Hi all,
every once in a while I have these weird reaility shifts were I
remember/experiencing something & then I snap out of it to realise
that was'nt reality, its like its familar but its not if you know
what i mean, it feels right/myself when im in the "trance" but not
when im back in reality. its kinda like when you wake up from a life-
like dream to realise that it was a dream but were really convinced
it was reality, both feels real although im sure im only out for a
moment but it feels longer than that. this happens when im relaxing
at evening half watching tv in my room.
any ideas whats happening with me?
Cheers, Chris.

Hi Chris,
I can't explain it the way a scientist might, but as you say this
happens when you are in a very relaxed state of mind, you might be
being more aware of the ethereal reality around you. I get similar
occurances in that realm between waking and sleeping. You could be
tapping into a variety of things including past life recall, other
parallel realities, or just sloughing through things that are at the
top of your mind.
Without going into fear, it is worth noting that sleeping or zoning
out in front of the TV is probabaly not a good idea, due to your
susceptability to signals of all kinds when you are relaxed.
From the information you share, I don't think it is something to be
unduly concerned about. And as you alluded,it is all reality, but
you unintentionally tap into other aspects of reality. Maybe
meditation would help bring more clarity on this, if you don't
already do so?

Chris, I believe Kurt Vonnegut referred to this experience as a
consciousness loop. One's awareness sometimes slips
between different loci in time. In the normal passage of time,
awareness shifts in one direction for the purpose of realizing
continuity. Occasionally, we choose a consciousness loop
experience for the purpose of shaking up our 'forgetting-fullness
of being' perspective.
