hello group,

i noticed that while michael grogan used vinny pinto's name while
promoting sungazing, he failed to mention vinny's very common-sense
approach to sungazing. he even has done a survey (not overly
scientific with controls, but beneficial nonetheless) to help any
one decide responsibly if they want to sungaze. here is a portion of
what vinny says and the link to the rest of the article and his
small survey:

"according to many experts within western medicine, sun gazing may
be harmful to the eyes, possibly even resulting in long-term serious
damage. my advice is that you do not consider sungazing (at least
outside the "safe" time windows of the first 1/2 hour after official
sunrise or the last 1/2 hour before official sunset) for even one
second without consulting with a qualified and licensed health
professional, as well as using your common sense!
and, i must note that there are even some folks (albeit a tiny
minority) who have sungazed only during so-called safe time windows
and who have still reported that they developed some degree of
significant eye damage [snip]"

"please note that the information that you find on this page about
sungazing may be more balanced and objective than, and may differ
from, the information and hyped claims presented on some other
websites on the topic of sungazing, and also from the content of
some lectures and published articles on sungazing from other sources.
this is due to the fact that a significant number of other websites
devoted to sungazing have been created by self-styled sungazing gurus
or sungazing teachers or sungazing "advocates"...snip

in other words, if you choose to do this, please be responsible to
yourself, and your eyes :)and don't get roped in with smooth-talkin
dudes who just wanna make a buck:)love you all...and your eyes :),

dear brent and all,

comparing the extreme conditions of damage from looking at the sun during an
eclipse to looking at the sun immediately before sunset and after sunrise is
scientifically equivalent to comparing a flamethower and a handwarmer.

consider that the sun is red, and appears larger, at sunrise and sunset
because the rays at the red end of the spectrum are being bent to your eyes
by the earth's gravity, while the harder rays, especially uv, are going over
your head. at an hour before/after this extreme condition has largely passed,
but the violet/uv are still diverging from the spectrum at your eyes. in
addition, the sun's rays are still going through a very much greater
thickness/density of atmosphere at a tangent to the earth's surface at your
location (measured in gm/cm^2) which is a significant radiation shield.

the concept seems promising. i wish those engaging in this practice the best
results, and will consider this more.

and as my mother often said: "moderation in all things."

best wishes and peace to all, jim

hi group,
maybe there are some interesting areas to be studied in this
practice of sun-gazing. however as a practicing optometrist and all of
my ophthalmology friends will strongly advise against it. after every
solar eclipse, we get several patients who have starred at the sun with
retinal damage. some may recover, others will be permanently damaged in
the fovea area of the macula. this is responsible for our acute central
vision. so that stating that no one will go blind is a gross
overstatement indeed, because there are ample case records to show that
too long of an exposure causes lasting effects.
the uv effects are not the most damaging rays to the eye, in fact
most of those will be absorbed by the cornea and lens and never reach
the back of the eye. the sunrise and sunset times are just because of
the decreased intensity of the sun's energy and allowing for a greater
exposure before damage results. atmospheric conditions will have a great
deal to do with this also. there are more factors to deal with than
being discussed here.
everyone's body is different in what it needs and how it reacts,
just like our levels of consciousness. maybe we can explore this
phenomenon scientifically, just like any advice or endeavor we choose to
follow before jumping headlong into the fire, so to speak. especially,
if the results could have been achieved by sitting and meditating facing
the east in morning or west in the evening with your eyes closed,
because the acting energizer may and most probably is out of the visual
spectrum of light and permeates our etheric body.

love and light,
brent

i saw hrm last night in culver city (la) and he gave a great presentation,
talking for two hours about the benefits of sun gazing. people
were commenting on his muscle tone and how clear and strong his energy
felt.

he also advocated a future where people use the gifts of
mind before using technology (e.g. telepathy instead of cell phones, and
the
ancient peruvians, he said, could fly on their own and they entered their
houses
from the top) and simply said that when the mind accepts, the body adapts.
the sun is a path to a full use of the mind.

at the end he urged people to just try it and see if they liked it and to
become their own testimonial because, after all, it was free.

there were people in attendance from venice beach who said that
there is a small group that meet in the evening to do the sungazing.
one said he was up to 30 minutes or so and said he felt great.

hey group,

my thoughts on sungazing is that it is almost impossible for me to go
outside when the sun is shining and not look directly at the sun no matter
what time of day it is. the sun is so magnetic to me and when i look at it,
it feels like an instant connection is made, like a bolt of electricity.
another thing which makes me feel that looking at the sun is completely
harmless is that a lot of the light given off by the sun is directly from
6th density beings fusing together and i have faith that my 6th density
friends are giving off nothing but purest of light. in a way when i look at
the sun i pretend that i am looking at ra and that just makes me smile :)

peace,
mikey

beautiful thoughts! i have always done that too! but didn't think
anything of it because it was never for more than a couple of seconds
at a time, so i just assumed that was ok. kinda like i was sneaking a
peek.
