Hey guys,

We're going to be taping the show tomorrow at 12 Central, but I'm not sure
yet... my half-hour might coincide with Svali's on the same program to serve
as an introduction. I've spent the night NOT emailing or journaling, just
being myself and letting go of the fear about this. I have spoken very
articulately about it on several different lecture occasions - LA 2005, SF
2005 and Egypt 2005 among others. There is no doubt that I will work in the
Law of One perspective and try to be a voice that encourages people NOT to
fear what is going on.

Watching what a mess has been created in this forum from a similar
discussion proves where the focus needs to be. As Abe Lincoln once said,
"I'd rather die once at the hands of an assassin than die every day in fear
of assassination." I think it's VERY unlikely that anyone would go to that
extreme in my case, because there is so much esoteric / laugh factor stuff
in my work for the 'average Joe' that I can be almost effortlessly
discredited. That goes for EVERYTHING I do - the science, the channeling,
whatever. This is by far the cheapest and easiest way to try to nullify any
influence I could have. As Dr. Greer once said, "publicity is protection,"
and I'm public enough that no one wants to make a martyr out of me at this
point.

So what if I get ridiculed? This too is balance - those who need to hear it
will hear it, those who don't want to hear it will be offered with enough
material that they can deny everything I say and vote it out with their free
will as if it did not exist. I'm really not attached to "proving" anything.
If I can be a beacon of hope for so many who are turned on to these things
and live in fear, then this show will have been well worth whatever
character-trashing campaigns I get from it.

Peace be with you -

- David

I've found myself thinking that in a way, negative greeting is actually
something to be grateful for...because if we get it, it surely at least can
indicate to us that we're making progress.

So true. Didn't Ra say that before STO and STS (or choice), progress was
painfully slow - even by cosmic standards?

By the way, I hadn't thought of the Care Bears as a passion play. Was it created
by Gene Roddenberry under another name?

Love.

A passion play?? I'm not sure what you mean. :)

Sorry, Petrus, my sense of humour (don't we need it just at the moment?).

Earlier you wrote, "the
only form of self-defense that was available to a particular group of
fictitious characters from the 1980s, the Care Bears. The only means they
had to defend themselves from anything negative was to directly project love
towards it...it was called the Care Bear Stare. It worked for them every
time...and it will work for us.
Nichelle Nichols (Lt. Uhura in Star Trek) once questioned Gene Roddenberry
that what he was actually producing in the Star Trek episodes was in fact a
series of passion plays i.e. depicting or mirroring real life by a fictional
story to emphasise the point.

The Care Bear Stare may be a bit banal, but serves as an excellent example to
us all.

Love.
Neil

Oh ok...that makes sense. I hadn't heard that expression before, is all. :)

If you can get hold of it, try and find a DVD of the Care Bears Movie 2. I
know that sounds positively disgusting on the face of it, but it's a
surprisingly astute metaphor for what I'm talking about here...it's a good
example of the type of conflict the Bears generally engaged in, as well.
They'd come up against different individuals with various degrees of
unpleasantness, and as I said, were generally able to cause them to withdraw
purely by a) befriending and teaching the "bad guys'" human accomplices, and
b) directing focused love toward the villain/s themselves. The Care Bears
were a great metaphoric example of proactive STO generally, IMHO.
