that what I had experienced as a teenager was
common to those who go on astral flights, I just couldn't get past the
fear and basically didn't know what was happening to me. Funnily
enough, now that I accept and welcome this noise I get very excited
when drifting off and start hearing it as it's my cue that a wonderful
feeling comes next. According to most source material every one goes
out of body when they sleep. This is when you connect with your
higher self, spirit guides, passed loved ones etc. and with a good
guide book (there are many) and experimentation you can train yourself
to induce this. I for one am certain that the experiences I've
induced are NOT dreams. I'll try to explain why I feel this way.
The first time I 'knew' it had happened was by accident. But because
I had read so much on the topic I was aware of what had transpired. I
was actually trying to go into a deep meditation (following a
guideline in a book) to get to a past life regression. I started to
recall certain age periods, eg. 30 yrs old, 20 yrs old etc, going back
in time to my earliest memory. You are then instructed to imagine
being in the womb and before. When I got to the womb part all of a
sudden I felt as if someone had grabbed me by the chest area and
pulled violently. I actually felt myself being lifted out of myself.
The sensation is almost indescribable. Exhilerating would be a
understatement. I got hooked onto trying again and again. The first
time I purposely attempted an OBE my noise predeeded lift off and has
every time since. I will admit that I've never accomplished the stage
where you are supposed to be able to control where you go, who you
encounter etc. But, I've had many breif OBEs and the most fasinating
thing to me is that the sensation of leaving my body is ALWAYS
identical. I'm not sure if you can reproduce such a strong sensation
when sleeping over and over. It's a deep physical release and I
cannot find words to convey the bliss. I cherish every one I've had
and always look forward to the next. I have several times got out and
looked at my sleeping body. A few times I've jettisoned straight up
into the stars. Most of the time these experiences have eventually
turned into normal dreams.
Another interesting point: I started all of this experimenting before
I discovered David Wilcock. While reading the Convergence books my
jaw dropped with regards to the connection with vibrations. Almost
everyone that I've read about says that they literally feel their
bodies vibrate before exiting their physical bodies. You basically
change your vibration and so, travel to a different dimention.
It's a wild ride and I would suggest to everyone to investigate this
awesome adventure. There's tons of sites with free
books/instructions. Try it, you'll love it, and who knows maybe I'll
see ya flying by on the astral plane.
Love always,
Lisa
Oh, by the way, I never did acheive that past life regression but the
detour was well worth it.
