has anyone ever heard of the wolfberries of a small Chinese province? many of
it's citizens live to be over 100 years old and very active every day. the
province is called Ningxia and the wolfberries of that specific area are known
to be the most powerful of the world by far. they are true superfruits.
although i just realized that the miraculous works of the wolfberry in NingXia
are
most likely an effect that they are picked and eaten fresh around there. but
still the wolfberries are incredible benificial. see www.youngliving.org or just
do a simple search on "NingXia wolfberies" and you will likely find some good
info and studies.
love, me

Hi All,

Following on from the thread on ways to increase energy. In addition
to whatever one considers to be a healthy diet, I think drinking
Kombucha may be of benefit. I heard of it about 2 years ago, and
started drinking it occassionally about a year ago. I brewed my own
culture and noticed that I felt more energised, and my intestinal
functioning was much better.

Anyone else have any experience of this fungi?

Here is a link with some research done on it:

Anyone that feels led to use Kombucha needs to know that the process is deadly
if the mushroom is grown or the liquid stored in plastic containers. I was not
aware of the danger until I experienced it for myself with a severe systemic
allergic reaction.

Also, be aware that there is an ET energy connection with this process. I am
not judging it positive or negative in this regard. Just be sure that Creator
is leading you and that it is not merely another means of reaching outside
ourselves for empowerment.

I know people who love kombucha. However, I was not able to use it as
I found it too stiumulating, in the same way that caffeine is
stimulating. People who are sensitive to caffeine might want to use
caution.

Hi, Vuy. That is most intesting. I did Kombucha some
years ago, but I dropped it after moving. Reading your
posted material makes me wonder about starting up again.

I may have dropped out because of reading some less than
enthusiastic opinions on it...That was before the internet
so I should do a new search and see what the accumulated
wisdom now is.

On a similar tack the use of vinegar is advised by some
in macrobiotics...the story told is that the ancient
Japanese warriors wouldn't be caught dead without a
supply of pickles to catalyze their swordarm energy.

I have been interested in making Kom Chi ...fermenting
such as Nappa Cabbage in a crock pot. I have the large
pot waiting and the culture sitting in my fridge..just
lacking the ambition and fortitude to put it all together.
Meanwhile I use a bit of commercial Kom Chi in my green
smoothies _ with a bit of balamic vinegar -- hoping to
accomplish something or the other.

But thanks much for the information...after reading your
stuff I can't imagine how I've lived without it!! (:>))

V: Please expand on this as I would like to understand. What do you
mean if the mushroom is grown?. The culture grows everytime
you "brew" a batch for drinking. Do you know why is plastic so
deadly?. I use properly graded food containers to put mine in as
well as glass bottles.

Hi Dragon,

You can vary the strength of the brew depending on how strong you
like it. ie the longer you brew it, the stronger it gets. Plus you
can drink as little or as much as your system guides you to do. I
started with a tiny glass, and manage half a glass per day quite
comfortably. I also know of people that can down a litre with no
problems. Each body is different.

I also follow my intuition and if I don't feel like taking it, I
give it a break, for months on end sometimes.

Love,

V

Hi Billy,

Follow your heart with this one. It did me no harm, but I am not
religious about taking it. At present, I am feeling a need to be
systematic about it for a while as my energies are fluctuating too
much onto the tired side. I am feeling my intestinal flora need
balancing, which is when I turn to Kombucha.

V:It seems that fermentation is something little explored in the
West,(apart from alcohol:) but in Africa, it is not so unusual to
drink or eat fermented food. Its poor people's way of preserving
food without a fridge, plus has some great health benefits.

V: That's what I thught when I first read about it!. But after the
initial excitement and almost immediate benefit of drinking it, I
calmed down a bit and let my body tell me when it needed an infusion
of Kombucha. For a while, Kombucha and Colloidal Silver were the
only "medicinal" things in my home. Very handy for travelling if you
don't want to carry a bagful of supplements.

Love,

Vuyiswa

Dear Vuyiswa,

What I was trying to say is that it is detrimental to grow the mushrooms in
plastic bowls. When I was culturing my own years ago no one told me that it was
important to use glass. At that point on my journey I was not well informed
about the toxicity of plastics in relationship to our health. The acidic nature
of the Kombucha brew leached chemicals from the plastic containers that then
combined with the liquid. I became quite ill and broke out in a rash on my
inner arms and various other locations on my body. If you are using food grade
containers than you may be safe but not everyone will be aware that inexpensive
plastic bowls are not a good choice.

V: What do you mean by an ET energy connection? Sorry for asking

Shortly after I began brewing and drinking Kombucha I had a night-time
conference of sorts with otherworldlies. I have a lifelong history of contact
with them. They made it very clear that their
direct influence was involved in the creation of this lifeform. I can still
envision that meeting clearly in my mind.
Though its use can be beneficial for a segment of Hu-manity, as
with everything else, Kombucha is not for everyone across the board. I suggest
that it is necessary to communicate with Creator
before ingesting any health products. If nothing else it is always
a good idea to use kinesiology to test ourselves for resonance with whatever we
are planning to ingest.
Sorry about the double spacing. All of the sudden as I started to reply to your
second question I could not type it any other way.
Love and Blessings,
Gayle
