I wanted to share this, a friend sent through email to another forum
of ours.
one day i was travelling towards my destination and after reaching
the 3/4th of the distance it almost got dark. I looked ahead and found that road
was split into three. i could not guess which
way to go as i was first time traveller on that path. there was a garden beside
the road where some people were resting. i carried ahead as i have to finish my
journey before the dark. i took few steps ahead and found that road 1 and road 3
had a sign board
where as the road 2 had toll gate with a man guarding it.
The Sign board on the road 1said it was leading to my destination
and it was named 'Past'. Road 3 was also leading to my
destination it was named 'Future'. My confusion deepened . so,
i went to the guard and asked him which way to lead. he said no matter which way
you go u can reach the destination at the same time. i was curious to know which
way road 2 would go. i was
amused to know that even this would lead to my destination.
i asked him the difference, he said the road 1 has the light but
it is very dull and road 3 is totally dark and refused to talk
about the road 2. he asked me to pay all the joys i have earned o far to let go
on that road. I thought for a while and agreed as i too was curious about it. i
crossed the gate took a few steps and found that light was too bright but the
road was bad too . It was full of pot holes and bushes full of thorns.
After walking a while i turned towards my left and there i could
see my past. i fell down as my foot stepped into a pot hole. I
had slight injuries but I was all right. i stood up and started walking again.
After a while I looked to my right where i could see my future.
i was curious and kept walking and walking. Suddenly, a bush
full of thorns brushed my hand. I almost lost the skin and it
was bleeding. So, I decided to keep walking rather to look
around as i still had a distance to cover before the dark to
reach my destination. After sometime it started getting dark but i found that my
destination was close so, I kept walking.
i reached my destination i looked around to see if anyone is there.
There were too many and every one is bleeding. But, some are weeping
and others are horrified. i could not smell what happened there. i
looked around to see if anyone can tell me what happened. Suddenly I
found a with bright light surrounding him. The light was so bright
that i could not see into his face.
he told me that the people who are weeping have walked through the
road 1(past). They chose it because their paranoids, fears and other
similar problems. they couldn't risk to see into their future that's
why they chose it but when they were travelling , their past
haunted them. it made them feel guilt for their deeds. it made
them depressed for their failures and that's why they are weeping. the light was
dull because it was their ignorance. he said again, the people who were
horrified are the ones who traveled
through road 3(Future) they had guilt in them they carried their
sorrows with them so they chose to ignore the road1 but it offered
them the mystery which made them tense and it showed fears which
horrified them. it was dark because they refused to take their
knowledge along.
All of them refused to part from joys they have earned so far.
i suddenly wanted to know about the people i saw at the park. he
said they're the confused lot. they are yet to decide which way
to go.
i closed my eyes n found solace and peace in my soul. i turned
back to have a last look at the road I traveled. I found a sign board on it
which read "You have just traveled through the path
of the truth named 'Present'. The light you carried was your wisdom" .
i turned around and the man was missing. I smiled, and started towards my new
destination.
The man I saw was my own consciousness. The aura he was emitting was
the knowledge I carried along with me on this path.
