Dearest Neil,

With all due respect, I would beg to differ. I resign
myself primarily to lurking, but read almost all posts
as you also claim. Interestingly, you have not read
the very ones you speak to though, or the very ones
you respond to, as you again also have admitted to
above? I have in fact read all the posts on Drake's
responses, and have not limited myself to just
David's, as again, you admit. Is this wisdom, deleting
valuable information without thought? I like very much
what I have read from Drake. These have proven to be
some of the best questions, deserving of a proper
dialog.

I have delighted in Drake's knowledge of the LO1. He
unquestionably strikes me as a scholar of the
information. Infiltrator? Please. If a scholar or a
seeker is not allowed to question, then what are we up
to here? He is not in my estimation an instigator of
anything other than deep, profound, and engaging
discussion. He has demonstrated this again and again
in all of his posts and commentaries. This can not be
denied. In fact, if we read, it isn't even denied by
our own moderators, nor David himself. Chris Hamilton,
our own moderator, and Monica, our past moderator,
just complimented Drake on a very well thought out and
provocative subject matter on this very subject we are
referring to. David has stated publicly that he may be
closer to the information than most.

Only a student of the LO1 would have the ability to
be as eloquent in his posts and his questions to
certain interpretations of the LO1 and with the
ability to challenge, much less stimulate retractions.
Lets be real. Are we of the consensus as seekers that
questioning is a bad thing? I must concur, as he has
stated, and as I have read, that he has never once
attacked anyone's personality, but has in fact limited
himself almost exclusively to the RA Material with
little exception. This has not been the case in
reverse.

I feel his knowledge and command of the information of
the Ra Material is deeper than most, as David himself
points out and admits, and perhaps even rivals
David's. This is something that should be celebrated.
It keeps things sharp. What then is the problem? That
Drake and David both cherish the Ra teachings is very
clear. Perhaps here lies the problem? But again, what
problem? It is delightful and refreshing to see two
very intelligent individuals offering discussion for
all of our benefit. Both should be encouraged. It is
not a contest. Is it? I see one point to be sure
though, Drake has unfailingly stayed on point to
discussion, not personality? We should all aspire to
the same.

Has Drake challenged David on his interpretations on
more than one occasion, and on more than one subject?
Yes. Delightfully so. Have others joined in these
discussions? Yes again. Delightfully so. Have they
admitted to his posts as highly interesting? Yes
again. Is this bad? Certainly not. Absolutely not.
This is wonderful and stimulating. It creates deeper
questions into the material. He has been in my humble
opinion very delightful to read and a very valuable
contributor and as a result should be respected.

He has repeatedly acknowledged David, as he has
others. The records do speak for themselves for anyone
who might differ in opinion. Just read them. I have
read them and encourage others to revisit them if in
question. They are there for all to see, presumably for
such reasons. For reference. A big point with Drake
(reference). I have found him to be well steeped in
academic standing and pursuit. That he is an educated
man of standing seems to be clear. This admission
comes from David and the moderators, and also
particularly by information that is coming out about
his background. Gentlemen that sit on boards of
publicly traded companies are more often than not of
the finest caliber and background, as they are
investigated deeply. Contrary to simple minded
opinion, they do not always attain these positions by
the path of STS alone, now do they? Many sit there as
servants.

These positions do not come easy or by chance. They
come by diligence and focus, not birthright or luck. I
too am an executive, but have only attained the
position on the Board of Advisors to a large publicly
traded company. This is no small accomplishment. It's
one that requires real time, real effort, and real
commitment to a task as well as to a proficiency. To
go even higher than this, as apparently Drake has,
takes even more of the same. It has been my personal
experience that many of these fine gentlemen sitting
on boards have all demonstrated an ability to Focus in
any chosen path they narrow their gaze to. It strikes
me that Drake has chosen a higher Focus to the
Material clearly demonstrated.

Will I be accused now of having banded together as
well for writing? For the record, I have never once
communicated with anyone on the list. Listen to us
speaking of lists? Sound familiar? Frankly, I feel
were Drake to become discouraged, as much as if David
were to, that the asc2k would loose much. David and
Drake add greatly to knowledge. Both should be
encouraged to continue. I hope that Drake reads this
and takes heart that there are more than a few that
see his academia and command of the information and
that it is valued and well received, as is Davids.
Only an LO1 scholar has the ability to write and
question with the fluency and degree he has on the
subjects he chooses. I have found him to be a
wonderful stimulus to thought provoking commentary,
and one that narrows his arguments with great care to
the material with concise clear and definitive thought
process. I am a lurker come out of hiding to add to
Monicas lone bravery in defense of a wonderful spirit
and contributor and encourage others to speak truth as
well. It is my sincere and humble opinion that
contibuting and offering different views, opinions and
questions, will prepare us more for the coming
changes, not the the belief that joining a club will
get us there.

I have little time for bandy-ing argument here in this forum, I do not believe
it serves much purpose to the aims of the group. However, to set the record
straight this once, may I re-state the entire relevant paragraph?

My post actually read:

>I know nothing of the history other than David's recent outline; however, I
have found Drake's 'arguments' tiresome and specious. One can argue black is
white all night long if one so wishes, and immature students often do this as a
wind-up, or an ego-trip, although one could detect something more meretricious
here.<

You very carefully edited my post to make your point, Axis, and this must beg
the question, "Why?"

Nowhere do I "admit" that I only read David's side of the story, nor would I be
in a position to analyse Drake's arguments as 'specious', nor declare my
assessment of his attitude to be 'meretricious' had I not read his words.
Strangely your styles seem similar.

I would point you to the initial salutation invariably given by Ra and by Q'uo:
if Drake's slanted meanderings resonate with your bias, then, "Fine. That's OK."

But it don't vibrate well with me. Is that "OK" with you?

I shall not address your plaudits of Drake in detail, as his 'authority' on the
Law of One has already been commented upon by more qualified scholars than I.
However,I would note that on reading your eulogy, Queen Gertrude's words to
Hamlet sprang to mind:
" The lady doth protest too much, methinks."

I am grateful to have been of service in providing the catalyst for your post.

Love.
Neil
